If you love having your breakfast sprinkle with a creative dust, then head over to White Mojo…read more Where the food and beverages takes a very interesting direction, offering a unique brunch menu alongside hand-roasted speciality coffee. I was excited to finally try this place as I have been in love with their catchy name, social-media-friendly food, minimalistic design and lovely interior. We came here on a non-busy weekday, got seated immediately and ordered: * Signature Croissant Burger: First of all, presentation was immaculate and taste-wise it was just as perfect. It consists of crispy soft shell crab, chipotle mayo, smoked eel, chorizo crumbs, fried egg sandwiched in between buttery croissant. So delicious, flavor-wise and texture-wise was spot on...This made my palate dance. * Green Tea Matcha: The matcha latte arrived in a cute latte art presentation, but taste-wise it was common. The milk was too watered down for my liking, and there is just a very subtle hint of bitterness from the Matcha. * Black Latte w/ Bonsoy (Vegan): The black sesame latte caught my eyes and it performs a bit better than the Matcha. Unique tasting, although I find myself missing the sweetness and the nutty, creamy intensity that usually comes from black sesame. But plus point for creativity. Overall, White Mojo is such a breath of fresh air among Melbourne's cafe scene. Their pricing may be a little on the high side, with my meal plus 2 cups of lattes costing around $37, but the entire experience is certainly worth the price. I will most definitely be back and recommending this to you.

3.8. Nice space, nice food, nice service. A winning combo…read more Good menu with an impressive range of choices. I chose the breakfast brunch platter. It had salmon tartare with avocado served on what was called a potato rosti but was in fact more of a croquette. Add to that a poached egg and caviar. The dish was slightly under seasoned but was still very nice. My partner has the roast smashed pumpkin served on toast with one poached egg. They enjoyed it too. The decor here is very smart. The staff here are terrific as well. The coffee to finish was excellent as well. Compliments to the barista. Good place. They're on top of things here.

Summary: Clearly one of the best breakfast and brunch places in Melbourne. Super classy. Lovely…read morespace with terrific inside and outside areas. Good menu here with excellent healthy and not so healthy dishes available depending on your inclination. Superior coffee served here as well. Great place. Highly recommended. Review The class starts here at the front door. Wait til you see it. It's amazing. It leads to a stunning space inside. The space has high ceilings and stark white walls. There's beautiful greenery throughout the cafe with a number of oversized hanging baskets with cascading philodendrons. It's a lovely look and it doesn't stop there. There's a wonderful courtyard out the back as well. It was a stunning spot on a sunny day like today. There's several nice areas out there. The one I'd go for would be on the side bench with a view through to the adjacent park. It looked amazing. I started today with a silky long black. They serve mighty coffee here. Superior beans are used and the brew is expertly made. We started our meal with cauliflower fries which were simply amazing. They were piping hot with a lovely peppery flavour that we both really enjoyed. I love cauliflower but would never have believed it could taste this good. The fries were incredible. We shared two main dishes. Both were excellent and both were large. The first was a pumpkin salad with kale. It's a great dish for sharing. The pumpkin is creamy and superbly cooked. The dish includes finely chopped kale, chopped almonds, avocado and sesame seeds among other things. We loved it. It's very tasty with great textures. Similarly, the southern fried chicken bao is a cracking dish. The chicken is gorgeous. It's so tender and clearly good quality meat. Add lovely pickled cabbage, sriracha aoli and chilli and lime cashews wrapped in a thrillingly soft bao and you've got a real winning dish. It was fantastic. My partner finished with a flat white which had some very cute coffee art. Like me, she declared the coffee to be superb. We were so impressed with Fourth Chapter. As I said in the summary above, this is clearly up there with the very best breakfast and brunch places in Melbourne. Our sincere thanks to Costa for the kind invitation to dine here today. Our thanks too to his excellent staff.

The ornate white front door can tell a story of its own, having remained through at least the last…read morethree tenancies, however the star of this story is owner Sarah Jane Whitfield and her fourth cafe. In partnership with her chef sister Jessica, Fourth Chapter has begun. Upon passing through the door there is an immediate feeling of home, but not your home, someone else's grand home that you wish you had. The high ceiling, white painted walls, light timber furnishings and an array of hanging basket plants provide a bright, clean atmosphere with a light touch of modernism. There is also an element of colour theming with yellow and white cups and plates. Seating is limited, which adds to the cosy vibe, with a handful of small tables, front window bar seating and a large group table in the middle. A small courtyard out the back provides some more small tables and a bench overlooking the neighbouring Victoria Gardens. The food menu is extensive with all day breakfast and lunch after 11am. There is a balanced mix of both healthy and slightly less healthy, treaty choices with a number of vegetarian, vegan, dairy free and gluten free options. Highlights include the acai bowl with optional whey protein, smashed avocado with pesto and saganaki, beetroot and cheddar waffles, sweet potato nachos, southern fried chicken baos and pulled beef brisket cheeseburger. The southern fried chicken baos with pickled cabbage and sriracha aioli are simple perfection with a well balanced mix of crunch, tang and spice. Coffee is by Niccolo with a blend and single origin available with soy, almond or coconut milk. Golden, matcha and Prana Chai lattes are also on offer. Tea is a selection from Mayde along with a range of smoothies and kombucha. For something different and artistic, there is the Sisko hot chocolate - a sphere of chocolate that melts as you pour hot chocolate over it to reveal a marshmallow inside. Fourth Chapter is off to a strong start and is one to watch as the story continues to be written.

It's located in the bottom of an apartment…read morebuilding and doesn't have much competition, but even if it did Baba Sus could probably blow them out of the water. I generally like the food here, it's like an Asian fusion coffee place. The Vietnamese coffee was really tasty with the condensed milk, but we were sitting outside and the table wasn't flat on the sidewalk so the strainer kept just spilling coffee onto my saucer. Oh well. The CLT (charsiu, LT) had a lot of flavor but proportionally I think the bread was a bit too much relative to the filling. The Inside Out was SUPER fun to eat (scotch eggs with the pork/cabbage filling that you get in bao as the sausage meat, with smashed peas on toast). We also split an egg waffle, and the waffles were pretty good, but not really Hong Kong style (which are crispy), as these ones are covered in custard, icecream and berry compote so they do soften considerably. I did find it really weird that you couldn't modify ANY of the dishes. We asked for the icecream for the egg waffles to be served on the side (so we'd still get it) and were told we couldn't get that; it HAD to come on the waffles. What? We had to explain that one of the people in our party was actually lactose intolerant but really wanted to try their egg waffles, before our server even checked with the kitchen if that was possible. When it was, that was fine, but I just found it a bit weird that their "no substitutions" rule was so rigid. Service was really good, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The coffees are decent here as well. There's some street parking in the area.

The Californian superfood salad is my pick of the current lunch menu. All the salads are pretty delicious, but the heirloom tomato, grilled corn, goji berry, salted ricotta, wild rice and quinoa combination is pretty darn special. They also do a cracking smashed avocado, another measure of a good Melbourne brunch. Staff are cool, pretty much anything goes and coffee is always excellent. And check the specials board!

Expectations where set high , with a half hour wait given to us at the door (which in reality we had a table in like 10mins) and then told 45mins for food to come which came 20mins of us being at our table! (Such a Melbourne thing to do, create demand) I started with a coffee, and this was a great tasting coffee. we then ordered the waffles as my sweet tooth took over me! But wow what a decision I made! This waffle with peanut brittle and peanut sort of moose was such a delight! The interior of this place was spectacular, we sat at the back of the cafe in the outdoor section, and on a nice summer day this was beautiful! A must try for the cafe seekers, as food was sensational and coffee was up there! Glad to have visited and been recommended such a place and will defiantly return :)
