Not recommended this clinic . Unprofessional doctors. They just care about grabbing money. Worst service ever .

The biggest pro is that everyone is very personable, and the MA & doctor both had excellent bedside manner. It was genuinely a good experience while I was being looked at. The biggest con is the wait time. I initially walked in around 9:30am, hoping to be looked at 10-10:30am and make a work meeting by 11. However, I waited until nearly 10:30am (an hour later) and ended up leaving because I had to go. I returned with a booked appointment for 12:30pm, and I wasn't looked at until almost 1:45pm. Numerous people that arrived after me were taking in first, and I'm not sure why -- maybe it was a triaging thing. This is a great place to get your immediate/urgent care done, but note that it's not really immediate. If you can find a way to kill the time, you won't be disappointed. However, if you plan to be in and out, you may need to consider another location.

It turned out it was the flu, but when you have a 100 degree temperature and you are 77 years old and your chest tightens up and it's hard to breathe, and impossible to talk without wheezing, it is scary. He patiently listened to all of my concerns and addressed them, coming up with solutions that have already started working. I can't thank him enough! You will quickly realize how much he cares and how much he knows.

We stopped in here for a vaccine in an effort to avoid the poor service at the other chain pharmacy…read moredown the street. Our effort was ... only moderately successful? Although we had made an appointment and there was nobody here when we arrived, it still took 20-30 minutes after checking in at the kiosk before anybody acknowledged us, and even that was just furtive eye contact followed by more mysterious absences. The vaccine administration itself was competent but not great, and took a strangely long time as well. And as my 5-year-old declared at the end of our visit, "they call it a minute clinic. It shoud be an 'hour clinic'!"

Do yourself a favor and DO NOT venture to this Minute Clinic located in Hyde Park (Kimbark Plaza)…read more Let me just break down my experience, I'll try to make this condense as possible. 1. The Wait - I left work and decided to check out the minute clinic because it's close to home and work. I checked myself in at the kiosk at 3:49pm. Once checked in, the machine said my wait time will be 63 minutes (I noticed there were a few people already waiting). Cool, not a big deal. 2. The Wait (part 2) - So fast forwarding 2 hours and 15 minutes, I am still waiting. Mind you the kiosk machine now says I have 38 minutes before I'm seen by the doctor (or whatever unprofessional they have working there). Somehow 63 minutes turned into 2 hours and 15 minutes, with an additional 38 minutes to wait. WTF? 3. Inconsiderate - Luckily I was only going for a check-up and nothing major; however, while waiting 2+ hours, not one person employed with the Minute Clinic or CVS came to check in and say "hey, I know we're behind but sit tight for us". I received nothing! The doctor, PA, NP, or whomever she was did not say one word to the people who've been waiting before me...or myself. With that being said, it's safe to say her bedside manner and doctor professionalism is complete dog shit. To end, after feeling compelled to buy some snacks to keep myself entertained and to keep from staring at the astronomical prices for a damn vaccination; I decided this ridiculous and I refused to be disrespected like this, so I left. I called the 1-800 number to file a complaint and the representative acted like I was speaking gibberish and proceeded to ask me my personal information. Needless to say, I will never subject myself, my loved ones, or a dying strange dog to this Minute Clinic, so I'm asking you to GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!

#53/2024 This is a part of the University of Chicago…read morehospital system This is known as the DCAM for abbreviation This is where you will find all of your doctors that are part of the University of Chicago Hyde Park campus. This is also where the labs are for testing. This is not and I repeat not a part of the actual hospital you don't check in here for the hospital for emergency room operations etc It can be very very congested most of the time during peak hours. Working your way to where you get dropped off can be a real pain in the ass you don't have to wait because there's a little cluster of unorganization. If you park yourself in the parking garage you're fine but if you prefer to use the valet or if you're getting dropped off or you're also taking Uber or private car you will find that it's all right there as they're getting dropped off at one time and it's usually a cluster fk. I usually use valet or Uber and I've gotten used to the wait and I pretty much know once you come in though they're very helpful showing you where you need to go. This is also when you walk in on the entrance floor where the pharmacy is if you have to pick up prescriptions or stuff like that. There is a little cubby hole by the entrance doors where if you use valet parking where you validate your ticket and you pay and then you just wait for your car to come around. That can be a little congested too sometimes after you pay it's automatically transmitted but you might wait 15 or 20 minutes depending on how crowded it is if they have to snake their way through other cars. For what I've needed though for the most part it's been fine the one good thing is they're pretty much divided up between cardiology vascular on floors. Same with labs. So it's fairly easy to negotiate through the elevator. It's something you have to get used to though if you have major surgery done here at the hospital you will be returning back to D cam quite often because a lot of the doctors even though there's five or six other University of Chicago owned places throughout the metropolitan area many of them don't utilize it so you may have to come down to Hyde Park. also the food court on the second floor is really good they got some really bang on Pizza which is just awesome. And they make fresh grilled burgers and chicken sandwiches too. So after all the mess if you have a delay at least you can get some good vittles down the gullet into the belly
