My project was a simple one. I needed a rail on my front steps for my wife. I contacted these guys through Yelp, and got a return call immediately. They came out the next day to measure, and a week later I had my rail installed. I'm super pleased. The workmanship is very good. It looks better than I expected. The installers were professional, on time, very friendly, and did a great job. I highly recommend Pickle Iron based on my experience, and I would use them again. By the way, they were not my first call. I contacted another company before contacting Pickle. The other company asked me to send pictures of the area with a tape measure in the picture, rather than coming out and measuring themselves. I did that, and they gave me a quote and delivery date. I gave them the order, and followed up with them twice leading up to the day that they were supposed to have installed it. They never showed up. Finally got my railing and gate installed. I left a message to please have Jon (John?) ie grandson/owner call me. Have not yet heard back. The gate looks fine but the handle rubs against the iron and is leaving unsightly marks. I would very much appreciate a response. read more

I like the people at Pickle Iron. But the door they installed does not fit good. I called and they came back to correct door but there are still big gaps. Pickle keeps telling me my door is out of square, ok, but they were going to come out and make a template, if is was so out of square, would that have not been corrected by the template? I have huge gaps, that they covered up with foam tape and the hinges are not aligned right. It's a good door, not pleased with fit. read more

This company has been around for years but the grandson who is now running it does not have the integrity of his predecessors. He gave us a quote on a small repair job and three months later he has not shown up to do the work after repetitive calls from us and cancelled appointments by him. When I called to express my disappointment he finally admitted he didn't want to do the work and rudely told me to call someone else. Don't waste your time, call another company! read more
