Please read if you have abdominal pain. I had sharp pain in my left rib. They say to visit urgent care before trying the ER. I should have just gone straight to the ER. Urgent care cannot diagnose things beyond flu, covid, and other basic illnesses. They told me they couldn't do anything for me and to just go to the ER. They charge $30 upfront. After the appt, they sent another bill for $156. My low rating is to due to being charged $200 for a useless appt. Like most of US healthcare, they are a business. read more

Doc, PA, and Staff are excellent and friendly. But why did they get 3 stars? Simply there's only so much friendliness can take you. When you visit urgent care vs your regular doctor odds are you're in pretty bad shape and you couldn't get an appointment or walk-in to your normal doctor. I've visited 3x throughout the year and every diagnosis is suspected to be a virus (yeah I have young kids, I know they bring back a petri dish of germs from day care) but 3x I've gotten the response, "we think it's virus and there's not much we can do" I understand enough that viruses you have let your body fight through it, but some form of medication to ease the discomfort through the process would certainly help, basically I've been told to use OTC but the fee is still $165 per visit. As much as I hate the appointment process of waiting on your normal doctor, but from my perspective, if you're at the point of seeing Urgent Care and paying the charges expected, you would expect to get prescription medication to fight whatever ailment that you're suffering from as opposed to getting "there's not much we can do" and maybe some OTC meds will help you feel a little better read more

My hands and knees got injured few days ago while I was traveling abroad, my family physician asked me to make an appointment few days later, if I go to emergency room at hospital, insurance would charge me more. So this is perfect situation that urgent care comes in place. The service was quick and right to the point, Dr. Dukes examined my hands and knees, took X-Ray, few minutes later I was told there's fracture on my left thumb, he helped me to put on a heavy duty thumb splint and recommended me to go to specialist for further treatment. Only caveat is that even this place is in my insurance network, it charges $5 more for co-pay. Other than that, it's all good. read more

After the school's football Certified Trainer advised our family to get my son's possible staph infection looked it, I first went to CVS Minute Clinic off 141/Aberdeen which had a wait of 45 minutes or more). Remembered that our Orthopedic Surgeon, Dr. Billy Haynes, moved to a new location & shares space with Physicians Express Care of Creekstone. BEST decision I ever made! The location is convenient, open on weekends & the space is so clean and well-maintained. Upon arrival, Danyelle helped sign us in and we were immediately seen by Megan. Very sweet and genuinely concerned. Staph confirmed and out the door with correct script within 20 minutes! We would of still been waiting for CVS' Minute Clinic!! Thank You to Danyelle & Megan. Worst place. My husband came here for something he needed checked out and they couldn't do nothing for him, was charged a fee for nothing. That was a couple months ago. Yesterday I went in hoping this time would be different. Also, was charged a fee of $50 for nothing, only to be told that they couldn't do much for me. Make sure they will be able to help you out before giving them free money. I suggest you just go to your primary physician, or hospital. read more

Seemed very knowledgable. Seemed to care about the patient, not just quick in and out patient/physician encounter. Paid up front fee of $125. Did not even meet the doctor. Instead was seen by PA. For a minor splinter on hand they referred me to a hand specialist, prescribed general antibiotic and bid goodbye. The splinter was not removed and there were nothing done. For a desperate patient, it feels sad, disappointed and cheated. read more

Well the reviews were correct! This facility was outstanding. Hubby and I felt horrible and we went yesterday afternoon. It was our first time there. Sure the care is just as other places which should be called urgent care. I was referred to a doctor who doesn't practice at another location. All went well until I got a bill of hefty amount.guess what they know how to rip you off by applying codes that insurance sure would pay only an amount and later send you a bill for the rest of the amount. Why is the difference? Because they know how to cheat insurance providers. Voila you end up either paying or screwing you credit score because they send it to collections after 60 days. I was only in need of a rx refill until my new insurance kicks in, but I was impressed by how quick their team worked and they all had a smile on their face! Even better. My family and I have used this urgent care center on several occasions. Everyone working here has never been anything but the friendliest and most professional individuals. I think there has been a wait only one time that we have been here, and, even then, we only waited for about ten minutes. Usually, we are seen immediately after checking in. The office is clean and nicely decorated with modern furnishings. Everything about the place is very comforting and welcoming. It is, by far, leaps and bounds better than any other urgent care center I have ever been to, based on both the office itself and the people working there. i really like this urgent care. Often times when i become sick at work, I drive past several to go here because 1. the wait is never too long and 2. the NPs/PAs are efficient and to the point. No doc anywhere, saw a new PA that's being trained. Unimpressed with both PA's knowledge . New PA takes my BP with a pathetic cheap version of a wrist machine! Really ! Your at a urgent care! So she gets a crazy number of course and then goes to get a manual and struggles with that.Yes very nice people but I am at an urgent care for medical treatment. I came here while having an allergic reaction across my entire body. I needed a steroid shot and a prescription for additional steroids. I have since recovered and have not experienced another reaction since then. I was seen by the nurse practitioner Jessica and she was very rude to me. She insisted on looking at my completely unrelated ear piercing and was adamant that it was infected. She actually literally started arguing with me about whether or not it was infected. However, when I pressed for antibiotics (since surely if you have an infection you will need antibiotics to fight the infection) she refused and told me that coconut oil would clear an infection. In that case someone should call up Emory Johns Creek up the road and let them know their patients can all be treated with coconut oil. I was honestly speechless and stopped trying to argue with her. Only as an afterthought did she bother to ask to make sure I didn't have any sensitivity to coconut oil. She has no business recommending non-medical homeopathic methods to patients, especially patients who don't need them. In case it wasn't clear, you should never put coconut oil or tea tree oil or ANYTHING on a piercing except sterile saline. Needless to say, I did not put any coconut oil on my ear, since it wasn't infected in the first place, and even if it was infected it would have made matters worse. My ear was swollen after she touched it and twisted the jewelry, and the jewelry is still stuck in the position she left it in and I cannot move it back myself. And by the way, it's doing just fine - and I didn't do anything to it. Let me just remind you again that I came here for an allergic reaction and not for my ear... In addition to the terrible non-medical advice, her bedside manner was awful. She seemed to think she was in an episode of Grey's Anatomy because she told me, "I can do two things. I can tell you what it is, and how to treat it." And then she looked up at me and paused for dramatic effect. She was standing there waiting for me to ask her. Seriously? She did not continue speaking until I actually said something. All of this for a steroid shot. I came here because it was conveniently located and I didn't want to go to the ER for something so trivial. Not to mention the girl who was shadowing her who I guess was some kind of medical assistant. I wouldn't know, she didn't introduce herself. She just stood against the wall silently and watched all of this. The only reason they get 2 stars is because the third receptionist/medical assistant who helped me the whole time was absolutely wonderful. She is actually the one who administered the steroid injection, not even the NP. Would not recommend seeing the NP at all. read more

They did a great job applying and removing sutures from my son's injury. But they then inappropriately double-billed us. Everyone makes mistakes, but this was in October '15 and now, in late Feb '16, I just finished my seventh phone call trying to get ANYONE to fix their damn mistake. Through today, they spent probably 30 minutes working for me (or my son) while I have spent several hours working for them, desperately trying to convince incompetent billing employees to fix their mistake. Today came with a new promise that the mistake has been fixed. I first heard that on Dec 1st! If I work for you more than you work for me, I shouldn't have to pay you! read more

My daughter plays soccer and needed a physical right away. I decided to give them a try since prior, I used two other urgent care centers in the area. For my first visit here, I was amazed how great the place looked. Its like an upscale version of an urgent care center. What was even better was to learn Dr. Dukes is the director of one or two emergency rooms throughout the metro area and has taught at Emory.
