Was very busy on a Sunday morning but we were lucky to get some seats right away. Got myself a latte and it was good. Service was a bit if a miss though as they got the soy latte of my sister wrong, but they were fast in replacing it. My brother in law and sister always get their coffee here because it's really good. Wouldnt hesitate to go back.

Don't be discouraged if these guys are busy. The friendly staff are quick to turn around orders weather you're taking away or sitting down and watching the world go past. I always find the coffee to be consistent, so I keep coming back :)

Padre is Perfection. As you stroll through the South Melbourne Market, spending all your money on delicious fresh produce and bits and bots for your home, save a few dollars for the best coffee you'll have all week. If you don't have time to wait, just grab a takeaway and keep wandering, but if you can, take the time to sit and contemplate life amidst the heart of all the market action. The baristas are busy busy, but always friendly and extremely knowledgeable about their beans. Try the Daddy's Girl blend with your latte. Then go and buy some freshly shucked oysters from the nearby seafood stands! Or some macaroons! Or some cheese! Or fresh dip! The options are endless. Perfection.

I used to live south side and Padre was one of my favourite Sunday afternoon spots. I'd sit out in the 'VIP' section in the alleyway with a long mac and ponder the meaning of life. With beans roasted at the East Brunswick Project outlet, Padre do a pretty good (consistent) coffee and serve them up in beautiful ceramics made by Karen Ho. There's always some single origins to try, Larsen and Thompson teas, juices and a couple of sweet things in the counter cabinet. You can swing past and pick up coffee equipment and beans, or just make a pit stop before you battle the crowds at South Melbourne market.

What a great little coffee shop. The coffee is excellent, the service is friendly and they have yummy little pastries. On top of that you get to sit in the middle of a vibrant market and watch all the people go by. Great way to spend a weekend morning, I highly recommend it.

South Melbourne market has limited good coffee options so this is your go to for a hit of the bean, on the fly. Service: 8/10 Ambience 4/10 (better for takeaway) Coffee 9/10 There are cakes and sweets on display but let's be real, there's way better places to get that kind stuff from around here!

Amazing place for coffee. Seems to be quite busy all the time as they have a loyal following.

Busy cafe, popular coffee. Great place to catch up with people. Check out the pastry counter and make sure you grab one with your coffee.

Little Rogue speaks for itself. Honestly they don't need my review. All you need to do is look at…read morethe line out the door and down the alleyway from the time they open and you know they're doing coffee right. I had to try them with all the rave reviews, especially in my journey to find the best of the best of the Melbourne coffee scene. It's harder than it sounds considering any coffee in Melbourne is already pretty top tier in comparison to anywhere else. Little Rogue deserves the line out the door and rave reviews. Not only is it in the top of the top for coffee I've had in Melbourne...or anywhere...they're also just really cool people. Not a coffee snob in sight. Just down to earth smiles, friendly even at the crack of dawn, and happy to serve you some of the best coffee you'll ever have. Seriously. If Australia, or Melbourne, isn't on your bucket list, it needs to be if only to have the firsthand experience of the coffee everyone talks about. Like so many Melbourne hotspots, Little Rogue is unmarked. No signage. If you know you know type of place. You wouldn't know it's there except for the line out the door that gives them away. Just across the alley and up a few steps is a bakery that's also getting a pretty good rap. Make it a whole trip to start your morning right. You won't be disappointed. PS... If you're at any of the iconic coffee hotspots in Melbourne and you really love your espresso, ask for the (Melbourne) Magic. Just the 'Magic' for the locals. You're welcome.
