Also plenty of restrooms as well. So glad we stopped to SUP for an hour- the weather was absolutely perfect. $6 parking for out of state license plates and the park rangers do come by to check!

I really didnt see any picnic tables or much more that would help classify this as a park, but then again I was in a hurry to get to the airport so all I managed to get to do was a short walk on the trail and walk to the river to take in the amazing scenery. The river walk area takes you to the Yellowstone River, and offers you a great view of the Sacrifice Cliffs which are pretty spectacular. I wish that I had more time, it would have been great to be able to bike down the trail. If I ever make it back to Montana, I will be sure to return.

He knows how to swim it's only 3 ft when you freaking reach the bottom and so yes I swapped wristbands with another girl that was taller and gave it to him cuz the girl didn't want to ride he wanted to ride on the side like he did two weeks ago but unfortunately they saw that so when me and my son went up to go down the slide they had three ladies up there and the one lady was just rude as all can be and she said it's for the saved my child's head reached the middle of the orange part on the pole like I don't know why they got to be so weird about it my son has been on many slides many many waterslides and has never had issues like I can understand if you did not swim or whatever the case may be but the kid just wants to have fun you guys let him on the slides two weeks ago with no problem if you guys all need to be on the same little policies and rules or something because you brok my kids heart today thanks for that

It would be great for kids, long enough to get some energy out but not too exhausting. At the end is a nice shady, grassy area with picnic tables, but the walk itself is unshaded so be careful in the heat. The caves themselves are pretty cool, not to mention the birds' nests and views are interesting in their own right. Amazing to imagine all the history there! The ranger at the visitor's center was very knowledgeable and friendly, and it has a very nice little museum and clean restrooms. I'm glad we went!

They were also pretty steep. There were some artifacts on display at the visitor center. But the actual pictographs are incredibly faded and even with binoculars they were not worth the drive. We weren't trying to get there at opening but we found out there is a gate on the road that doesn't open until 9:00 and the visitors center doesn't open until 10. Make the drive if you want a quiet location where you can hear the cows mooing in the distance. Otherwise, invest your time somewhere else.

Just up the hill from Swords Rimrock Park, along a one-lane unpaved road, is the Yellowstone Kelly…read moregrave and the site dedicated to this Civil War veteran, scout, hunter, trader who was friends with some notable people of his time. It's a strange place for a grave for someone eligible to be buried in Arlington, but according to the writings about him available at this center, he wanted to be buried where he had his "greatest adventures" and so Montana, high on the Rims overlooking the Yellowstone Valley, it was. The view from here is spectacular. It's also very quiet. There are some easy, paved paths winding near the markers describing the life of Yellowstone Kelly. There's a paved parking lot, if you choose to make the drive here, but it's also accessible from the Heritage Trail path coming from MetraPark for those who prefer hiking, walking, or biking. If learning about historical figures who helped make Billings is on a must-do list, then make the hike. If that's not your style, it's also a nice pause on your walk or run along the trail.

They have concessions, and plenty of restrooms (no porta potties!). Grass is healthy. Field lines are prominent and straight. Parking can be a bit chaotic, so give yourself a little extra time. No lights so they obviously don't host night games. All in all, a nice enough place to spend a couple hours on a Saturday watching the kids' games!

The trail is very steep for the first half…read moremile or so as you head to the top of the Rimrocks, but once you're up, it's all flat and some gorgeous scenery. There are two different loops you can take at the top, and it you do both, the total distance is 3 miles round-trip. The trail is easy to find and follow, great for novice hikers and kids as long as you have the endurance to get to the top. Take a picnic to the top! Lots of great spots to see below to town and out to the mountains. Some shaded areas too. Dogs on leashes are permitted. I did not see any restrooms, or picnic tables. There is also a disc golf course here too; I don't know anything about disc golf, but some of the baskets were in very challenging spots!

This is a wonderful trail just minutes outside of town. First part of the journey is straight up…read morebut well worth Klein. Once you get on the plateau it's a very easy walk from there back to the bottom. Some incredible views with a very nice breeze blowing. It was 100° when we went but still very pleasant due to the low humidity and the cost of breeze. Not a busy trail, we only encountered a few people when we were there. Be careful with small children because there are many drop off points. We really enjoyed it.
