There is a whole wall dedicated to displaying these shiny treasures. It brings out the child in me, definitely provoking a kind of kid in a sweet shop reaction. Downstairs, there is a large number of fabrics to buy off the roll. I recently made a cape out of some gorgeous electric blue material from their basement, the vibrancy of the colour is stunning. I am constantly mentally modifying and reshaping clothing whilst shopping, safe in the knowledge that Samuel Taylor will be able to help me.

For a start, this shop has got crafts covered from every angle. Card making, dress making, jewellery, masks, glues - you name it and they have it, or can order it in for you. I was looking for peacock feathers one time and the lady even offered to make a special order just for me! The shop is literally bursting with exciting bits, full of potential energy, to make and do. I love it. I think the thing that sets it apart for me, from most other craft shops, is the staff though. Even though the stock prices a little more than other places, the staff are so friendly and helpful that they make it feel personal and independent. When you ask their advice you are not asking some disinterested minimum wage robot, you are asking the wealth of, dare I say it, over thirty year's (*ahem* maybe even more!) knowledge and advice, which is always given over with great care and attention to detail. They deserve every star, and satisfy all my creative crafty needs!

There is a wide range of fabrics here, many suitable for saris or suits but also a selection of thicker cottons clearly not created with saris in mind with patterns including brightly-coloured spots and stripes. CC textiles provides a welcome twist on your average fabric shop, as it clearly leans toward South Asian style fabric-wise, so as well as finding the standard fabrics you might find in say, Leeds Market, you will also find beautiful and delicate bejeweled sari fabric and pretty, embroidered floral fabrics.

The staff are smiley and know what they're doing - and if you take along something a little more interesting than another architect's drawing or big corporate poster, they're more than accommodating. I have used Service Point for large scale B+W prints, print runs for flyers, single big colour photo prints and even prints onto special (see: odd) format paper + sizes. They were happy to accept the challenge of printing onto brown parcel paper, and some card that I had found at a local craft shop (they may charge you a little extra, but they are determined to get things right - even if it takes a few attempts. All in all - top marks. Don't be put off by the location. And - you'll have to ring the bell to get in. You can pay by cash, card or set up a business account if you're so inclined.

There's also a wedding section (where you can buy outfits and set up a wedding list), a house and home section, lingerie, make up and beauty and jewellry section. (My perfect shop everything all under one roof). There's also two good cafes. I prefer the one on the top floor as it tends to be quieter and they do nice lunches/ meals.

They do a huge range of goods all under the one roof at fantastic and sometimes stupid prices. They do food, drink, toys, linen, toiletries, etc all at under average prices. They are the top notch best makes and not a cheap copy of the top makes which makes it even better. The only bugbear is the fact that the shop gets so busy and you end up having to queue for about 30 minutes but with the bargains you end up getting it is well worth it. The store is always nice and clean and well stocked - the stock changes every couple of days too which keeps the excitement factor going too. The staff are nice and friendly usually even when the store is absolutely heaving.

The treatment you get from staff is much different and tailored towards your individual needs, which is always a bonus for this plastic-flashing fashion enthusiast. For the ethical shoppers they also stock Veja trainers which are fair-trade and use organic cotton and wild Amazonian rubber. The shop has a clean, spacious quality feel to it and the staff are helpful and knowledgeable, seeming passionate about the products. I would be lost without this service and would highly recommend them. An added bonus is their sweet Jack Russell colleague who always brings a smile to my face.
