Non speaking English crew. Couldn't find property markers and dug up my plants, made holes everywhere and left undone. Couldn't find marker in front. Threw our child's roller coaster and dug up our sprinkler than pulling it to the neighbors side. Owner admitted they srat work without permit. read more

I paid in full for removal of an old leaning, rotten fence to be replaced with a new fence and two gates. I have video and photos of the work as it was done and before any storms. It began to lean very quickly and the gate would not function properly. Due to all of this there is no way it would pass inspection. Steve Lamour, the owner, wrote to me that they would come out and straighten the fence and cement the gate, for no charge. I had even gotten a quote from them to cement the posts, (I said ok, schedule it) but he emailed they would not recommend cementing all the posts and that he would come do the straightening and cement the gate. After this I was told I would be contacted when they would be out to do the work. I waited a few weeks and heard nothing. I have called and emailed them repeatedly asking for a date, now for months. I have no choice but to have the work completed by another company and take them to small claims court. read more

DO NOT RECOMMEND!! I questioned why most of the posts were 8 and 9 ft. apart., normally 4-6 ft. range. I told him the fence will lean shortly, not enough support!! He responded there are no codes in Wellington or Palm Beach county supporting my complaint. The fence started leaning in less than a year. It gets even better, my husband is taking it upon himself to fix the lean, and guess what, the guys did not even pour concrete around these huge posts. The entire fence will be collapsing. Recently had a fence installed by Steve and his team, after a friend recommended them, and I am completely satisfied. The installation was reasonably priced, completed in a timely manner and my picket fence is beautiful! read more

Pick-it Fence installed a new six-foot privacy fence for us in September using eight-foot posts. This resulted in posts being sunk only two feet - and in many cases less - in the sandy ground without concrete. The fence has been flimsy and prone to leaning Since day one. The wood slats are warping throughout. All of the door latches have also broken, both due to poor quality components as well as careless installation. This fence, not more than four months old, looks and functions terribly. We did have an on-site meeting with Steve, the owner, who acknowledged these issues as well as other aesthetic fixes that needed to be addressed. He assured us that he would take care of them. Since this meeting in September we have not been able to get a response from Steve. Our repeated phone calls and emails per the past three months have been ignored and at this point we can only assume that they have no intention of fixing the issues with the new fence (however we would still prefer that they do so). We will be seeking a resolution either way. How we go about that is as of yet undetermined. I would not recommend Pick-it Fence at this point. read more

Do not use this company. The owner, Steven Lamour is a sneaky liar. In June 2018, my neighbor and I chipped in to put a fence between our properties. My neighbor also had additional fencing and a gate put on the front of their house. We gave Steven a deposit. On the day his workers showed up, it was starting to rain. They didn't bother to check the weather. They asked if they could leave all the fencing on the grass so they wouldn't have to bring their trailer again. My neighbor consented to this, since it was her grass. They didn't show up for days. My neighbor and I were calling the office number and Steven's cell number to complain. The woman at the office kept putting us off, and Steven never answered his cell phone again. By the time they came back about 4 days later, the grass died from all the weight of the fencing material - a very large area. When the workers finally came back, my neighbor could not be home that day. I told my neighbor I would stay home to watch the workers. They arrived having no shovels or a ladder. I had to borrow a shovel from a neighbor, and had to give them my ladder, which they got filthy with concrete and dirt. As they were finishing I saw one of the workers put one of their advertising signs on my neighbor's fence. It looked ugly, but the worker did it so fast I didn't have time to think about it. When my neighbor came home, she was furious about that sign. She told me she would not be paying her balance of the bill until a new gate was installed. The sign was put up with 4 large screws and left 4 holes. Steven eventually replaced the gate, not wanting to lose the over $2,000 balance from her. In March 2019, my landscaper damaged my gate with his mower, and agreed to pay for a new gate. I called their office and Steven came to my house to give me an estimate. I agreed to the price. I reminded him of the issue we had with the sign on my neighbor's gate. He acted like he didn't care, telling me he just used the gate for someone else that didn't care about his sign. He calls me over a week later to tell me that his workers are behind schedule and he will be coming to install the gate himself. I told him I had a doctor's appointment at 11AM, just when he wanted to come. I told him if I wasn't home to knock on my door and my wife would give him the check. I also told him to leave the old gate there, and NOT to put any signs up. He agreed. That was my big mistake - trusting a contractor to do a job without me present to supervise him. When I got home he was gone, and guess what ? He drilled 2 holes and put his advertising sign up on the area next to the gate ! Not only that, the sign was crooked ! Since this area was on the top rail and the posts are cemented into the ground with cement in the posts, it would be major surgery and very expensive to replace that top rail. This lowlife insisted on what he thought would be free advertising, after I specifically told him not to put up any signs. If I was home and saw he did that, he would have never gotten his check. That's what you get for trusting a contractor. Steven is a game playing con artist. I called him to let him have it. First he tells me that it must have been a misunderstanding, he thought I didn't want it on the gate. Then after I was yelling at him that I don't want his sign on the gate, and that I now have 2 holes in my gate, he tells me I should get some chalking and fill the holes myself ! Then he gives me this lame excuse telling me that they have to put up those signs ! He's the owner, he makes up his own rules ! No body orders him to do this, he does it for free advertising ! He got off the phone, with my check, telling me to try to cover up the holes. Do not use this company or deal with Steven Lamour. read more
