People in the lab and reception desk are all very well trained professionals. This facility is clean, and located in Atlanta but still very assessable and has easy entrance to the parking carage. No one wants to hang out at the doctors office, but if you have to, this is nice. Great thig is that you can get your special medications in the same building.

He had referred me to a Piedmont Head and Neck surgeon. When my wife and I got there the Surgeon's staff had n referral on file nor any of my information. Given that my Primary Care Doctor, Cardiologist as well as my Urologist are all Piedmont doctors, I found it very curious that they had no information about why I was there, Needless to say, we left. I let Piedmont Cancer know about the snafu and they referred me to Piedmont ENT on Peachtree. Again, we got there and meet with a doctor who , again, had no idea why I was there. It was to have a surgical biopsy on my right lymphnoid. After the exam, he had referred my to Emory Winship Cancer Institute. Given all my doctors were Piedmont doctors, my experience with Piedmont Cancer Institute was extremely disappointing. To top it off, where they charge me $50.00 for a smoking eval, where they had asked the following questions: how long have I smoke and how may packs a day. Some eval!!! It may be convenient location but not worth the aggravation and time lost.

As soon as I walked in the lobby I knew I was double triple booked like they do at the beauty salons. the whole lobby was packed with customers. First off my appointment was at 10:30 I didn't get seen until a little after 11:00, I had to check back in to have someone do my labs which took another 30 min wait. Then I had to check in online for my meds and wait for that to filled inhouse which was another 30 min. This process seems inefficient to me. I left around 1:25 p.m. Now here is where things get weird. I have never in my adult life had a physical or doctors appt w/o basic questions being asked like family medical history, vitamins/supplements that are taken, mental health , drugs& alcohol. I told doctor and kiosk I had been hospitalized recently and that wasn't even brought up. I brought my medicine in and wasn't asked how long I was dealing with condition or taking meds. Another weird thing about my appt is my physical didn't include the basics. Stick out your tongue say AHHH, look in my eyes & ears, check my reflexes, tap on my stomach to make sure my liver is ok, EKG, check my breast, oxygen levels, heck my temperature wasn't even checked. The only thing checked was my blood pressure, pap smear (nobody asked my last cycle or even if i was on my cycle) , and labs. During the physical I told Dr. Pinera that I didn't think my meds were working for my BP. I think I'm becoming insulin resistant from my medicine. He became very offended. Wanting to know who told me that, where did I read that at. I felt insulted and unheard as if at my 47 years of being on this earth I can't tell something is wrong with my body. I showed him my BP that I have been tracking, and he told me the meds are working, he clearly didn't read what I showed him because my BP has not been right with or without me taking meds. Dr. Pinera asked if I had sleep apnea which I do and said this could be reason for the way I've been feeling. He told me has prescribed this BP medicine to so many people and it works. I informed him several times we won't know until the labs come back. At one point i started crying I was so flustered and was trying my best not to let my tongue unleash something serious and offensive. I was told I would get a new bp monitor, mine is shot out. I didn't see any email or anything on Kaiser website showing that, only thing I saw was an email invitation to download an app for bp monitoring. At the end he told me he was going on vacation for 2weeks and to make an appointment in 3 months. I wont be back. Dr. Pinera seems nice but I don't think he listens really. You can try at your own risk.

The women's health clinic has been very good so if you have to use STAMPS Dr. Kraft in general practice, and Dr. Barker in women's health are both phenomenal, but do not use the pharmacy. Additionally the men working the front desk are nothing more than unprofessional and insolent. The skinnier one with glasses has always been the rudest to me. He seems like he genuinely hates his job and would rather be scraping the gunk off the shoe of a smelly horse in 100 degree weather than checking me out of the building. I WILL be calling the Admin at STAMPS to complain about the unprofessional behavior of their employees.

Still, scheduling appointments is a massive pain,…read moreand the front desk/scheduling personnel make it VERY clear that students/patients are not a priority. In terms of scheduling, the patient portal has minimal available appointment options and absolutely does not show providers' actual availability. You can try calling to schedule an appointment to get around this, but after over 45 minutes on hold to get a hold of a scheduler, I gave up. They also will not allow you to book weeks in advance as the schedule "hasn't been published." As far as I can tell, the only way to book an appointment farther out than a day or two is by contacting a provider directly. However, the phone numbers aren't listed on the site, and scheduling personnel won't give them to you. I should add that the schedulers I have dealt with have been pretty rude and certainly don't emphasize with students on the terrible scheduling experience above.
