This is a neat activity especially for anyone interested in history. It's a nice little drive out through beautiful countryside, and a terrific little walk/hike in beautiful open and clean air and unique topography. It took us about 15-20 mins to drive to the park from downtown, and we walked the full loop at a very leisurely pace in about an hour. The path up to the only cave where you can actually see the pictograms is paved, but from there on, it's loose gravel and not great for strollers or really anything wheeled. Really though, I can't imagine little kids being all too entertained by this. It's very cool, but probably wouldn't much interest or hold the attention of a little one. The walk up is a bit steep, but really I'd say people of most sizes/abilities could do the walk. I'm not super fit myself and I had no problem. I tried to show the steepness in a couple of photos but it's hard to capture in a picture. I think this is well worth a couple of hours.

Amazing to see rock formations like this.we only did 1 trail due to it being so cold and snowy

Historical sight seeing! Never to see in city life.

Amazing site! There are picnic areas to eat under shaded trees. Signs give awareness to the dangers of natural habitants (thank you for caring). There are numerous information around the cave sights and there are rangers available for questions and shopping.

Steep but rewarding hike. Seeing the pictographs, along with the WPA workers carvings, was an awesome experience

This park is pretty close to the airport, so you can also do some plane-spotting as you please…read more There's quite a few smaller personal aircraft here, so it's great to watch! Now onto the park itself. There's a parking lot with a few picnic tables, and a trail that seems to go out into the horizon. There's nothing stopping you from getting close to the edge of the rim rocks either, so you can peek over the edge if you dare. There are amazing views of the city, especially pretty in the sunrise.

They call it a Park, and I suppose with a couple of picnic tables in the shelter and the "necessary" building, it is a park, but not one that encourages long-term lounging. There's something about this spot that makes you want to walk, or run, or meander. Here, on top of the rimrocks, either direction, there's an impressive view of the City continuing all the way over to the Beartooth Mountains. It's a park that's also the trailhead for further exploration. Along the route there is an occasional bench upon which to sit and look at the sunset, or the sunrise, or the clouds moving over the mountains. The path is wide enough to accommodate walkers, joggers, and bikers in both directions. It's ADA accessible. But, come back to the Park to take a break, or have that picnic, or just stand around and chat with friends. You can't lose with the view.
