I happened upon this place while wandering around this town. The staff were all very friendly, and the pumpkin pie and my latte were delicious. The locals also seemed to flock here which is always a good sign. I overheard them say that they will be expanding their service soon. If I could give more stars I would! We stopped on the way back home to Virginia and it will forever be our go-to stop whenever we are making the drive to see family. The cutest little home-town feel cafe with the sweetest owners and staff. We spoke to Karen (the owner's sister) and Cassandra, our waitress, and they were both so incredibly warm and friendly! EVERYTHING was so yummy, but our favorites were: the award winning blueberry lemon scone, the red eye breakfast sandwich, the fresh granola parfait, and the pumpkin spice latte that tasted like a pumpkin pie! We were stuffed but we had to take some pie home and so we grabbed slices of their award winning mixed berry pie, the coconut custard (Karen's favorite) and the pumpkin pie (their seasonal favorite). Great pies and terrific service! Found this place on Yelp. Got there 20min before they were closing, all their whole pies where sold out. The lady owner apologized but I corrected her and said I just wanted a slice. She gave me a huge slice of apple pie! The pie was amazing. Filling was perfect, good ratio of apple pieces, spice, and gooy sauce! She asked me if I was from around the area and I said no, and she proceeded to tell me things I should check out in the area. This place is the little gem of Moorestown. I drive over 20 min out of my way on weekends just to get warm, fresh scones and delicious muffins! The owner is very friendly and courteous. They have nice little cafe tables outside, perfect for eating at on nice days. Wonderful, charming little place! The owner is a very friendly, kind and helpful woman who makes really wonderful scones and pies. I went with my mother and my son on a Sunday afternoon; I got the mint chocolate cream pie, my mother got the coconut cream pie and my son got a chocolate chip cookie. My mom also got decaff coffee (which was fresh) and I got hot chocolate with whipped cream, which was delicious. The slices of pie a really big and we almost couldn't finish! Very tasty. The prices are incredibly reasonable and the selection is really, great especially for such a small place. The seating inside is a bit cramped but there's ample seating outside with outdoor heaters for when it's cold out. The name "Pie Lady Cafe" really says it all. I was attending an event last night and it was time for dessert to come out.--I am trying to "cut down" a bit and did not intend to even look at any of the goodies. Ha! Out of the corner of my eye I spotted friend Rich with a beautiful (no other way to describe it) looking piece of blueberry pie. I love blueberry pie and asked a simple question....--"Is that from The Pie Lady Cafe??" The response was "Of course!" How could I resist? Answer: I could not! The blueberry pie was worth every calorie IMO. Delicious crust and topping. Chock full of blueberries with a hint of lemon. Yum! We stopped in last weekend after a recommendation from my brother-in-law. What a hidden gem and less than a mile from my house! Homemade pies, scones and even pop tarts. We left with a bag of scones and homemade pop tarts along with two pumpkin purée spice lattes. The scones were amazing, butterscotch definitely my favorite. This place was love. The workers were very friendly and extremely settling. They ran us through their menu that can be found on the front 2 chalkboards. For being a small and quant cafe it was particularly busy. I treated myself to a slice of the Strawberry/Apple pie as well as their heavy favorited Blueberry and lemon scone. Both were very satisfying. The pie was a massive slice on this neat cold plate. The pie had a good overall sweetness and the scone lives up to the hype. Each thing on the menu tasted exceptional. Kate got the apple cider doughnut and these are only available on the weekends. She LOVED them so we may be coming back traditionally on Sunday's lol. The only downside was that for a single slice of the pie your options are slim. I came with hopes of tasting their blueberry or apple pies but learned after the long travel that you have to buy whole pies for certain flavors. So this was disappointing but other than this minor thing the place was great I recommend giving it a chance. read more

This place is AWESOME. I would highly recommend it to anyone who is nearby or to anyone who ISNT. It is THAT good. It is a mom and pop shoppe where everything is made on the premise. They have pies, scones, muffins and other baked goods. They even have La Columbe coffee. I was in sugar heaven. I will be back many times. There is a great atmosphere and the people behind the coffee. The Pie Lady has hands down the BEST scones I have ever tasted. You cant go wrong with Pie Lady! read more

My favorite thing about the Pie Lady is... well, everything. The quality of the baked goods here is superior. Everything is freshly made (unless you want to splurge on one of their 1/2 priced "vintage" baked goods). Everything I've tasted contains perfectly balanced and complimenting ingredients & is reasonably priced for what you are getting. $2.50 for a large, perfectly flakey, moist scone is well worth it. The store front is tiny, lining its walls with some local artwork. During nice weather, you can prolong your stay and sit out on the front porch overlooking Main St. They serve La Colombe coffee which I love, too. I would pick a stop to the Pie Lady over grabbing a morning treat at Starbucks any day. I am also looking forward to bringing one of their pies along to a special occasion. read more

Yesterday was my first visit to the Pie Lady. I really enjoyed the quiche lorraine. But our apple pie was served "cold" and we weren't asked if we wanted it warmed. When we asked for some whipped cream the servicer gave us a dirty look and said we don't have whipped cream! The service was POOR at best. The menu offered 3 pies by the slice and 2 pies you could purchase whole. There was a blueberry pie whole and we asked for 2 slices of blueberry pie and they wouldn't sell it to us - I'm sure they are selling day old blueberry by the slice today. Once we ordered they wouldn't deliver our food to the table which was only 5 steps away. The three table are pushed close to each other so it's not easy to maneuver without bumping into furniture. The girl behind the counter was rude. The music playing was loud and annoying. I certainly didn't get a warm cozy feeling that I expected from a local restaurant called "Pie Lady". read more

After reading the many wonderful reviews, we decided to finally give the pie lady a try. We are very happy! We tried the mixed berry pie, it had a crumble top, and it was delicious. Sweet, not tart at all, and FULL of berries. We brought it to a party and everyone who had a slice loved it. I'm sure we will be back here again. I highly recommend...so good. read more

Really tiny place but I dont mind that. It makes it more intimate. But its not very interesting nothing spectacular sets it apart from any other coffee shop that isnt starbucks. I got a chai tea latte with an apple raisin scone. The chai was $3 and it tasted like water with cinnamon. No flavor didn't do anything for my taste buds. The apple scone was REALLY DRY AND CRUMMY. I like this place a lot. It has great scones and pie. Unfortunately I've been back 4 times and every time they've only had coconut custard pie made for the day. I would like to try their other pies, so I'm wishing for a little more variety. The coffee was okay, they have tons of flavored syrup to choose from. I'm giving this place four stars for now. The service is spectacular. I got a lemon and blueberry scone which was really good. I also got a piece of the coconut custard pie that I didn't much care for. It wasn't that sweet and kind of bland tasting. However, I plan on trying other things because I'm sure they have some kind of pie that I'll love.
