Delicious food, usually not busy since it's not well known! Friendly staff and a great view. Can't get much better than that!

This is a well kept secret just off of Hwy 61 south of Winona. Located near a historic mill which offers a great view of a waterfall this restaurant is under new management. covid19 restriction and guidelines are being followed at this location. Service was very good. The co-owner of the restaurant was our waitress. She was very pleasant and offered great service. Drinks were served very quickly and our order was taken immediately. We order the onion rings as a starter. They were a bit light on the quantity but that was quickly forgotten with a great tasting batter and flavorful onion. We were there for the fish fry and it was outstanding! Plenty of food! Large salad, soup, followed by the main course. I ordered the batter fried cod and my wife ordered the jumbo shrimp (and they are really JUMBO). I ordered the thin fries...never had paper thin FF before. They were not bad, wife had the baked potato which was outstanding! Everything was served fresh and hot. This is a must visit place. The menu has lots of variety and a good view. read more

Just had a great dinner at the Inn. Our server was the best. She was nice and attentive. We had the steak and shrimp. Got the whole works and split it with my wife. This is a good place for your local favorites like burgers, fish Fry, basic steaks and appetizers. Good bar too. read more

This place opened under new management in 2015. It was good before with a spectacular view of the old mill and waterfall. Now it has food to match the view. Ribs are the best I have ever had. Prime rib on Saturdays is also great. Outside could use a facelift though. Inside has been remodeled. It is worth the drive of 15 minutes from Lacrosse or Winona. Go for Prime Rib Surf and Turf on Saturday's only. They don't have a big menu, but the Prime Rib is worth it EVERY time. That's why you go. The shrimp are a great size and the guy makes a mean Prime Rib. Don't go expecting 10 people to be able to order 10 different things. Go with 10 people who want 10 damn good Prime Ribs. We were there on Saturday, May 13th. They had prime rib special. I'm not fond of prime rib, so the waitress said they could make a prime rib sandwich for $7.99. Ok...it was good. We went back on Saturday night. I asked for a prime rib sandwich. The waitress said it was $11.99. I mentioned the price last time. She said it's always been $11.99. Sorry..not. Ok I agreed to have it. The sandwich came. The bun was dripping with butter, and the bottom of the container was covered with butter. The prime rib looked like a piece of dried up meat. They brought a new bun that was toasted on the outside and cold in the middle. Then the owner insisted that the sandwich was always $11.99. Sorry I know what we paid. It was a waist of our time and money. We won't be going back. I had a very good prime sandwich at the Black Horse. We will be going back there. read more

I love this place as we do not have any other supper clubs close to home. Disappointed with the very limited menu, wish they would add a few more items. The food we have ordered mostly Friday night fish has been good. Pickwick has a great view and is very nice after remodel. read more

Nice remodel, great staff and good, good food. The tenderloin tips are scrumptious.
