After a couple of hands on treatments from Mr. Angelo LoCastro I started to feel relief. He works on me hands on, using a technique called myofascial release. This stretches the fascia which relieves the pain. He gave me exercises and a ball to stretch on everyday at home. It was miraculous how my pain has disappeared. He has studied with John Barnes who developed this amazing technique No gimmicks, no injections, no machines, just his hands stretching you out. I only pay my copay. Surely, I go for my appointment and they have a physical therapist meet me. Very confused, I tell the physical therapist immediately before he even begins any evaluation that I am here for the chiropractor (an alignment) and a massage. He said that's a separate visit. I told him no, I am use to having all done on the same visit. He told me he'll go check and he'll be right back. He comes back and tells me that he'll see about getting me in with a massage that day and that we will start our evaluation. I end up getting examined by the physical therapist and then doing physical therapy for 40 minutes. Did I get a massage at the end? No. He said there were no masseuse available. So he ran a massage gun over my body. Very annoyed and not coming back, they then had the audacity to ask me for $100. I told them once again that we already clarified this on the phone and my copay is XX. She said she'll just charge me what I say and if there's a difference it'll come to me in the mail. After searching several options online, I chose Atlantic Therapy because its website resonated with me. At my first visit, Dr. Krystal Schoch (the owner) conducted an intake interview to assess my situation. I was immediately impressed with her, and the interview itself. After about 40 minutes, Krystal introduced me to Nancy (my primary PT). Nancy conducted a short PT session with me immediately following the intake interview. Nancy was gentle, but firm and it was evident she knew exactly what was needed to alleviate my arm pain. Not only did my pain go away completely because of my PT experience at Atlantic Therapy, but surprisingly I actually enjoyed the experience. For the most part, I was doing exercises overseen and helped by Nancy in a spacious open room with other patients. What I found particularly positive was the friendliness of the staff and camaraderie that developed between the patients, even though we were all there for a variety of health concerns. It was sort of magical to me. (Many years ago I was in PT and it was a rather cold, matter of fact experience.) When you go to Atlantic Therapy, you're immediately welcomed by Madalena at the front desk and always treated like a member of a unique club.
