    Classic avo toast with feta
    K B.

Super cute, small, quaint shop serving breakfast, lunch and pastries. 1st time here and noted the small menu which is fine with me, as it seems the focus is quality over quantity. As a scone lover, I would be excited to try a non chocolate flavor-but all they had were chocolate chip. Opted solely for the classic avocado toast with a sprinkle of feta. It had a slightly sweet and savory flavor. All in all was a fresh, delicious, bite of food. I can't really speak to the service, as I took my toast to go. Will definitely return to dine in, and try other menu items and the array of rotating pastry options. 9/10

Great space selling local honey, nut butters, novelties, and candy!

Pie Oh My! You need to give this place a try! I finally got in for the first time today. So glad we stopped. I have to say I am not a fan really of scones but my wife got one and it was incredible! Honey Lavender, sign me up for one of those next time I'm in. I got a sausage egg and cheese on a homemade biscuit and it was wonderful! I would say there are not many breakfast sandwiches in this area that could hold a candle to this one. We got a cinnamon bun a slice of the lemon pie and a slice of the banana pie to go and I cannot wait to try those! I also was able to pick up some local ginger infused honey, which I recently ran out of; so this was perfect! And they have great coffee from a somewhat local spot in Jersey. It looks like they're doing some great things here hopefully I can make it back in more often. Solid job, great stuff happening here. Get in there if you haven't...go early because they have been selling out .

sausage egg and cheese on a bagel, so delicious!

i love to take my dog to pennington park near by and always drive by this place so we finally decided to give it a try we came around 11am on a sunday and all the biscuits were already sold out unfortunately so we opted for an iced green tea, sausage egg cheese on an asiago bagel and a BLT on an everything bagel, we also got cinnamon rolls! the interior and exterior of this place is adorable. they have some outdoor seating in the front but they have this huge area in the bag with cornhole, games and lots of picnic tables. perfect for our dog to hang with us while we ate! the bagels here are delicious. they almost remind me of a hybrid of a biscuit and a bagel. the sausage egg and cheese was delicious! my husband also loved his BLT, he said it was so fresh! the cinnamon rolls were also delicious, the right amount of sweet. overall 5/5; service was also so nice and friendly! will definitely be back to try their pies hopefully :)

    Morning readings always happening.

Come here at least once a week. Coffee is some of the best since it's Evermore Roasting! Biscuits are the best bread to build your breakfast sandwich with. Cinnamon rolls are the most consistent pastry. Scones could use improvement they always taste the same regardless of the flavor. They act like a crumbl cookie of sorts constantly rotating pies. Recommend to keep one consistent for the season so people can at least try the pie that was posted or just released.

Finally had my first visit here & I will definitely be back. One thing was better then the next. The food & sweets were amazing. The eggplant, tomato, & goat cheese quiche was incredible with so much flavor. I also got the mini Cinnamon Toast Crunch pie & it was excellent. I loved there iced coffee blend too! I cannot wait to return!

    Cute little items!

The "rose apothecary" of bakeries. This place is great with everything but your waist line. The key lime pie is out of this world.

Parking is a little non-existent. There's signs for parking in the back but the back is 12 spots that rapidly fill up. You might need to get creative to get here. When you walk inside, there's countless displays of freshly made baked goods and a giant wall of donuts on display. The lady taking care of me was very nice and selected a bakers dozen for the crew. I also got a couple pecan rolls for me and my other. The pecan roll was delicious! Sweet, sticky, laden with pecans and soft but not pillowy. The perfect bite of a bakery sweet. I brought the dozen into my conference room and turned my back to write out my talking points. After a few minutes, I turned back and the donuts were gone. Now I am being quizzed when the next meeting will be and will I bring donuts to that one too. So this place is very good, almost dangerously so. It's a little pricy for donuts, but the quality is there in spades. Worth a try or a trek if you need a donut in NJ

Before we entered the restaurant we were "distracted" by the vibrant ice cream store in the same strip. We walked in and were overwhelmed with all the ice cream options. Speaking to the owner, he said his family owns the EL Primo Plaza. We were on a mission for food, but will definitely visit the ice cream store in the future (our plan was after dinner, but dinner was so delicious and so filling, there was no room for dessert this time...better planning next time!). The restaurant is in a Mexican convenience store, but this is not your typical Mexican convenience store. They had so many options for everything. And they have this great bakery in the back before the restaurant. Everything looked SO good! In the back is a full sit down restaurant. We were seated and it is nicely decorated and has a view into the kitchen to watch them make the food. Our server promptly greeted us with some chips and what I think was a mole sauce. They were very tasty. We decided on a watermelon drink and shared mixed fajitas. The watermelon drink was fresh watermelon and it was very refreshing. The mixed fajitas came out piping hot, full of steak chicken and good sized shrimp. Sometimes at other places you get the baby cocktail shrimp, but these were a good size and nicely grilled and seasoned. You get a nice amount of sides to make your fajitas. There was so much food that we asked for extra shells at no additional cost! We thought we put a dent in the food, but we had so much still to take home. Everything was so fresh and seasoned well. The meat was nice and tender. There was a good amount of peppers and onions but it wasn't overpowered as sometimes also we have gotten fajitas elsewhere when there is mostly veggies and very little meat. We were absolutely stuffed by the time we left. Very good. We have added it to the list of places to return.

I thought I'd written a review about this place before but to my shock I had not…read more I have been coming here since the day they opened, infrequently beacuse I am diabetic but when I want to spoil my body with delicious sugar, honey, this is *IT*. Now I could tell you all about how perfectly tasty everything is. From the classic banana puddings (I prefer the caramel version myself,) to the cookies, to the pineapple upside-down mini cakes. Yes, I could tell you that. But I want to speak to something deeper. I want to speak to belonging and community; and to fairness. As a biracial person with a brown sister, I feel the pull to support black and brown businesses. It's not a secret. And sometimes you do it, and sometimes you privately think "Damn. I wanna be supportive but this place is a mess." Then there's Sweet Life. NOT that. FILLED with good product at a great price, delivered by owners and staff who actually give a damn about being loving and supportive to all different types of people. And did I mention the sweets are POPPIN'? And to that statement of fairness. Today I came in to place an order, and when the price came up, for a moment I thought "Damn. That is a lot higher than I remembered, but I am not about to question them. They set the price and that price is what they deserve." So I paid. But then I noticed there was more in my bag that I'd asked for, and that there had been a miscommunication. When I tell you that this miscommunication was corrected with swiftness *AND* a smile. No shade. No drama. Just an "Ooops, oh well, here's your refund on the balance." I know this seems very basic but we all know it isn't. We have all been in that awkward situation where as a customer we have to point out an error, and the vendor turns it into a Shakespearan tragedy. Not Sweet Life. "Oops. Sorry! Fixed. Love you." So, to recap: Stunningly delicious sweets. Prices fair as hell. Communicative, inclusive staff doing the right thing. You need to take those money dollers and haul your ass over here TODAY. Now...where did I put my insulin pen?
