Then on the appointment day I got up early and was there 45 min early only to discover I left my ID and insurance card at home and they refused to see me. Politics of our "medical care" today. So I litally flew back home and got back with the cards exactly on time and they said there was nothing they could do but reschedule. I told them how horribly stressful this is and the only day I had. Then I asked if someone could tell me what to do if it falls out. Finally someone came back and told me to just push it back in. No forgiveness from them and I have no forgiveness for them.

Because of all of this, they are able to charge only $18 for an adjustment ($25 for the first adjustment, which comes with a spinal x-ray.) Dr. Ryan is awesome! He's a quick, efficient, and talented healer. His wife/office assistant listens to my issues before-hand and takes a quick history, doc reviews them and then has me adjusted and out the door in 10 minutes. You can't beat paying LESS for a great adjustment than my co-pay would be to go anywhere else. One thing: The adjustment room does have 2 tables, so you will often be in the room when someone else is getting adjusted, or there will be someone else there when you are. It doesn't bother me, but it could be a issue for some.

She was trying to hold it together while taking my information. (I was a new patient for him.) Once I got back to the room, she must not have put my information incorrectly, because he told me to come to the computer and enter my own information. Which I thought was highly inappropriate! He then told me to stand straight up, which I couldn't do because my back was messed up, and then he got mad when I couldn't do it and spoke very gruffly to me. He cracked my back, and it hurt like hell. I've been to three other chiropractors over 35 years and never had that issue ever. I told him I was in a lot of pain, and he disregarded it completely. I told him that I usually do yoga to stretch my back out and he said that was worthless, even though the three other chiropractors all said that was great for stretching out your back muscles and bones. Then he was bragging about how many clients he had and how great of a chiropractor he was. Totally arrogant and rude. I would never go back, and I would never recommend him to anyone.

My sadness is that there seemed to be a problem with my insurance needing office notes to pay a claim. I found this out calling my insurance company after I was asked to pay for the visit my insurance would have paid if notes were submitted. I paid the money out of good faith because I always had gotten great results from Dr Dan! My last visit with Dr Dan I felt uneasy..... Not because of Dr Dan but with Dr Lisa whom appeared to be having a bad day. On that day I felt my care was more about the money not my care. My experience is the ER when I first arrived was great but fell short fast once I got up to Labor & Delivery. Once in my gown, a nurse came into my room stating they were going to send me back downstairs to ER and that I should have never came up there (couldn't tell you the nurse's name because she never once told me it). That's when I mentioned that the ER nurse had called they gave the okay to come up to which she responded "of course they did" and rolled her eyes. As if that wasn't awesome enough, once she left the room I heard her ask the other staff if I had walked upstairs or taken a wheelchair--- walked--- "I told you she's fine". The whole experience was horrific and I am not looking forward to giving birth there in the next couple weeks. Sad that they treat expecting mother's in such a manner during such a vulnerable time. Talk about the DuPont Difference.

They have outsourced to Labcorp. There is only one Labcorp facility that has any hours outside of regular business hours. That facility did not appear to be open 20 minutes after their scheduled opening time on Saturday. The paper you asked staff to supply to patients says that this decision "will enhance patient care." It has done exactly the opposite. Because of the familiarity we had by regularly using your hospital for routine things, it made us more inclined to use your hospital for urgent issues. I don't know what was driving this decision. If you are trying to be like Parkview, please stop. The one thing you have going for you is that you are not Parkview.
