I also like the fact that the courts are indoors, as the name of the place would indicate. There is not much else I like about the Louisville Indoor Racquet Club. The prices have been too high for a long while and keep getting higher. This is particularly true in light of the level of maintenance of the facilities, which is below par. There is also a particular employee who is phenomenally unpleasant to deal with. If you go to the club, you know who I am talking about. The beginner lesson was only $10 for the hour -- a great deal for some exercise and lots of fun.

However, if you don't know their secret handshake, you are going to have a better time in Jonestown on Koolaide Thursday. Got placed on the Championship court game one where all the guys were 5.0's. They knew each other, and I felt like a leper; Step 1 to get better didn't happen. Game 2 same. Game 3 same. So easily the top 15 participants at supposedly 2.5-3.5 was a sham. Ironically, we got there early and shopped the gift shop. The guy in charge knew we were not very experienced, so play hardo and placed me with the 5.0's. Well, he participated too and played with a friend and purposely played horribly. Then 2 games later, against my friend, he easily was a 5.0. Again, the secret handshakes all over again. So I suggest going to the dark web and finding the secret handshake, or go to Tom Sawyer or Pickle and Pong. The elitest hardos and Pickle Dysphoria. All three of us will not be going back.

It has many facilities for athletics. It has something like two baseball fields, a basketball court, and tennis courts. The centerpiece of the park is Terwilliger's Lodge. It's popular to rent for private events. The lodge is usually booked on weekends. In the middle of the week, the park is a lot quieter, so you can enjoy some of the natural features. There's a stream and a few trails. It seems to be the best park in Montgomery for athletics. It has ample room for pickup games. The bathrooms are located near the lodge on the east side.
