I was married last summer and my husband and I decided on using Photography from the Heart. Looking back we really wish we had not. Before our wedding we were really excited to have Tanya as our photographer and during the wedding she was great. It was after the wedding that we really ran into problems with her. She does not answer her phone or return phone calls. When she did pick up her phone she was very rude to myself and my mother who had paid for her services. Photography From The Heart does not value their customers or have a level of customer service that is acceptable. She lost half of our wedding photos and lied to us about it for four months. When she finally came clean about the photos that were ruined or lost she promised us that she would make up for it by sending us a free bound photo album, but she never followed through with her promise. We never recieved the photo album. Most of the photos she took are of my dress only, my head was cut out of the majority of them. My husband and I would not recommend her services to anyone. Our wedding was perfect except for our photographer. read more

Her relaxed and friendly personal style is just right for us - and she is totally open to whatever style of photography we want for the big day. She has tons of experience and her prices are very reasonable. I really like the fact that she's local to Yosemite, unlike some of the other photogs we were considering - the San Fran people are super talented but much more expensive and not nearly as familiar with Yosemite or the other vendors in the area. I was helping my brother and his fiancee who live in Boston plan there wedding so I had extra pressure to make sure everything was perfect. And Tanya with Photography From the Heart was perfect!!!! She was extremely kind and professional. All of the wedding guest felt comfortable with her, and she was exceptionally good with the kids. In 2016 Tanya did our son's senior pictures. Then his engagement pictures in 2017. Then his wedding in 2018. Tanya has also done family pictures for kids & grandkids. ALL of the pictures are amazing. Tanya is a joy to work with. She has a wonderful personality and is energetic. She has captured some wonderful pictures in some great places. At the wedding, she got some pictures in areas of the church we hadn't even noticed! Her pictures really are from the heart - we just love them. Tanya and her husband were fantastic photographers for our wedding. They were such wonderfully talented, and happy-friendly people. We got married at Tenaya Lodge, and we had such amazing photographs from our actual wedding ceremony and reception. We also had Tanya shoot us the day after our wedding in Yosemite, and Tanya made it so easy. She planned out about a 5-hour shoot across various locations in Yosemite National Park, and we just went along for the breathtaking ride! Not only do we love the photographs capturing our special moments, but we have the gorgeous backdrop of Yosemite as well. I truly couldn't recommend Tanya more from a talent perspective, a personality perspective, and from an affordability perspective. Sadly, Tanya's became pregnant and had to cancel my wedding. She did not call me, but simply mailed me my deposit check back. In my opinion, a phone call would have been the professional thing to do. I have seen her work and it is beautiful, but I question someone that wouldn't make a phone call to cancel a client. read more
