The staff is knowledgeable about their selection, process and art! Pricing seems high, but you are paying for already completed pottery, just show up and paint! Their calendar of events always look fun. We attended a Clay making pumpkin trinket class where we molded the clay into the shape we preferred and painted the dish. Attached a before glazing photo!

We stopped at Tealargo and then hopped over here. Brilliant to have them together! My youngest daughter painted an elephant mug and my older daughter and I painted turtle boxes. It would be nice if there were monkey mugs since my older daughter loved monkeys. We ended up here for hours eating our açaí bowls and painting our stuff and had lots of fun! Hopefully we can stop by next time we visit our family down in Florida.

Made in pottery class and then painted a week later

I have gone numerous times over the years and will continue! Great mommy daughter bonding time. I did a pottery class for my first one and in love! The staff is always so friendly, very knowledgeable and helpful. They have a huge selection of items to paint and it does get changed out. My kid even attended a bday party in the loft, I will be having one for her as well!

I really like places like this - we stopped by with me, my husband, and our 2.5 yr old daughter. I painted a small little dragon, and my daughter picked up a unicorn. She had a great time painting her piece (I picked the colors in advance so they would match!), and so did I! It takes about a week to get the pieces, so I had to have someone else pick them up since I'm not local. It is definitely an art imaging the colors after they are fired together. I could see us coming here every trip to to Lakeland and making it a little tradition :)

I had so much fun at PicassoZ! It is a bit overwhelming at first trying to pick a pottery piece that isn't over $30. I eventually found an owl bank for $21 to paint. The $21 included the owl, painting supply, and the oven process. Staff-The staff was very friendly. It would be nice if there was maybe two employees at the counter. I had to wait a while for another customer to finish asking a bunch of questions. Prices-The mosaics are pretty expensive for the size of them. The pottery is not too bad for what it includes. However adding little accessories to the pottery is VERY expensive. For example a tiny lady bug to put on top of like a pot was $7.00?!! Some of the smaller items are very expensive. Drawing words-The tiny little word pens were harder to use than expected. My friend and I both had to redo the words we wrote. The paint was runny and coming out far too fast. Clean-For being a painting place the store is very clean! The staff was excellent about picking up paint brushes and keeping the store well maintained. I got the call to pickup my owl 4 days later! Wishes: I wished there were more discounted pottery options. I would have liked to have seen more $15.00 options. It would have been nice if the staff had been a bit more intentional on explaining how the store works. I had to walk up to the counter several times asking questions. There isn't much direction on what to do, when to pay, or how cleanup works. I think maybe they were a bit understaff when we went as the girl who helped us was friendly. However would have ideally liked clear instruction as soon as we walked in. Overall great experience! I would suggest going here with friends, family and for a date night!

I love supporting local businesses and this was a fun date creating mosaic pieces. The studio is charming with an adjoining shop for drinks and snacks. Tons of mosaic materials and embellishments. I love creating art but am by NO means an artist so it took awhile to figure out a game plan for what i wanted to create. I was a little daunted with having to self-grout 24 hours later. Super pleased with the end product and will most certainly be back.

I was pleased with the final product…read more They have a wide array of tiles and pieces, provide the glue, the item to receive the tile pieces and good space to work (little heat on cold days). It's nice it's next to a tea store so you can sip while you work. I thought I'd be finished in an hour but we were there over 3. Initially I thought the prices were high, starting at about $32 for smaller sized things, but after seeing the work, time and tiles involved, it's more than fair. I would have liked for it to be staffed with a helpful person with tiling experience, but the clerk from Picasso's ceramic painting café ran back and forth checking on us and couldn't have been nicer. We were largely on our own, after a brief demo on how to cut tiles. (Needy people and children will perhaps not like the set-up/independence required.) They send you home with a bag of grout to finish it 24 hours after the glue sets. Inventory for tile boards was scant. The finished models showed you what finished products looked like but were not available to make. They had some mosaics on Lucite and had an area for making candles. It was a good first experience. I love the whole artist enclave vibe of the strip of stores here.

Our instructor Abigail was awesome- very high energy and kind and easy to follow along with. I've taken many painting classes before this and already knew what I was doing so I didn't need as much help, but it was new for most of my coworkers so Abigail was super amazing assisting them when needed or giving them guidance on what to do next. We chose "Broccoli" the cat, and you have the option to follow along with the instructor and paint your canvas exactly like the demo or go your own route- I chose to make mine look like my own sweet kitty so it's fun to have some creative freedom if you so choose. They host a lot of different events here, even a "paint your pet" night. After you come and paint something, if you want something fixed, adjusted or help with it you can come in any saturday morning and the artists will help you adjust your painting for free! Normally, this is a paint & sip place as well so you can bring a bottle of wine or your drink (alcoholic or NA) of choice to sip while you paint which is fun too. Definitely recommend this for a date night, girls night, coming with family or even to one of the events by yourself, it's a great way to wind down and let your inner creative come out!

The establishment is well set up and very cute items are present BUT the man was very brash and rude from the start. Leaving the atmosphere harsh and unwelcoming. He preceded to jump in and try to sell me various items without even asking how I was for the day. His sales ability are horrible. I inquired about a Russian plate, that I knew was a decal, only because he went on and on about how everything was hand made. Then he tried to "educate" me on decals on porcelain as if I were an idiot. I wanted to smack him. HE then showed me a hand painted piece that has a magnolia on the trinket box. A single flower that he again attempted to "educate" me on the matter. Lying and telling me how hard it is to master the skill so it took 7 people to create it! Yes porcelain is a very difficult medium and is a fine art that I know. But it does not require 7 people to complete a single flower or a huge painting at that! I said "really?" He then tried to sell me on the small item for $1,200 and to tell me how lucky he is because in acquired the piece due to being in business for 36 years, which I seriously doubt he would had lasted that long! I paint on porcelain and know many people that do. This one was not in any shape or form wroth 1200. Maybe 75-100 even with the gold! and second off it doesn't take 7 people. I can do it myself the entire thing and copy it quite well. This man is so insulting it took everything I had to just walk out! I would not recommend his shop or anything in it!
