An absolute Italian market gem in Mt. Laurel that's been turning out killer sandwiches since the early '90s. The second you walk into Boaggio's there's a lot to distract you in the best way: fresh pasta, hot trays of food, and a dessert case full of Italian sweets that makes it hard to stay focused. I spent a minute debating the menu and still know I'll be back to try more. I ended up going with The Don, which comes stacked with their chicken cutlet, burrata cheese, and vodka sauce. It's one of those sandwiches where you realize halfway through you're already full and keep going anyway. I got done with that "my stomach hurts but I have zero regrets" feeling, especially after adding a raspberry linzer to the mix. This Italian bakery/food shop is authentic. The staff were super friendly and they let us try some pasta in the case before buying it. Also we were given small samples of gelati with cherries in the bottom of the cup. I ordered the Don which is a chicken parm sandwich with vodka sauce and fresh mozzarella. Before you buy any of the sandwiches make sure you look on the menu or ask. Not all sandwiches come out hot. The Don is NOT hot when you get it. I took it home and reheated in my toaster oven. People complain about this but it is marked on the menu next to the items name. If it says hot it'll come hot. If it doesn't say that it will be cold/room temp. The Don was really good. I don't think my sandwich had vodka on it though. The price was $18 and it's a two meal sandwich. My wife had the caprese sandwich and said the tomatoes were thin and it was really good. They have cannolis and other treats as well. They do make fresh bread but once it's gone it's gone. Two really sweet women were helping us and they answered our questions. It's on the end of the strip mall with enough parking spots. We also bought some dried pasta and they carry the Mutti brand from Italy if you want authentic Italian. As soon as we walked in we were greeted by one the the owners, Donna. Her service alone would bring you back. The ambiance is welcoming and warm. It's as if you walked into your family home and they had all of your favorites prepared. Donna gave us a whole buffet of samples. Everything was delicious. This was our first time at Boaggio's. It won't be the last time. Boaggio's is a very cosy space and packed with Italian specialties. There is a small seating area, maybe for 6-10 people. Most customers do takeaway. We ordered the Donna Maria short which was fine for sharing. We chose the seeded bread and this roll was outstanding. The Chicken cutlet, arugula, fig and goat cheese really worked well together. It was a really good sandwich There are so many items at Boaggio's to choose from, it is a bit daunting making a decision. Service was very friendly. Every time I come in I find something new! From the premade meals, the sandwiches, the desserts...always delicious! And the size of the sandwiches, combined with the fresh quality ingredients equals a fantastic meal. My husband and I ordered chicken cutlet sandwiches. Mine had vodka sauce, cheese, roasted peppers, and cured meats, but everything was ice cold, including the vodka sauce. My husband's chicken cutlet and broccoli rabe sandwich was also served cold. Very disappointing. read more

I've got this list of places near me that I need to try, and this spot has been on it. On a random weekday, I had off, thought it was the perfect time to try after running some errands. I saw a few photos of the inside, looked over a menu online, and had my heart set on a certain sandwich. I was very confused inside. Go in and right in the center is a rack of you know condiments, dry goods. To the left is the cooked meats, and prepared meals? Back at the door, straight ahead I thought maybe that's the deli? I still don't know. I chatted with one woman in line who let me know on the weekend the case is full of sandwiches, subs, and pizza ready to buy. She also let me know they have the best rolls, so I grabbed two of those. Little merchandiser display case to the left of this area with the desserts and sweet treats. I was a little flustered and thought I saw a small sub and was happy. Got to the counter and it was this MASSIVE sub, $20 or $22 bucks and I just took that. It fed me and my mom for a few meals. First off, it was delicious. The lettuce didn't act like regular lettuce on a sub. This had a dressing on it and felt like a full-on salad and I honestly loved it. Would I bring this sub on a lovely picnic, probably not, it was messy. Tasty though. I want to try calling in the sandwich I saw on the menu and can go pick it up. In my opinion, the chicken should be finely chopped, similar to how beef is prepared in a traditional cheesesteak. I understand that chicken can be tricky--it dries out more quickly than beef--but execution matters. Here's my breakdown: * The roll was excellent--crunchy and flavorful, as expected from a bakery. * Unfortunately, that's where my praise ends. The provolone slices weren't melted properly, as I could still see the distinct shape of the cheese. Placed an online order for cookies and biscotti a few days ago and went to pick up today. So, the order was for 3 one pound boxes of cookies each. Attached are screenshots of the order. We get there and they screwed up the order and placed all 3 pounds in one box. We were giving cookies to 3 different people so they had to redo the order. Normally wouldn't have been a big deal. When we ordered, the price was $53.97. Not so when we went to pay. Apparently they now wanted to charge us $2 dollars more and the excuse was the cookies in each 1 pound box are sometimes higher. So, basically you're not going to honor the price quoted on your website? $2 not a big deal; however I don't think it's appropriate to mislead consumers. The next annoyance was that on their website, the boxes of cookies are pictured wrapped with red ribbon for the holidays. Apparently not my order. In fact, they wanted to charge me $10 extra for some ribbon. Wtf? I can't speak for the food or pastries; however I'm giving them a 1 star for my above first visit to their store. Oh my gosh this place is amazing!! I came with my friend near closing and the owners gave us some extra slices, they were so sweet! I tried a slice with red sauce and a slice with sausage and peppers. Both slices were amazing! The red sauce had so much flavor and you could tell it was homemade. The sausage was also very flavorful and the peppers added a nice sweetness to the slice. The crust was perfectly chewy and had some char -- so good! I also had a cream filled lobster tail and it was probably one of the best pastries I've ever had. The pastry cream was the perfect level of sweetness and the pastry itself was super flaky and tender despite the pastry being prefilled. It was just so fresh and light and delicious, I will be dreaming about this dessert!! I also got a small brownie square and like everything else, it was amazing. Super dense and fudgey, a perfect brownie. This place is a true gem and you should definitely stop by if you're in the area! read more

This place is fun! It's hidden inside an office complex, you'd never suspect a bakery here Once entering you can see there's 2 counters, one for pastas and sandwiches and the other for bakery orders. I got some cannolis, dinner rolls and tomato pie. The cannolis were filled to order and were so delicious! Not too sweet and very creamy. I also enjoyed the dinner rolls, I would have wanted more Asiago flavor tho on the Asiago one. Checked this place out after finding it on Yelp. Never would've found it otherwise as it is tucked away in nondescript office park. It is easy to park there. It is a small place that has some Italian imports such as cookies, oil vinegar, pasta, etc. They have a small selection of bakery items in the back. I didn't see any prices marked. I got four lemon cookies. I was surprised when it came out to just about eight dollars. The lemon cookies were very tasty but expensive. Shout out to Boaggio's Bread in Mt. Laurel! Donna Boaggio and her staff definitely live up to the slogan, "enter as friends and leave as family." Some of the friendliest family and staff members that I've come across at a small business. The menu is pretty big. Highly recommend taking a look at it online before showing up. I went for the banging pork sandwich with provolone, long hots, roasted peppers, and broccoli rabe. The $20 tag sounds like a lot, but the sandwich is about the length of your forearm. For a normal apetite male, it will be enough for 2 meals, ladies make it 3-4 meals! This sandwich really hit the spot. The bread was soft and chewy, and I had concerns it wouldn't hold up to this type of sandwich, but it certainly did! Love the garlicky flavors from the broccoli rabe, the nice heat from the long hots, complimented by the sweetness of the roasted peppers. I'm still at work looking for someone who has a mint or gum! I also couldn't leave without trying a square of the upside down pizza. Really great crust, and I loved the pizza sauce! It had just the right amount of sweetness. If you want delicious, authentic Italian food -come here. Don't be fooled by the industrial park location-this place is a find. We ordered sandwiches and some bread to take home. We also sampled the roasted potatoes. My daughter doesn't get that excited about potatoes and even was stunned at how simple and delicious they were. They have a bunch of pre-made foods that all looked amazing in addition to desserts. We got some cannoli for dessert tonight. If it's not as amazing as it looks, I'll edit my review. This is like a foodie paradise. Donna takes so much pride in the food, justifiably. Everything is amazing but our favorite is the pizza rustica- that sauce is the most balanced I've ever had... a little acidic, juicy, ripe, joyous. The sandwiches are crazy good.
