Lane's is amazing. I'm fairly new to Waynesboro and had no idea who to go to for an issue with my dwasher (LG washer/dryer all in one combo unit) - it was difficult to find anyone to work on LG, much less such a "specialized" appliance. Lane's offered to at least take a look at it to see what they could do and Brian was quickly able to diagnose the problem and had it fixed within a couple of days (a part had to be ordered), going out of his way to fit me in on a morning before I had to leave for work to make sure I had a functioning washer/dryer. I again reached out to them recently about a problem with my Whirlpool refrigerator - Sandra called me back and asked me about what was going on and then offered me suggestions to try on my own before having them come out for a service call. The advice she gave worked and I was able to avoid paying for them to come out!!!! What service providers give free advice these days??? Lane's does! I highly recommend them and will definitely keep them as my "go to" for any and all future appliance issues. read more

My wife and I had a bad leak underneath our washing machine. Thanks to a recommendation by LG Electronics listing Lanes Appliance as one of the authorized LG service companies near us in Charlottesville, and an excellent review here on Yelp by another user, we gave them a call. That was a great move. Everyone from the office manager who took my call and setup the appointment, to the serviceman who came to our home to look at the machine were professional and helpful. After a relatively quick fix, thankfully, we now have a working machine that does not leak and flood the laundry room. Very pleased by their professionalism and service ethic - the office manager called the evening before to confirm the appointment, and the serviceman called before coming out to the house after his last appointment. I HIGHLY recommend this company. I had a tricky, urgent electrical problem that was over my head. I had already struck out with two licensed electricians and was ready to look for a (costly) replacement. I described my problem to one of the staff at Crozet Hardware and he recommended I call Lane's. I called immediately and it so happened they were finishing a job a few minutes away. Within 20 minutes, the problem was fixed. Steve Lane (the owner) even went online to locate a separate component -- to keep on hand -- to expedite service in the event that a different problem occurs in the future. That bit of customer service was an all-time first for me. For any electrical stuff I can't figure out on my own, I'm keeping Lane's number in my phone. Since working at Basic City Beer for the past 4 years, I'm well aware of of the quality commercial service that Lane's offers, as that's who we use for all of our refrigeration needs. But, until my home refrigerator began to have trouble keeping its cool (punny), I wasn't aware that they offered residential appliance repairs, too. Talked to Steve and he sent Brian out, next-day. He was very professional, courteous, well-mannered, efficient, and high quality. He wore a mask (Covid-19) the whole time, had the parts on-hand, and had the fridge fixed within 2 hours. I live in Charlottesville, and I will only call Lane's for appliance repairs. They are wonderful to work with, and the repairman Brian is AMAZING. We had an issue with a new fridge and Brian attempted Samsung's recommended repairs, one after another. Nothing worked, so Brian documented the issue and Lane's helped me to get Samsung to cover most of the costs for the repairs. In the end, Samsung took back the refrigerator and gave me a full refund. I couldn't have gotten this issue resolved without help from Lane's. I just called them out again to install a side vent on my new dryer. Brian got the vent installed in like an hour, and now I have more space in my laundry room/bathroom. Thanks Brian, and thank you Lane's!!! read more

Our refrigerator went out on November 12 unbeknownst to us until we came home from work on November 13. I put a service request in and received a phone call the next morning and they fit me in within a matter of hours. The service technician, Tristin, was amazing and very helpful.
