UPDATE: Well, I did finally get some response from the company. On again, off again communication. Two months in, the system still isn't functional. I was in a bind: needed my solar panels re-installed following a new roof installation. My original installer kept promising and promising to get it done (and we had a signed contract), but never followed through. I soon learned that he was in financial difficulty. Our house was under contract with the closing fast approaching. I scrambled to find another installer. I reached Greg at Photon Brothers, and he assured me that they could get the work done, and more importantly: they were willing to take over the project started by another company. We met with multiple solar contractors and Photon Brothers was clearly the best choice. The bid process was snappy and nonpressured. The permit process was easy + they totally took care of it. Installation occurred in a timely manner and they showed up when they said that they would! The crew was professional and respectful of our property. They said that they would remove a dish for us but they did not. During the installation process we found the office lagged behind with communication + billing. The office lacked communication skills, yet the onsite crew (and salesman) were great. The office took forever to follow up with us regarding final invoice receipt and incentive check once installation and final bill was paid. But with patience (and a great salesman who followed up for us) we got it completed with satisfaction. read more

After a couple months of researching solar panels and installation companies for the first few months of 2016...with several companies coming to the house and giving me a detailed installation plan and estimate, I decided to go with the Photon Brothers and their SunPower panels. To say the least, Matthew Moody's presentation spoke for itself. From my extensive research, I already chose SunPower...it was just a matter of who was going to install them. With my list of questions literally in-hand, Matt answered each one concisely with data to back up his answers. I could not be more impressed during the presentation. He quite frankly blew the competition away. He worked with my solar loan company...Mosiac...so with no money down and an agreement in-place...I merely pay for my solar loan instead of to the electric company...money I'd never see again! Once my loan is paid off, I'm looking forward to years of electricity with no electric bill. Thanks, Matt!! :-) It wasn't too long after the presentation concluded...with permits in-hand and my electric company's approval...the work was getting accomplished. I left for work that morning and came back to all the brackets attached to the roof and 22 panels securely mounted. Honestly, I don't even noticed they're on the house anymore. The moment the switch was turned on last summer, I went to the new meter and was happy to see it rolling backwards...that was about 6 months ago now. I can say I haven't had an electric bill since! Everything is working as advertised as Matt promised. Thank you so much, Matt. I really appreciate all the time you took with me as I decided to finally cut the ties with MVEA. I couldn't be happier with the panels and your team's installation. I would HIGHLY recommend the Photon Brothers and Matthew Moody to anybody who wants to stop wasting money with electricity companies while doing their part to harness the sun's energy.
