Pickleball beginner and really loving it so we've tried to search out indoor courts during cold weather. This one has plenty of courts, at 7pm on a Saturday it was full and luckily we had already made a reservation. I would recommend making one if it's during a busy time as it seems to get crowded. The bar is nice although you can only have food and drinks by the table which makes sense as you don't want to spill on the court. I appreciate that they require vaccinations and support them keeping everyone safe. The fees are moderate, I don't really have anything to compare them to but they're reasonable for a group of 4. The only thing that I want to comment on and I'm not sure if my eyes were just sensitive but the lighting in there is very bright. Like almost can't see the ball if it gets hit up towards the lights, not sure if anyone else shares that opinion though. Fun indoor pickleball courts overall!

Josie is the best, totally not being biased. Pickleball is also fun here but honestly it's all because of Josie.

Great indoor alternative for pickleball but too expensive for both the pickleball and the bar. Will not return. Found a cheaper alternative.

They have also somewhat recently added other options besides beer, but they don't have alcohol. Check out their latest menu update. The food isn't much, just pizza, popcorn, and tinned fish, all of which I think are priced too high, especially the tinned fish -- it's wild. There's a lovely back patio and another covered area behind that for people to sit and chill. There's lots around to do here, such as an oddity shop, Sie Film Center, City Park, other restaurants nearby, and more that I'm forgetting I'm sure.

The interior is dark with cozy bar stools and tables inside for sipping beer. Bruz Beers (a play on the Belgian Bruge) has an extensive menu. I got the bartender Tim's recommendation for my first beer. It was their dubbel, which is a dark abbey style ale. It was very tasty and not overly heavy. I wanted to try one more and am a big fan of sour beers. The grape saison (only available at Colfax location) is tart and fermented with Gewürztraminer wine grapes. It was also very good with the right of sour and not overly sweet. The bar has some snacks for purchase like popcorn and meat sticks. I guess they normally have food trucks offering different types of cuisine. There are bathrooms just outside the taproom shared with R&R head labs and another business. Just ask for the code as they require one for entry. The parking is challenging as the bar is just south of Colfax on York. You can find street parking.

One of the area's best restaurants that had large portions for an affordable price just transformed itself into every other a**hole restaurant in the city. We were regular customers of this place, so we knew the menu, knew the prices, and knew the portions. We usually shared an appetizer and a meal, but after they got rid of the best chili cheese fries in the world (it was always a mountain of fries smothered in red chili and cheese, and served on an iron skillet - but for some unknown reason, they decided to get rid of red chili after decades). So, we were like, let's just each get our own meal, then. We ordered a cheesesteak and a buffalo chicken wrap. We've never seen portions this small *anywhere*, let alone at Hoffbrau. The $17 dollar cheesesteak was served on a HOT DOG BUN. Yes, you heard me right -- a standard, grocery-store-sized hot dog bun!!!! My girlfriend ate the entire thing in like 5 bites. Yes, a cheesesteak! The buffalo wrap was about 1/3 of the size of most other buffalo wraps you'd get at like Applebee's or something. If you're cutting down on chicken, at least stuff the thing with lettuce or something. But this was only slightly bigger than a Taco Bell burrito. I'm just gonna stick with the wrap at Tavern on Blake, it's the same price, but triple the size. I don't understand when places do stuff like this. It's unbelievable. If inflation is hurting the business, either raise prices or reduce portions. Don't freakin' do both!!!! If you're gonna serve an adult a child-sized cheesesteak on a hot dog bun, maybe do it for like $10.99 or $12.99 or something. But if you're gonna charge $17 for a cheesesteak, at least make it a big one. This visit cost us $50 bucks for 2 sandwiches and 2 Bud Lights. And we both left a bit hungry. We just came out of Hoffbrau (one of our all-time favorite places), vowing never to go back. Ps, just because it's Colorado, doesn't mean people should be forced to eat only green chili.
