She took all our requests and concerns into consideration. We did some creative shots and were so happy with the way our photos came out. Finding a time where everyone was in one place was always a challenge. BUT, we were already planning a family getaway weekend in Woodstock, so no challenge there. The next part, finding a photographer who was available the day I wanted, who was good (really good!) and reasonably priced. I did research the way I always do...first I turned to my friends. "Help!" I said, "I need to find a photographer in the Hudson valley or Catskills for a family photo shoot. Does anyone know anyone?" No one knew anybody. So, then I turned to Yelp, cause what else do you do? I reached out to 5 photographers...and from the first email, Denise stood out. She was friendly, to the point, and had a beautiful portfolio to share. Her prices were reasonably and she exuded a warmth and sincerity, even through emails, that was palpable. I booked her. When she showed up at our rental house to photograph all nine of us (ranging in age from 3 to 77) she was nothing but professional, friendly and gracious. She was on time (to the minute). And full of energy and guidance. Our hour of photo time went quickly!! it was fun! And, even though the youngest had a few minute long meltdown, Denise was not phased...and ended up getting some of the best photos during and after the meltdown. She edited and emailed the photos so quickly! And even got my hard digital copy in the mail super fast. The photos themselves are gorgeous, and there are quite a few we are looking forward to framing. We started by setting up a…read moreSkype call and just chatting about what we were looking for and the services he could provide--he and his team do it all. He also quickly provided two past references that showed us their galleries and explained their experience working with him. We ended up booking Joshua along with a second photographer, videographer, & photo booth. When we met Joshua for our engagement shoot, he was very easy to talk to and fun to work with. He worked quickly and was able to direct us through the engagement shoot getting all the shots we wanted as well as ones that he thought would look good. On the day of the wedding, it was as if Joshua and his team were not even there. His camera doesn't make any shutter noises so even during quiet times during the ceremony you didn't hear him. As a matter of fact, he blended in so well that we didn't even know where he was at times. Just like at the ceremony, Joshua and his team blended into the reception taking great shots but also somehow were always around when a group wanted to take a posed shot! Turnaround time on the photos and video were great. We received a first look preview of photos within 2 weeks and our highlight video the week after. All photos were fully edited within a month! I can't speak highly enough about working with Joshua and the quality of his work. He is well worth every penny he charges.
