I have contracted with pick n pull to come and buy a car from my lot. the car has not run in a few years, likely just needs a new battery and whatever love u need to give to cars that sat for a while. it has dangerous air bags that need recall as well decided to sell it for scrap for saftey im glad a business like this excists that can come take unwanted,potentially dangerous cars away, and provide a payout. I needed the car removed, the basically providing free towing and small compensation for the metals/parts. overall id say im grateful , albeit my apointment is next week so im still in the process read more

I had contacted them about picking up my car. They gave me a quote, and told me "Tuesday between 12pm-4pm we will come pick it up" so I took off work for that time frame. They asked for a front and back photo of the car AND title. I sent it. They never replied after that. I called multiple times and waited until 5 pm and now it's 7 pm and still heard nothing back. So now I not only didn't get the money for my car, I also lost money taking off work by relying on this "company" that they would be professional and actually get the job done. This business has turned into a ridiculous joke of a company their prices are $10 lower than brand new and the customer service there is none it's a bunch of ingratiate that get their rocks off by strong arming more money out of people. it is by far the worst place and unfortunately they're too big for anybody to really do anything about so just don't go there. The whole reason people go to the junkyard is because they don't have enough money for brand new parts but now it's to the point where we don't even have money for the parts from the junkyard because the junk yards gotten so greedy and all they care about is profits just absolutely ridiculous. I had not been there in a while. I thought it was funny that the parking lot was not very full. Sign all the BS forms and paid the $3.00 to get into the yard. After hunting down and pulling the trim part for my truck they thought $48 bucks was a good price to charge. I told them that I could order it new with free shipping off of Amazon for $43 bucks. They didn't care, so I walk out and ordered the new part. That is when I remembered why I had not been there for a while, because I ran into the same dilemma with them on a door lock a couple of years ago. The lesson learned! Had my converter stolen right in the parking lot at 3:30 PM. This has been going on there for eleven years witch leads me to believe it is an inside job set up with someone who works there. They know police won't investigate or even come take a report in that community so they keep doing it. I tracked the salvage yard to where the thief's run there stolen items to a salvage yard right up the street. They got there bumper fixed after I posted them all over the net. Pick-n-Pull is a junk yard so don't expect much other than a decent price on parts for a used car. Most of the cars are American, Chevy, GM, Buick, Ford, Dodge, Chrysler, etc. so don't expect to find parts for a European car very often. The website is pretty good and usually accurate in terms of locating a year, make, model and location of a vehicle so check it out before going www.PicknPull.com so you don't waste a trip. Just because the website says there is a vehicle there does not mean it will have the part you need, it's a gamble sometimes but you can save some money over Dealer prices for parts. It costs $2 to get in and you have to sign away all rights in case you hurt yourself which is normal. All vehicles are in the air sitting on rims which makes it easy to get at parts. The junk yard smells of oil and is dirty so dress accordingly and bring your own tools. They purchased another junk yard one exit North of Truman Road so if you don't find the part you need here just ask them for directions to the other one and drive 5 minutes North to check out the other location. There are NO Refunds, if you have a receipt and the part is marked you can exchange a part within a week so be careful you get the right part the first time! read more

Advertised salvage vehicle was not on the lot on Winner Rd in KC, MO. Price listed for the part i needed (dome light assembly) is 50% higher than Midway U-Pull (a major KC metro competitor). Vehicle was not where they said it would be and I spent an hour searching their yard after they said a vehicle is removed after 45 days. This one was advertised as being there only 34 days. While discussing this with a "manager(?}", another customer chimed in that his friend had the same issue looking for a (different) vehicle a couple of days ago. Wasted 3 hours of my time and $5 gas looking for a vehicle at this poor excuse for a salvage yard. ALL of their prices are higher than Midway U-Pull. We're here trying to find a tire, they are completely no help, rude, everybody around here is the manager. It's ridiculous how they have all these workers and everybody is clueless when it comes to cars, but this is a car junk yard, or lot whatever they call it. The purpose of good customer service is helping a customer find whatever they need rather it's your job or not. We been here since they opened at 9am actually got here around 8:30. We ask for help just to tell us what the computer says about our car and they don't know. Very very rude, and no help. Don't go here try a different location. So first I got my quote online and I call the 1-800# posted on the quote that you can print out. I asked her what the process was and she said that they have block times that they come to pick up the cars and I would have to be home during the whole block which would have been 12-4 which I can't afford to take off half a work day to wait around for someone to come pick the car up so I asked her what my other options were and she said I could bring the title and my drivers license in to the Truman location. I told her I work from 8-5 but can sometimes get off around 4:30 and she said that was fine and that I could take my title and drivers license up to the Truman location before 6pm mon-sat. So I go up a couple days later and I got there around 5:30 because I work all the way in overland park and this place is all the way downtown. And my husband and I are just standing in line waiting and at first I didn't mind until my husband pointed out one of the cashiers wasn't doing anything but just standing there talking. So finally after about 10 minutes she decides to come up and address us and asked us what we needed so we told her we were there to sell a car. And she said that office closed at 4:30 and I told her we were told we could come up before 6 with the title and my drivers license to sell the car. So she said we could go wait at the desk. So we go wait for another 5 minutes or so and the employee that worked at that desk walked in and immediately was like we closed at 4:30 and I was like I understand but when we called the number printed on the quote we were told we could come before 6 with the information and she was like they are in California they don't know anything then she turns around points at the sign and says "this says 4:30pm" so I was like "okay let me find the number we called" then she was like you're selling a car? And we were like yes so she just walks away starts cleaning up her area and continues to ignore us. Then one of the other employees literally makes my husband move so he could mop the area and I didn't notice at first until he started hitting my feet with the mop!! So I moved away and about 10 minutes go by as were waiting for the girl to come back. When she does she takes my title and ID and I told her my new drivers license has my married name on it but I brought my old one that has the same picture, drivers license number, and maiden name which is printed on the title and she says that we now have to bring our marriage certificate up. It was downright a horrible experience and I would definitely recommend just using Craigslist. It was definitely not worth wasting our time for $145.00. Not a very happy camper with these guys. Pulled a part, found out it wasn't the right one, went back a week later for credit and they refused it because the lady behind the counter marked it with the wrong marker. Had my receipt showing my purchase on the date, nothing on the receipt indicates anything about the market color. Politely argued with the a person who identified himself as the "store manager". Was given me 3 generic reason's why he wouldn't refund. 1. If I made an exception I would have to make it for everyone. (this happens alot?) 2. We've been bought out by a new company (what does it matter to me?) 3. That's our policy (Your policy not to correct any mistakes?). On my way out he tried to insult me with insincere kindness... guess I got to him. Not a very good "store manager". Probably just a peon who was pretending and didn't have the power to do refunds. The main company has no easy way of contacting them for complaints, no email, only a phone number. Left messages and comments on facebook page. Company deleted facebook post and user's ability to post complaints. Terrible way of treating customers.... I will only use them if I have to. read more

The pick and pull in San Antonio .Tx.Is one of the best place to go to for affordable used parts..The Autozone wanted 142.99 for a remanufactured Alternator for my 2001 Hyundai Elantra..I went to pick and pull found the part in a 2003 Elantra ..Pulled the Alternator out bought it for $20.I took the old Alternator back for a core charge of about $8...So in general i paid about$12 ..My Elantra is working great with the Alternator...Thank you pick and pull..Ill be going back when i need any other auto parts in San Antonio read more

Horrible service if you plan on selling your car to Pick N Pull. Scheduled pickup for June 16th between 12-4pm. I wasted the entire day because guess what...no one showed up! When I called the 800 number, customer service said my order for pickup was cancelled. Said the tow truck guy tried to call at 9am. I got ONE phone call at 8:50am, my caller ID said "private number". I had no idea that was them calling and I couldn't call back the number if I wanted to and NO MESSAGE WAS LEFT. No one in this world answers "private numbers" come on now. So customer service said I could just take the paperwork down to the shop and then they could pick up the car without me being there. So I did that and dealt with a not so enthusiastic woman who obviously hates her job and was told it would be picked up that next Wednesday, the 20th and the check would be mailed to me. Here it is June 27th and still no check so I call customer service again. They never wrote out a check to be sent to me! What the hell? So you think you could just get my car and not pay me? What kind of scammer shit is this? Now I'm told 3-5 more days before I receive the check. I'll be getting a hold of the BBB too. The lack of communication on their end is beyond ridiculous.
