But there's a pattern I've noticed even with the skilled ones: They land on a diagnosis quickly, run the protocol, and that's the session. You leave feeling okay and book again out of discipline more than conviction. Jacques at Acuity Acupuncture is different; he doesn't rush to a conclusion. He actually looks, asks follow-up questions, remembers things from previous sessions, and keeps adjusting based on what he's learning about his patients. He's precise in a hands-on way too: he takes his time measuring and placing every needle, using your proportions as the barometer for where the points should go. It sounds like it should be standard and somehow isn't always. You can feel the difference. I originally came in for sleep, which he sorted out. But what I didn't expect was everything else that's shifted since. My cycle is calmer, I feel more connected to myself in a way that's hard to describe but unmistakable once it's there. He formulated a custom herbal blend for me to support both my cycle and the allergies that tend to flare alongside it, which isn't a simple case to treat, and he approached it like the puzzle it was rather than handing over a generic formula. What keeps me coming back is how much he thinks about your care. He explains what he's doing and why. Every session builds on the last one. You get the sense he's actually working on you between appointments, not just showing up to tap needles in. Two other things worth mentioning. This is NOT the case here- they took my insurance and I feel absolutely amazing! My pain is lessened after only one office visit, and I will be returning for treatment once a week. After having a baby and working from my home office my back has been getting worse and worse. I am so glad I visited this office! The staff is incredibly friendly and accommodating. The doctor was personable, kind, friendly and efficient! I was seen quickly after a small amount of paperwork and whisked away to my X-Rays. The doctor showed me exactly where and why I was experiencing this pain and what she wanted to do to help alleviate my pain right away. She also made some other suggestions as we were chatting about my overall health concerns which was just so nice. You can tell the doctor here and staff truly care about their patients. When I could no longer stand the pain (and literally stand), I went sought advice from the surgeon's office. They suggested I go for physical therapy. I was reluctant at first since I interpreted PT to mean physical torture, at least that was how it was after surgery. Hoping to have a new start, I took the advice of a family member and gave Physical Therapy Associates a try. I went to their website and read the about us information and was impressed. I went for my first appointment with Dr. Fiebert. As he conducted the initial assessment, he continually asked if various bends, flexes and stretches hurt. The previous facility I went to did not pay much attention to things hurting and wanted me to soldier on through the pain. (At the time, I thought was the norm.) After concluding the assessment, he said he thought it could be resolved in 5 or 6 visits. Before leaving, I spoke with their friendly receptionist Chris who scheduled my other appointments. Over the course of a few weeks, I went to my appointments doing the various exercises that were recommended. Dr. Fiebert and the various staff working in the therapy room continually checked on me as well as other patients asking if anything hurt. If some things hurt, they had the patient stop and then assessed the issue. The difference between what I experienced with the other facility I had used previously and Physical Therapy Associates was like the difference between night and day. Most importantly, my treatment at Physical Therapy Associates has me back to normal with no more pain and armed with the knowledge of how to prevent and resolve it should it happen again. If life's aches and pains are getting to you or you have a situation where you need physical therapy, Physical Therapy Associates is your answer. Dr. Fiebert, his therapy staff will have you back to where you want to be. They are knowledgeable, effective, and compassionate. Had I known it was going to be so effective, I would not have waited so long to go in. It would have saved me a great deal of pain and money from not taking Tylenol.
