I'm in town from California on a business trip and was driving to my hotel and noticed a baseball…read morepark named after legendary Dodger's player and coach Tommy Lasorda. Tommy Lasorda was and still is my favorite skipper of all time. He was old school and would throw tantrums at the umpires and opposing players too! His rants are classics. I want to give a shout out to Mike, the assistant director of this facility. I met Mike in the parking lot when I stopped by to check out the facility. Mike explained to me the history of this ballpark and how Tommy was associated. It's also cool to know that Mike Piazza is involved in the activities here. Piazza was a fan favorites during days as a Dodger and also as a Met. Director Mike invited me to walk around the facility even though it's off season. I would love to come back and check out the tournaments that are played here during baseball season.

It is too cold to play baseball in early April, not Lasorda Legacy Park. Just recently back from…read moreFlorida, I found myself watching little league baseball with chilly wind gusting. Seriously, times have changed. When I was coaching, I would have called the game because there were icicles on my nose. Regardless, it has become a popular business and provides the Northerners to compete with the sunbelt states for training young kids to become respectable ball players. From what I read, the 27-acre Lasorda Legacy Park attracts talent from New England and Mid-Atlantic States. The complex characteristics have four ninety-foot base path artificial turf fields and three seventy-foot artificial turf fields. There are high nets throughout the complex to protect bystanders from getting hit by a foul ball. Lasorda Legacy Park's facilities have below grade dugouts which is a great appeal to the players. The bullpens are also connected to the dug outs. In addition, they have warning tracks, P.A. systems, electronic scoreboards, and artificial turf. The complex provides accommodation to its viewers with ballpark seating, concessions, restaurant, and a picnic area. Overall, it is one of the best baseballs complexes I have ever seen on Long Island. It is wonderful that this facility provides young children with an opportunity to play on pristine baseball fields.

Update: Still one of my favorite facilities that I have been…read moreto, the ceiling height is amazing and there's adequate space to do ATP's. The lighting could be better on certain courts.. uhem courts 1, 2, 3, but my friends and i love coming here because honestly we know these courts inside out. We know which are the good courts and which courts have some hiccups, we come here so often know where the dead spots are on certain courts but with all that the prices at night for private courts cant be beat. One of my friends had a bad experience recently and I'm glad the owners took her experience into consideration and addressed the issue pertaining that specific employee. (if you scroll through all the bad reviews on google, its always about that one specific employee.) This place has become so popular that it is always booked out 2 weeks in advance. Looking forward to seeing how this place continues to grow and improve. Love the majority of the courts here especially their newer ones court 11&12. It has a little more privacy and prevents balls from flying all over into other peoples courts and vice versa. Some courts especially court 2 is less desirable in my opinion, it's dark and hard to focus or see the ball. Some courts do have water dripping from ceiling during rainy/ snowy days but it's not significant enough to become a hazard. Appreciate that they now have 24 hour options available. All of their staff are amazing except the one senile old guy, he's just miserable. (IYKYK) We come here regularly and seeing him just ruins your day/mood. Overall good courts with no dead bounces, adequate overhead space and lighting and clean bathrooms. There's parking to the side of the building (across the street) and in the back, however on snowy days it is a dangerous trek.

The place is clean, people are nice. Kids, hubby and I had a lot of fun. We have a favorite court…read morebut I'm not saying which one LOL

Place needs better maintenance as bathrooms are always wreaking of urine especially the kids family bathroom. Why do we have a children's bathroom with no proper way for children to reach the sink located inside the toilet? Staff at the salon also has a bad attitude. For such a high end gym, customer service is lacking 100%.

But policies set by management or corporate at this facility basically guarantee this location is on same trajectory as the Dodo bird. Other than the above, terrible quality for a Life Time facility and significantly worse than any other Life Time in NYC and Westchester area. The bumper plates on the second floor look more or less like a dog chewed on them. If you are here to lift weights, just know that the equipment is worse than LA fitness, NYSC, etc. Again, other Life Times have been renovated 1-2x over the past 3 years, if they aren't brand new. This is literally the only one that is like this. The only renovation they did was to remove a basketball coirt to replace with Pickle ball. The squat racks are literally a danger to use if you squat on the second floor if you hit parallel or lower unless you go to the 3rd floor (which typically has classes running) And now that they replaced one basketball court with Pickleball courts, you basically cannot use the basketball court. Unavailable 60-70% of the time to use. Attaching a picture for the reader to judge for themselves. Camp is over? Birthday party. No birthday party? Then its a league game (this one was not as bothersome before as they had the second court and it was not typically the entire day). I understand the need to increase revenue but at this point, this location is milking their members for quality that is worsening with each passing day. The reason this gym also went downhill is because of the influx of those who were going to Syosset and changed because the quality was also going down. I would venture to say Syosset is now the better location. If you have time, checkout Life Time Harrison or Life Time Dumbo. Drastic difference in quality. I hope corporate management changes their tune but its more likely that this facility will continue to increase prices and let the place deteriorate until they close down. Its really a shame. The reason this
