I also got the opportunity to get to know some wonderful long term residents that truly look after one another, there is a great sense of community there. A friend that lives here, recently showed me an eviction notice that she received EIGHT DAYS AFTER her rent had ALREADY been paid. This is not the first time this has occurred. It seems that every time there is new staff in the office these types of notices are sent out. The tenant pays their rent on time, early even, and is still issued an eviction notice? I understand that mistakes happen when people are new to an office environment, regardless this has happened over and over again with each new employee. It's insulting and disturbing that property management would allow their tenets to be threatened with eviction AFTER they've paid their rent on time. If it had been just the one time that would be understandable, but every time there's a new employee? SIX times this has happened! Secondly, the wording on the eviction notice does not give proper time frames for a legal "notice to quit" in the state of North Carolina. Tenant must be given ten days to pay rent or vacate premises and Austin Creek's notice only gives six days from the date on the letter. If you're going to threaten someone make sure your paperwork is correct and legal. ATTENTION OFFICE: Rent was ALREADY paid! This is paid via government allotment! The money comes out automatically! EARLY! Thirdly, their dumpsters are smelly and surrounded with trash that the tenants have thrown on the ground. Isn't there a maintenance crew??
