I'm a 65-year-old woman who was ready for a big transformation -- not to look like someone else, but to feel like myself again. I started by interviewing several surgeons because I was planning to have a lot done and I wanted it to look natural. Many had great reviews and seemed capable, but Dr. Kim stood out from the very beginning. She was thoughtful, thorough, and so knowledgeable. My first consult with her lasted about an hour, and the second one went for two full hours. She took tons of notes on everything I said. I remember walking out thinking, She's the one. So, what did I have done? Quite a bit! I had a face, neck, and brow lift; fat grafting (used as filler in my facial area); lower eyelid blepharoplasty; and perioral dermabrasion on my upper lip. I was under anesthesia for around 8.5 hours. From pre-op to post-op, the process was easy to follow and honestly kind of seamless. I've had zero complications -- none. Now I'm two months out, and I feel fabulous. I think I look refreshed and natural -- not overdone at all. My scars are already fading, and I'd say I look 10 to 15 years younger. My neck was my biggest issue going in, and now it's one of my favorite results -- absolutely perfect. An unexpected perk? The fat grafting has improved my skin quality. My complexion is much clearer now, and the age spots I used to have are barely visible. Dr. Kim also has such great bedside manner. She's professional and focused but also warm and easy to talk to. And her staff -- from Alejandra to Erica to Maria (and I know I'm forgetting others!) -- they are all so kind, personable, and supportive. I always felt like I was in good hands. Before surgery, I felt like my outer appearance just didn't match how I felt inside. I'm active, healthy, and full of energy -- but I looked in the mirror and saw tired eyes, sagging skin, and that neck I couldn't stop noticing. Now, just a couple months later, I feel confident again. I still look like me -- just a better, fresher version. It truly was one of the best decisions I've made.

However, I was extremely disappointed by the bathroom policy. Patients are required to drink a large amount of oral contrast before the scan, which can cause significant urgency and loose stools. Despite this, I was not allowed to use the restroom inside the facility and was directed to a bathroom outside the office by the entrance of the building , requiring a long walk. For someone with an overactive bladder or gastrointestinal issues, this creates unnecessary stress and discomfort. After asking patients to drink so much fluid, access to an on-site restroom should be available. I hope the facility reconsiders this policy, as it would make the experience much more manageable for future patients.

I get to my appointment today and get turned away because I did not have my inspire remote device with me. I advised them that nobody told me to bring it and the past 2 MRI's that I've had at their other location I was told I didn't need it because of it so why would I bring it today? They proceeded to tell me that protocol is to bring it to every appointment with them just to be safe. Which I asked why would I if I got told the last two times that it wasn't needed. To add to my aggravation, whoever called and reminded me of the appointment told me to be there at 12:45. When I got there, the doors were locked and whoever answered the door was rude and told me they were at lunch and to come back at one. I get that they need to take a lunch , but the snarky, rude attitude should not have been there. Especially when it wasn't my fault that I was there at that time.

I was dealing with blood blisters, a poor latch, doubts and fears about supply, and a baby that was temporarily not gaining enough weight. As a first-time mom, it was extremely stressful, and there were many tears. However, Juliana's visits always left me feeling more informed, reassured, and capable. We also did a weighted feed during every visit, which confirmed that my baby was indeed getting enough to eat. I still remember the relief I felt when I learned that. Juliana is a big reason why I decided to stay the course with breastfeeding. (Thank goodness, because now I LOVE it.) My insurance covered the cost of the visits, so I just paid the $60 travel fee. I also attended her breastfeeding class with my husband before giving birth. This was super helpful, but I recommend taking the class within 1 month of your due date. We took it a bit too early in my pregnancy, and forgot a couple things by the time I gave birth. I did the research and found the absolute BEST midwife I could have ever prayed for. From the very beginning of our journey Christina Sanders made us feel like family. She included everyone in all of the appts, let's just say my 3 year old, Stori, is now a midwife in training. Everything about her and the world of midwifery, let us know we made the perfect decision. It was a very special intimate experience. Though natural labor is excruciatingly painful, being in my own space with my husband and daughter Ahmyiah by my side, along with Christina and Kristen Rud (Midwife in training) it was so peaceful and I wouldn't have wanted it any other way. There was less stress, less anxiety, no stupid intake questions that had been answered 100000x before, nobody making you feel incompetent, nobody barking orders. Instead, It was perfect lighting, soothing warm water, Christina reassuring me that I'm doing great and to simply let my body do what it is naturally designed to do, all while surrounded by nothing but love! It's hard to fully describe, just know that it exceeded all of my expectations and I am beyond grateful that I had the opportunity to take this journey with so much love. The postpartum care was unexpected and soooo needed. 1 Day after they came back to check on both of us, bringing me tea and food to assist in the recovery process. Tinctures and herbs to soothe discomfort. 1 week they were back checking on us and providing me with more yummy treats. They even prepared the most beautiful floral/herbal bath for Xo and I to share. It was magical. The GIFTS they made for us OMG if I was a cryer Id have been balling...A couple weeks later I had some weird wacky things going on with my skin, most likely had to do with my liver needing to heal. Christina jumped right in to help me find awesome natural soap for the weird rash and she gave me another tea to help my liver recover, it worked! 6 weeks postpartum we went back to the office for our final check. It was bittersweet, knowing our prenatal journey was over and that would be the last time I'd sit in that office as a pregnant mama. As of today, Xo is 5 months old. We still keep in contact, and always plan to. Christina and Kristen are two beautiful women with hearts of gold that we never knew we needed!!!

From then on my interactions with Amanda became more meaningful. I always brought my first son to all my appts and Amanda was so sweet at letting him play with her stethoscope. During these appointments she talks to your baby as she is checking baby's heartbeat. She looks at your health holistically, and even allowed to me to talk about stress and worries that I was experiencing at the time. I feel this was so important for my overall pregnancy health. The day I have birth I was already experiencing intermittent labor and my water was leaking out. Amanda came over and offered different options on how to get my labor to progress, and was so patient with me as I was able to dictate what I wanted to do and not do. She gave me the space to listen to my own body. She was incredibly patient and calm and guided my husband and I every step of the way. And let me remind you, her voice is so soft and soothing that when you are in the thick of labor contractions, she is all you will want to hear. Several hours later, my son was born and Amanda was by my side! Amanda is truly a caring person and it is evident that she loves what she does. Her energy is so warm and inviting. When my baby met her, he just melted into her, as if he knew her. This entire experience was nothing short of incredible for me, and I really have Amanda to thank for that. My wife and I expressed concerns about her pelvis being too narrow but she brushed it off and we believed her. A mistake that nearly ended my new family. She would say that something was fine and then would say that the same thing was concerning. We chalked it up to her being a bit eccentric. On top of that, we only got reimbursed a little over $100 from insurance and we had Anthem PPO at the time. Not necessarily her fault but it added to the negative experience and expenses. My wife's labor ended up being 24hrs at home and 36hrs total which ended in a C-Section. She was little to no help and it was Sally that recommended we go to the hospital. Plug-in for Rancho Springs, amazing hospital and staff. It's not what we wanted but definitely what we needed and more. We didn't want a hospital birth but they have the best ward bar none. Only hospital me and my wife would go to for this. From our conversations with other people that used her in the past, I think she was once a great midwife but from our experience, I would highly discourage anyone from using her services. If you use her, you'll be playing roulette with you and your child's life.

During our meetings we were constantly recommended to seek outside opinions from my OBGYN and medical facilities, causing us to spend thousands more during my pregnancy and birth on top of her fee for services ($6000). During my birth Anne and her assistants made the environment stressful when I expressed for my birth to be peaceful to my liking. Upon Anne's arrival she said that I was fully dilated at 6am. At 3pm Anne had checked me and told me that she had still felt some of my cervix (I WAS NOT FULLY DILATED). She had complained earlier in the day that her fingers were too short to check properly, so I'm not sure how she has been a midwife and her fingers be too short to check her clients. I was instructed to push while not being fully dilated. Anne appeared impatient and she didn't seem to know what to do to help me progress. After an hour and a half of pushing she recommended transfer to the hospital. Upon arrival at the hospital I was checked and was dilated to AN EIGHT. The hospital determined that my baby was too large to have naturally. During my pregnancy we brought up the size of my baby and Anne would discredit all the ultrasounds and weight estimates that we were given. I had my baby via c-section and was born at 11 pounds 1 ounce, he would never have been born safely naturally. After my hospital stay we returned home to a birth pool fully inflated and still containing the water from my labor, this was after I was told that everything would be cleaned up before our return. A warning to all, a contract is presented and must be signed that states once Anne shows up to your birth/labor there are NO REFUNDS of any sort. Ultimately I would not recommend Anne's services as a midwife. If you are looking for a midwife to trust as your expert and for a safe, comfortable birth, look elsewhere.

Dr Pham, and his staff of professions both at the surgery center and his office are the the best most professional caring group I've ever experienced in health care. I had an under eye lift, breast implant removal, a lift and fat transfer to my breast. I shopped around but after my consult with Dr Pham I knew he was the one I wanted to do my surgery. She is a gifted and talented surgeon -- a true standout in her field. Let me back up and explain how I found her. I'm a 65-year-old woman who was ready for a big transformation -- not to look like someone else, but to feel like myself again. I started by interviewing several surgeons because I was planning to have a lot done and I wanted it to look natural. Many had great reviews and seemed capable, but Dr. Kim stood out from the very beginning. She was thoughtful, thorough, and so knowledgeable. My first consult with her lasted about an hour, and the second one went for two full hours. She took tons of notes on everything I said. I remember walking out thinking, She's the one. So, what did I have done? Quite a bit! I had a face, neck, and brow lift; fat grafting (used as filler in my facial area); lower eyelid blepharoplasty; and perioral dermabrasion on my upper lip. I was under anesthesia for around 8.5 hours. From pre-op to post-op, the process was easy to follow and honestly kind of seamless. I've had zero complications -- none. Now I'm two months out, and I feel fabulous. I think I look refreshed and natural -- not overdone at all. My scars are already fading, and I'd say I look 10 to 15 years younger. My neck was my biggest issue going in, and now it's one of my favorite results -- absolutely perfect. An unexpected perk? The fat grafting has improved my skin quality. My complexion is much clearer now, and the age spots I used to have are barely visible. Dr. Kim also has such great bedside manner. She's professional and focused but also warm and easy to talk to. And her staff -- from Alejandra to Erica to Maria (and I know I'm forgetting others!) -- they are all so kind, personable, and supportive. I always felt like I was in good hands. Before surgery, I felt like my outer appearance just didn't match how I felt inside. I'm active, healthy, and full of energy -- but I looked in the mirror and saw tired eyes, sagging skin, and that neck I couldn't stop noticing. Now, just a couple months later, I feel confident again. I still look like me -- just a better, fresher version. It truly was one of the best decisions I've made.

Violation #6 I have implant removal surgery 5 and half grueling and painful months after my initial surgery at San Diego Surgical Center observed by over 20 members of the medical profession. My surgeon did not speak to me before or after the surgery. No photos or descriptions of the removed implants. No pathology report of the fluid and material removed from the surgical area as requested by Kaiser Medical. No documentation of key findings and/reasoning for my pain and suffering the prior 5 months Violation #7 My surgeon sends me paperwork releasing me as a patient (abandonment) the day after I request the documentation above with stitches still in my body, unanswered questions regarding next steps, no new plastic surgeon to step in and take his place during the peak of Covid 19 lockdown. I am told it will take 6 months to a year before I heal and see the results. As I continue to seek Medical help, and Learn New findings as of June 10,2022. My surgeon was negligent in his care and treatment of me in that he failed to care for and treat me in accordance with the standard of care and skill required of and ordinarily exercised by the average qualified surgeon engaged in medical practice at that professional level, such as that in which my surgeon was engaged. My surgeon's medical negligence included, but was not limited to, failure to reschedule the procedure at the height of the Covid 19 Pandemic, failure to select an alternate surgical facility and accompanied staff equal to that of San Diego Surgical Center, failure to examine post operative findings properly using available technologies ie: MRI tools, and diagnose my medical condition, failure to provide, recommend and refer me for appropriate diagnostic study, care, consultation, and treatment, failure to properly recommend the appropriate follow-up with me, failure to monitor my progress, failure to communicate any findings or discoveries during the second surgery and the withholding of information and documentation regarding my status.

Dr. Ford was my third and final consult and I knew instantly she was the doctor for me! I was ready to book before the consult was over - it was the first time the meeting felt more like a conversation and not just a formality. Vinny was so incredibly friendly and helpful in scheduling and all of my pre surgery questions. I was shocked when the anesthesiologist reached out to me a day or 2 before surgery just to ask if I had any questions or concerns. This conversation quickly quieted any pre surgery jitters I had. Day of surgery was a breeze. Dr. Ford really made me feel safe and cared for before surgery. Consultation is quick and not by the doctor. He came in the room for 2-minutes to view me, then left. The assistant described the surgery is done under local anesthesia so you're awake, no thanks. An outrageous price was given, then assistant walked out and came back with a new number, it felt very car-dealership like. No follow up after consultation to see how I was doing, which spoke volumes considering my visit was due to an issue with his original work. I did my research and got a second opinion- the difference in care and service was like night and day. I'd steer clear of Dr. Sarosy. It's time for him to retire.
