A Google search implied it could be a serious condition and to get the kitten into a vet asap. I called Phoenix Road Animal Hospital and explained the situation. I was told in a crisp tone, "We don't see non-clients for emergency situations." So... a veterinary clinic with a focus on who's in "the club" instead of "there's an animal that needs help"? This isn't a pet of mine. It's a baby I'm trying to get help for, when it's not even technically mine. People who chose to work in the animal care field who don't care enough to see a kitten?

The staff here was so amazing and caring throughout the whole process. THey let me take my time saying goodby to my Snickers. They made him comfortable and relaxed before he passed in my arms. I can not be more thankful to these wonderful people for the compassion they showed from start to to finish. When I picked up his ashes a week later they were in a nice tin with a blue rose on top. The plasters of his paw prints were a beautiful remembrance of my little side kick. I received a card from the clinic about a week later signed by all the staff which really solidified what I already knew, that Allegan Animal Clinic has the best staff around and really cares about their fur baby families!
