This is the second time that we have used the company and both of our experiences were fantastic. For the first project, they installed several wooden retaining walls around the front of our property. The work was done quickly and affordably, and the quality was excellent. The walls are still in great shape several years later. Last summer (2016) we hired the Great Outdoors to install a new flagstone patio and stone retaining wall around the back and side of our home. We were somewhat hesitant to commit to the project because the work would be so extensive but Graham took the time to meet with us, answer our questions, and provide suggestions on what could be done to improve the existing space while still keeping the cost within our budget. In addition to the patio, they also made some alterations to our front walk to accommodate a nearby tree. The walk is now safer and the tree was undisturbed. As with the first project, they were very efficient, completing the project in just under a week, and did a wonderful job. As a result of this project, my wife and I now spend considerably more time enjoying our backyard. On a side note, all of the staff for the Great Outdoors are incredibly friendly and polite, making them enjoyable to work with. The company also has an ecological mentality to their work, trying to utilize local plants in their landscaping, which was appealing to my wife and me. We will definitely call the Great Outdoors for any future work we would like done.

It was a really personable experience and the exact opposite to our poor experience with Lowe's!

The parking lot was completely empty, which should've been my first clue. I walked inside and was greeted by the deafening sound of absolutely nothing. No "hello," no "can I help you," not even the courtesy of a suspicious glance. The staff appeared to be strategically positioned around the store doing everything in their power to avoid looking like they were working. Everyone seemed old enough to remember when riding mowers were pulled by horses, and somehow the store had less energy than a library at closing time. If you wander around long enough, you'd forget if you were a customer or just a ghost haunting the premises. It's sad that the Wendy's down the street have more personality, enthusiasm,--and they're serving square hamburgers for a living. At least Wendy's acknowledges that you've entered the building. If you're looking for lawn equipment AND need to do deep research find out why this place has less than 2 stars, this is apparently the place for you. If for some mental reason you decide to purchase something from them, don't forget they'll hit you with a 3% credit card surcharge. Nothing like passing on the consequences to the customer.

They will give you bogus stories for weeks and months, hoping you will just abandon the equipment and not take them to court. I would have never used them to begin with based on the other reviews where other people got scammed in the same way. I work in legal and was assisting my elderly father to get his equipment back. DO NOT USE THEM!

It's him, or no one. His wife is lovely and accompanies him at times. Very knowledgeable herself. About 4 weeks ago I initiated contact and he responded immediately via text. Great, I thought. Then nothing. After a few more messages checking in, he said there was a family medical situation. I gave him space, and here we are two weeks and yet another text message to him later, and nothing. Nada. And still a leaking well tank. C'mon. Do better. We are done, hope you sort yourself out with other customers - I've seen several other people have had the same experience.
