Wow - the came up with a solution and saved my 25 year old umbrella. These guys are creative and great workers for a solution for you. Ya would think if all they have there are trucks & cars, they may not be able to help you out. But if it is a metal and you have a problem - run it by them...great minds at work there. I have not had any work done with them but I think how they…read moretreat potential customers is just as important as how they treat you when you do spend money with them. Basically I called up looking for some information about rebuilding my engine. The guy that answered the phone sounded very disinterested in wanting my business. I told him that that I didn't expect an exact quote but that I was trying to get some range of prices outlined so I could help make a decision on what avenue I wanted to take with rebuild or replace. He first told me that he would need to pull the engine, get it apart and see what was wrong with it before he could quote me a price. I told him that the engine I have is not blown and actually runs really well, but just has a lot of miles on it and that I wanted to do something before it came to requiring a rebuild. The guy then said "So you want me to pull a number out of the air and then pull the engine out and go through it?.....$2000, but it may or may not be that". Since he never really asked any questions about what I wanted to accomplish, why I wanted to do it, if I wanted any upgrades, was it for street or track, etc. , I felt that I better not place a few thousand dollars on the line with this company. Had he simply said something like, "To do a standard rebuild assuming no major issues and with a standard rebuild kit, you are looking in the ballpark of $xxxx. If you want to upgrade anything or if we run into some major problems, those will be the biggest factor in the cost of your rebuild." He just seemed irritated that I called in the first place and all he wanted to do was anything but talk to a potential customer. The sad thing is that I got a couple referrals from some people stating that this place is really good at what they do. That may be true but because this individual did not seem like he cared about the customer, I cannot comfortably recommend them.

I worked with Joe there who was about as friendly as they come. It was pretty simple cheap job but they still went the extra mile to make sure I was satisfied.

I have to say I am very impressed with this shop. They offer world class machining services and…read moreexpertise on a wide array of engines, something that San Antonio needs. I recently took a Pontiac 400 block to them after the original cast crank snapped. While the damage to the main journals was too great to save the block I know they did everything they could to save it. I left with a sense of peace that if the block could not be saved by them, then no one could. I am thankful for their efforts and knowledge moving forward.
