Her playing was flawless, and she was very adaptable to the situation: She played before the ceremony, during the ceremony, and during cocktail hour and dinner. I had a HUGE wedding party, and she played Claire de Lune beautifully, seamlessly adding some fluff where needed so that I could walk out to the part I specifically wanted. I love her organized teaching system; she provides enough structure to give you a path to follow while leaving plenty of room to be intuitive. I was lucky to meet Virginia just before the pandemic hit, so I had a few sessions in person at her studio in Wimberley. Since then we've worked through Zoom and it's been great. Virginia introduced me to the 'Original Sound' setting in Zoom, and with that set our virtual sessions are just as productive as being in the same room. Of course, nothing beats the vibe of being live in person, and I can't wait to get back there, but in the meantime I'm able to use this time to do the work I need to do.
