I have…read morebeen calling around to get a form completed for school so that I can go on a trip out the country. I called the kind lady at the front desk, and asked if the doctor would see me today since I wouldn't make it there until 7PM. I showed up around 7:15, and was checked in no problem. I was called to the back and the nurse did my vitals. There was a portion that needed to be filled out by me and a portion for the doctor to fill out. Maybe I missed it, but I was not told to have my portion filled out before seeing the doctor. I usually filled it out with the doctor and go into detail about my medical history (not my first time getting this form filled out). Dr. Harvey came in and immediately scolded me for not having my portion of the form not completed. Made me feel like a complete burden by saying "that's not filled out? You do know we are closing right?" Like I didn't call before to see if I could still come AND pay to be serviced. I guess the nurse that came in before him was there for decoration, because he came in and asked for the exact same basic information. Shallow questions, had no desire to learn more detail about my medical history and wanted to make an uninformed decision without asking questions. I felt rushed and unimportant, and it was so painfully obvious that he wanted me to get out. Then he went out in the hallway with the nurse continually being rude, saying loudly "she didn't even put her name on this form" like I am not right there in the other room. Like he couldn't even be bothered to even ask for my name. He is one of those elderly people who think they can talk to younger people any kind of way, because I guarantee he would not talk to his peers or someone his own age like that. If he doesn't want to see people that late, maybe he should have it where the cut off is at 6PM or maybe not work that late so other people will have to deal with that. I was not treated like a professional who paid for a service. I definitely would not recommend and I will not be back ever.

My first impression was that it's a huge space with lots of rooms. So incredibly clean. The nurse took my stats and showed me to a very comfortable room that had two chairs and a table. I liked that I could sit in the chair while waiting for the doctor. The doctor came in, was very friendly and professional, and wasted no time getting to work. They were able to do a strep and flu test and in no time had my results. When I left, they gave me Rx (I had strep), and a get well bag. When I got home and opened it, it had chicken noodle soup, a face mask, some tea, hand sanitizer, cough drops, and tissues. My visit was Saturday and they called me tonight (Monday) to check up on me and to see how I was feeling. All this, and they're "just an urgent care." Amazing. I've found a new place to go when I'm not feeling well.

She did not apologize for her behavior, which made the situation even more upsetting. I spoke with the physician about the incident, and she acknowledged that my frustration was understandable. The physician was excellent. Healthcare professionals, especially technicians who work directly with patients, should be properly trained not only in their technical skills but also in compassion and empathy. Patients who are ill and seeking answers deserve to be treated with respect and dignity. It is concerning when someone working in this field does not demonstrate basic respect for patients.

Deceptive Billing -- AVOID at all costs!…read more On June 22nd, my mother visited this clinic for a scheduled appointment, and what followed was a textbook case of bait-and-switch billing fraud. Here's what happened: 1. They skipped all intake forms, including insurance verification--unlike every other medical visit she's had. When questioned, staff insisted, "You don't need to fill anything out." 2. They assured her she owed $0 at checkout, despite her expecting a $30 copay (per her insurance). 3. Weeks later, a $644 bill arrived--with the clinic blaming HER for their refusal to collect insurance info upfront. After complaints, they "discounted" it to $355, then $287--admitting no fault whatsoever. This is predatory behavior, not an accident. I've reported them to the Georgia Department of Law and urge others to avoid this clinic. Shameful.

I looked online on both Yelp and the clinic website and this location is listed as open until 9pm and available for walkins. It was 7 pm when I looked this up, so I felt I had plenty of time and wasn't going to be one of those butthole customers that show up 5 minutes before closing. We drove 20 minutes in the opposite direction of the er only to see a tiny piece of paper on the door saying "we are closed" another saying "X-ray broken" and another saying "at full capacity" (even though they were closed and there wasn't a car in sight.) It's 2023. Update your website with your hours. There's even an option to indicate it's temporary so patients don't get confused. Don't put "accepts walk ins" in your business plan if you can't take new customers - as indicated by one of many pieces of paper on your glass door. While this thankfully was not an emergency, I indicate that it's 20 minutes in the opposite direction of the er only to illustrate how frustrating it is to drive 40 minutes round trip for nothing. When an up to date online presence would tell any stressed, overwhelmed parent they should just head straight to the er and that 40 minutes could be put toward the long er wait times. I finish this post with a question. If this office can not figure out something as simple as the internet, are they really reliable enough to help you in an urgent situation with your children?
