Such a simple process booking and the appointment was so informative. The two certified techs were so knowledgeable and friendly as they have been doing this for years. There are many practice ball areas for lessons, games and such. It has tennis courts and a concession stand for snacks. There are two small playgrounds for little ones. They have a smaller enclosed playground and a bigger open playground. I've loved going to the smaller playground because it's padded (thank goodness no wood chips here!!) and gated. She was able to crawl around and watch the big kids on the playground equipment and also enjoy the swings. The park also has restrooms located between the two playgrounds. The park has many soccer field, baseball and softball fields, tennis courts and the new pickle ball courts! in the summer there is a sprinkler/spray pad. there is ample parking and it is just a great park!

I'm not a fan of B-Ball yet my friend, Coach Dock of Shooting Stars, thought I should handle the clock for the start of his basketball league. Hahahahahahaha! Surely he's joking. He wasn't. Mitchel Gym is tucked away in Garden City and it'll be better if you have your own transportation to get to it. There is ample parking so don't worry. The gym is very spacious. A huge court downstairs with a balcony that has standing room only. The bathrooms are also a good size and they were clean on my visit. If you're using the gym for games/leagues, you'd have to supply your benches, tables etc. The gym is also used for the training of various sports. I had a wonderful time learning and clocking (I don't know if that's even a term) a game at Mitchel Gym. Occasionally, the park will hold certain culture nights, on the weekend that I visited they had a Caribbean night out near the amphitheater. A lot of people showed up and it definitely was not a disappointment. They even had a few celebrity, Caribbean singers. A lot of food vendors and arts and craft vendors were out and about making it worthwhile for the visitors. This park holds a lot of history, the memorial site down near the pond is a great place to watch the sunset. Here's a fun fact, Eisenhower State Park is larger than Central Park in Manhattan. If you ever get a chance to visit, I highly recommend. Not to mention there is also a golf course accessible to the public for a small day fee.

Todays visit to the Community Center in Syosset Woodbury Park had an Hour long Holiday Magic…read morepresentation by the Silver Songbirds. ( see pix) For those who might be using a GPS be aware once entering the park to make aright turn and follow to the back parking lot where the Center is. The group was lead by Susan Lilli's - Conductor & Narrator. They sang a variety of holiday songs and did a few skits, also handing out candy canes to the audience. "Nancy" played the drum for " Little drummer boy". They ended with "Auld Lang Syne wishing the audience good holidays and Happy New Year. In the back there were a few snacks for the sharing. The building itself has some children's decor, a display of wall tiles and a little Christmas tree in the hall.

The space is brightly lit, clean and more importantly adequately outfitted to be a high-quality basketball training facility. After my son completed his mandatory evaluation, he was ear to ear and asked when he was going back to Hoop Lab. I would highly recommend Hoop Lab.

Additionally the coaches run a tight ship while keeping kids on task. During this tough time - covid shutdown- they have offered Zoom practices. My kid has had other Zoom practices and classes and they're always sort of a mess. Rob and his coaches run theirs just like a regular practice - tight! It's clear that a lot of thought and planning go into each one. And, more important she's learning. She loves the practices. She says they almost make her feel like life is normal for a minute. They've been like an anchor during this tough storm! Thanks for doing the right thing for these kids.

Tx to the many of individuals, Staff and sponsors who serve there and Volunteers for this 2025 international monumental event. They each get 5 stars. Police, Military, Army Golden Parachute Jumpers , Troopers , Security, First Aid including a Mother's station and the great transportation people, (tx Suzanne) restaurants and kind people making things work. Maps both physical and QRs. Beautiful well kept grass and a crew keeping the place clean. Bravo to Citi Bank for their golf activities- Put Put and Vertual - phone Charger stations, a real Bar, places to sit and AC and photo shot spot. Thumbs up to the hard working volunteers at Delaware Patillon Restaurant C-9 , so many diligently work behind the scenes and runners to put lunch foods and drinks out for the many visitor's coming to this event.( see pix)

I've only been here once, a few weeks ago, to run in a socially distanced Turkey Trot 5K. It was more of a trail run which offered some nice views and terrain to run on. Plenty of paths to run or bicycle on. Trail running seems to be big here with many routes through the wooded areas. Can't say much more since I left after I got my finisher medal and went home. It was Thanksgiving and I had to get ready to feast!
