Such a cute, fun place! I've been to places similar to this before but I love how cozy this one feels. The pottery pieces are probably standard for what most places would charge. Each has the prices labeled on the bottom. You choose one, take a seat, choose your paints, and then spend several hours absorbed into art! It takes awhile because you have to do multiple layers of paint to make the colors show up properly. This place is neat because it's connected to a little cafe. They have an iPad at the connecting doorway so you can order drinks or snacks delivered while you work. We didn't know about that so we didn't do much with it this time but we definitely would in the future! read more

Come to PicassoZ to channel your inner picasso! (or Van Gogh, as is my preference) Pottery painting is a really enjoyable activity that's pretty appropriate for most ages. I've even seen parents come in, paint their kids' hand and then print it on the ceramic which is a super cute idea. There are so many pottery varieties to choose from you need like 5-10 minutes just to walk around and gauge options. The prices should be written on the bottom of each piece. It's not cheap to go to any pottery painting place so keep that in mind- once you pick out the piece and paint it how you want, they glaze and fire it for you so you're paying for the whole service beyond just painting. You can also create a mosaic which is a fun change up if you don't want to paint- it's also much more forgiving if art isn't a higher up skill of yours. They give you instructions to take home on how to apply the grout too which is helpful. The workers have always been really nice. They now have an upstairs area too, so even if it seems busy in the main part there's other space. And, they share a building with Tea Largo so many people get an açaí bowl or boba to enjoy while they paint. I like to stop at Pour Bear Coffee for some caffeine to bring along. PicassoZ really is as fun as its name- it's colorful and good and inviting, and seeing the finishing product of your ceramic may be the best part! read more

We went during spring break and the place was packed. There is a second floor which was more quiet. There are a lot of options to choose from. Ranging from animal figure, planter, room decor, piggy banks, labubu and more. Prices varied base on selection and size of item as well. The staff were answering questions as needed. You must do at least 3 coat of paint and they advise pick up is within a week. My items were ready in 5 days. read more

The staff is knowledgeable about their selection, process and art! Pricing seems high, but you are paying for already completed pottery, just show up and paint! Their calendar of events always look fun. We attended a Clay making pumpkin trinket class where we molded the clay into the shape we preferred and painted the dish. I was a walk-in and was greeted warmly when I arrived. I was grateful to have walked in. I chose to design and paint a mug, as a remembrance for the loss of my three siblings. The music that came through the speakers, mixed with the chatter of those working on their own masterpieces, along with the scents of food and hot beverages in the connected cafe, made me feel comfortable and calm. We stopped at Tealargo and then hopped over here. Brilliant to have them together! My youngest daughter painted an elephant mug and my older daughter and I painted turtle boxes. It would be nice if there were monkey mugs since my older daughter loved monkeys. We ended up here for hours eating our açaí bowls and painting our stuff and had lots of fun! Hopefully we can stop by next time we visit our family down in Florida. read more

The staff is always so friendly, very knowledgeable and helpful. They have a huge selection of items to paint and it does get changed out. I really like places like this - we stopped by with me, my husband, and our 2.5 yr old daughter. I painted a small little dragon, and my daughter picked up a unicorn. She had a great time painting her piece (I picked the colors in advance so they would match!), and so did I! It takes about a week to get the pieces, so I had to have someone else pick them up since I'm not local. It is definitely an art imaging the colors after they are fired together. I could see us coming here every trip to to Lakeland and making it a little tradition :) read more

We've been to Picasso's a few times and we always enjoy ourselves. If you're there for pottery painting, there are lots of pieces to choose from. There's a ton of color choices to use for your glaze and the staff there are great about explaining which textures will work best for the effect you want in your piece. All of the supplies are there for you; brushes, water bowls, texturing tools, etc. It's really a cute place. They also offer other types of art working like mosaics. And there's a separate area where you can hold parties for birthdays or whatever. Also, directly adjacent and accessed from the studio is Tea Largo; a cute little bistro type joint for snacks and beverages. The only complaint I have is the cost. If you're popping in to paint a piece yourself, it's not so bad. You can find very small pieces for around $10-15 but the cost quickly goes up from there. So, if it's like a family outing, it's going to add up quickly. We tend to budget $20 or less per person and that really limits the choices. While I do realize the cost covers the supplies, the staff time for firing the items, time in the studio as well as the piece itself, compared to several others this is the highest cost pottery painting studio I've ever been in. It's not something we'd do every day but it is a fun way to spend a couple hours getting creative and making something unique. read more

It appears this store changed its name's spelling and ditched its old reviews. We went recently, our first with its move to the south side of Tea Largo, twice when it was on the north side of this beverage and acai bowl store. The young redheaded girl working was not particularly friendly or talkative. We felt ignored and learned by what she told others. We'd hoped for a slow quiet morning but the place filled quickly with mothers & loud/active young ones and loud music. Might be nice to have a "no kids" day or afternoon for older patrons to enjoy. They have somewhat of a calendar so you might avoid homeschool groups & clubs but you can't predict walk-ins. They have a large selection of unfinished clay pieces to paint. The cheapest we found was $20, including piece, paint, firing. We got our own paints off the shelves and had very worn and stiff brushes on the table. They could use better cleaning or more new brushes. We would've appreciated more guidance. They called in about 5 days that our pieces were ready for pick--up. One of ours came with a large mark on it like someone brushed paint up against before firingbut we didn't complain. We rated it only okay and likely won't return--due to the lack of personality/helpful assistance by the employee, crowded room, dirty brushes. We were happy with our finished pieces over all. read more

There were ample pieces to choose from at various price points. There are ample paint supplies available too. They have plenty of seating. I painted two pieces. I had so much fun at PicassoZ! It is a bit overwhelming at first trying to pick a pottery piece that isn't over $30. I eventually found an owl bank for $21 to paint. The $21 included the owl, painting supply, and the oven process. Staff-The staff was very friendly. It would be nice if there was maybe two employees at the counter. I had to wait a while for another customer to finish asking a bunch of questions. Prices-The mosaics are pretty expensive for the size of them. The pottery is not too bad for what it includes. However adding little accessories to the pottery is VERY expensive. For example a tiny lady bug to put on top of like a pot was $7.00?!! Some of the smaller items are very expensive. Drawing words-The tiny little word pens were harder to use than expected. My friend and I both had to redo the words we wrote. The paint was runny and coming out far too fast. Clean-For being a painting place the store is very clean! The staff was excellent about picking up paint brushes and keeping the store well maintained. I got the call to pickup my owl 4 days later! Wishes: I wished there were more discounted pottery options. I would have liked to have seen more $15.00 options. It would have been nice if the staff had been a bit more intentional on explaining how the store works. I had to walk up to the counter several times asking questions. There isn't much direction on what to do, when to pay, or how cleanup works. I think maybe they were a bit understaff when we went as the girl who helped us was friendly. However would have ideally liked clear instruction as soon as we walked in. Overall great experience! I would suggest going here with friends, family and for a date night! read more

I love supporting local businesses and this was a fun date creating mosaic pieces. The studio is charming with an adjoining shop for drinks and snacks. Tons of mosaic materials and embellishments. I love creating art but am by NO means an artist so it took awhile to figure out a game plan for what i wanted to create. I was a little daunted with having to self-grout 24 hours later. Super pleased with the end product and will most certainly be back. read more

Me and my boyfriend went for the first time ever yesterday. When we got there the lady that greeted us (the one with like blue hair) was kind of rude to us. We told her that it was our first time and that we didn't know what we were doing or how it worked, and her response to that was: "pick what you want to paint and I'll be there later" .. She never came back. Luckily, Sarah saw us standing there not knowing what to do, and she happily explained to us how everything worked. We ended up having a good time and will be coming back, but I would really appreciate to be greeted by nicer staff since just that almost ruined our experience. read more

Long story short, I went with a few girlfriends from work, we thought it would be fun. However, it turned into a nightmare. They are beyond unorganized, they have teenie boppers running it, the manager is the furthest thing from personable. She KNEW they screwed up and instead of apologizing, gave me attitude and when I stated I wanted a refund, she wanted to send my refund in cash thru the mail. I ended up having to drive 45 minutes a third time back there because of their mess. Did I mention the manager didn't even apologize once for their short comings? My co workers also got refunds for unsatisfactory service on EVERY LEVEL. We will NEVER go back. read more

I have been to the other location, everyone use to be friendly and explain how to do it and what is to be expected. I walked in tonight asking for some instructions and they were rude as if I was dumb. During the painting we asked for help and no one was available. They were rude and non helpful. I simply asked if I should write my name on my painting so he'll know it's mine. A lady made a point that she can assure me mine was different than others and gave me a nasty look. read more
