Lauren and I are SOOO excited! Our engagement session at Allenberry, our pre wedding day moments,…read moreand our wedding day of 170 guests which encompassed the whole Stone Gables Estate, which is massive, and was mainly at Star Barn was a dream of laughs and special moments. Lauren and I thoroughly researched photographers for our Wedding 3/25/2023 at Star Barn Stone Gables Estate. Our family fully rented out Moonstone Manor the week of the wedding. Star Barn and Moonstone both advised that Paul V was their preferred Photographer and Moonstone had my favorite "Dino photoshopped wedding shot" hanging centered on their wall when we toured them which was done by Paul V. We were considering 4 other photographers before our conversation with Paul. On our first call with Paul, Lauren and I had so much fun, laughs, and connection we looked at each other and knew he was the one we needed before we even ended the first call. He has his system, and is very organized, which took a lot of stress off of us on our wedding day. His package is insanely amazing he has been able to provide. He is the total package! He is the Legend! Every vendor we talked to for our wedding as we locked in Venue and then Photographer first knew of his amazing photography art, his hard work ethic, and his fun personality! Asking if the vendor knew Paul Vs work was Lauren and I's screening question for our other vendors as if they knew Paul Vs work then we knew they had expertise with our Venues to make our wedding day special. If you have a wedding at Star Barn, Moonstone, or photo needs anywhere as he offered to travel multiple times across multiple states for us you NEED HIM! He gave us same day wedding day photo slide show, he got stunning photos of everything, everyone, and every special moment especially the unscripted ones as he is always in the right spot to get the special moment. The morning after the wedding we got hundreds more photos plus he is still working on some super special ones for us. Our PERFECT wedding team (vendors): Paul V Photographer, Star Barn Venue, Moonstone Manor Venue, Food for Thought Catering, Miss Lyss Planner, Fx Photobooth, Klock Entertainment (Nick) DJ, Blossom Bliss Florals, Tangles Hair, Dublin Bridal Dress, Premiere 1 Shuttle.

I hired last year and was extremely excited to work with such a well known and recommended…read morephotographer.. However my hopes were quickly crushed at our rehearsal. I had hired a wedding planner to help coordinate the event and as she was teaching my family in what order/how to walk Paul came up to me and said "You have to put me in charge of this it's taking forever!!!" I was a bit confused as it hadn't even been a half hour so I just looked at him weird and focused on making sure my family was confident and happy. During the second run through he came up to me again and said that 'This is ridiculous we have to hurry up! This is taking forever!' I then explained this is the first wedding that they have ever been in and they need to practice. If he wanted to leave, he could. He decided to stay and project his negative energy. The beginning of our wedding day Paul was scheduled to show up at 9AM.. He finally showed an hour later and at that time my mother talked to him explaining that any more negative words/energy would not be tolerated. He agreed and came up to me and said not to worry he was going to work with everyone and it would be a positive day. Once we were at the ceremony venue he had pulled my planner aside asking if he could have a table set up in the middle of the reception to set up his computer so he could edit during the entire reception. Thankfully she denied him this as the center of my reception was going to be myself and my husband.. Not the photographer. After pulling the planner aside he then pulled the best man aside to see if he would carry his camera equipment for him all day.. Everything then ran smoothly until the reception. He had instructed me to hold my bouquet of flowers pretending to throw it the first time then to come back up and actually throw it so he could get his shot. I did so and my little sister caught the bouquet!! However, while I was celebrating this he ran up to me and yelled "You didn't do what I said?! I didn't get my shot!!!!" I responded with "Yes, I did and it's a little too late now to yell at me." Then around 8:30PM we were all on the dance floor having a great time! When Paul came up to me asking if he needed to capture anything else. I responded with "I think we're good until the sparkler exit if you'd like to take a break."He responded with "I don't ever capture the sparkler exit." I said "I sent the timeline to you months in advance.. Why didn't you mention this prior?" He then said "What the fuck?! Are you fucking kidding me...?" At which point I pulled my father to have him talk to the man I hired who was screaming fuck at me on the dance floor of my wedding reception. The photographer stormed out of the reception causing a scene. My wedding planner and family tried to get him to stay explaining that I/we didn't care about the next day gallery. He could take a month to edit and get us the photos. During this exchange he made the following remarks to my family and staff: "I'm a professional I don't work like a dog for my customers" "I have another wedding I have to prepare for" "My camera is too heavy and I'm tired, hold these things" "Fuck you" "I never stay this late" "My pictures are always good, there's nothing left to take pictures of. I'll just be taking the same shot" (2-3 hours before event ended) "Even if I did stay till the end there would only be 7 people left." After this display of pure professionalism, he stormed off and left my reception 2 hours early, even though he was contracted for the entire day. We then had to hire a second photographer for the remainder of the night which left me with a bill of $750. Which is in addition to the LARGE bill I prepaid Paul. The day after the wedding instead of being excited I was worried that I wouldn't receive any photos. Luckily he did contact me asking to speak with me and posted the photos. However, the photos I specifically asked him to capture he didn't. Our fist kiss photo is blurry, he didn't capture AJ's reaction to when he first saw me, and he missed the bouquet toss. After two days of calming down, my husband and I called him as he wanted to "smooth things over". We did not receive an apology. He instead said "he was dealing with an incompetent wedding planner", along with an assortment of other excuses about how hard he worked, and how heavy his cameras were. Basically saying that because he felt he did some good work that he should be excused for the lack of professionalism he carries. During this conversation we had asked if we could be refunded for the heirloom album that was part of our package as we didn't feel comfortable working with him any longer. He said he would not do that. We then asked him to put the other photographers photo in this album as we wanted it to showcase the whole day. He said he would think about it. Do not hire Paul V Photography. His images may be pretty but his lack of professionalism and nervous nature is not worth it.

This will be an interesting review to do as my wedding was in 2007, but I only recently contacted…read morethem to get an album made. I was embarrassed to contact Conte so many years after our contract ended. Kara got back in touch with me quickly and made me feel at ease. She explained that, because of the time lapse, if I wanted an album I would start anew. The digital cameras of 2007 are not what they are now, but they were still on their server. Many of our photos were dark and hard to distinguish. Kara took care editing the photos we chose for the album and they turned out beautifully! I'm actually happy I waited to get my album b/c the quality of the originals were greatly improved upon. You could make out details better and the darkness was adjusted. Kara also did a little more digging and said my engagement session photos were also still available. I had the entire wedding photo collection and engagement collection added to a usb drive. I am very pleased with how the album turned out and can't speak more highly of Kara and her work. I hope to work with her again in the future.

Digital high-resolution copies of all of the pictures provided on DVD with rights to print. Most of the pictures that I will be printing will be for photo albums or weren't even printed and will just be in albums online. I don't need expensive prints for that, and wasn't about to scan over 500 pictures to create online albums. I did pre-purchase 4 8x10s and 4 5x7s to be able to get professional quality prints of a few for ourselves and family. Tina was a little late and missed out on the "getting ready" pictures, but honestly, I was so nervous at that point that I think it would have been worse if she was there. The way things turned out, I only have pictures of myself in full makeup and hair, and in my dress already. She was so attentive the whole evening, I don't know what I would have done without her! She was as concerned with making sure we were okay and didn't need anything as our maitre d'! The pictures came out beautifully, and she was right. Most of the pictures that I thought "what the hell is she doing????" turned out to be some of my favorites! Photography, however, is subjective, so feel free to check out the pictures if you'd like. http://www.pictage.com/client/event.do?event=468276 Event code 052408 1/2 star off for Tina being late. 1/2 star off for not including black & white/other edits along with regular shots, but I can do that on my own...

His prices were excellent, definitely worth it for the quality that he provides. I received my wedding photos and videos on a USB in the mail a week after the wedding, amazing turn around time! A few folks became pushy about getting their pictures done, and he maintained our boundaries and informed them he would get to them when he finished with the bride and groom. The photos came back absolutely amazing, and I am so happy I went with his service.

Finally, they call us back 3 DAYS before the wedding to go over the timeline. Photographer on the wedding day was terrible. He gave us little to no direction whatsoever. The little direction he did give was to put us in all kinds of awkward, posed positions (i.e. hunched over, staring off into random directions). And the videographers were complete amateurs. They kept getting in each others shots. Now, I haven't shot many weddings, but I'm pretty sure you don't want to see the other videographer chillin in the background of EVERY FRAME. They set our wedding video to '80s elevator jazz. Like, the kind of stuff that probably came stock with Windows 95. It was bad. Then, finally get the word that the pictures are ready, only to find that a digital copy of the photos is $250. TWO HUNDRED AND FIFTY DOLLARS. For a flash drive that costs $10 and the 30 seconds it will take to drag and drop the photos onto it. This was NOT communicated when we first met with the photographer. WHAT A RIPOFF. Avoid these clowns and find someone who up front, communicates, and actually knows what they're doing.

We're so grateful to have these memorable photos to share with our friends and family.

I had a great experience! I went to Marly for a few head shots for my website (I'm a writer,…read moredirector, producer). Before I even showed up for the shoot I made sure that I expressed my anxiety via email about actually being in front of the camera for once. Marly's response was quick and totally put me at ease about any physical insecurities I was afraid would show up in High-Definition in front of the camera. She also gave me advice about what I should wear (makeup, wardrobe, and accessories) that would look good in front of the camera. I felt better going in but still very nervous. When I got there Marly was very patient with me as I had felt my face would do this weird nervous twitch as soon as the camera came out. Marly suggested we play some of my favorite songs I had downloaded on my phone which really helped me relax. Her encouraging words throughout the shoot helped me with my awkwardness :-) The equipment she used was quite impressive and she certainly knew how to use it. Overall, Marly made a nerve wrecking and potentially disastrous experience one that was pleasant and dare I say enjoyable. The pictures came out crisp and beautiful. She used a lot of natural lighting which really complimented my skin tone. I would certainly go to her again should I decide to brave another adventure in front of the lens. Thanks Marly!
