If you have a head cold and others that come in later than you have something far worse than a chest cold expect to wait. The consistently best time to go is Sunday at 9am but sometimes you can get lucky on the weekend mornings. The doctors are a mixed bag but never less than fairly good. They tend not to call in prescriptions, which I like because you can discuss affordability of medicines being prescribed. Not all locations do it this way and not all locations are the same. I was seen very quickly, within 10 minutes, when I had bacterial walking pneumonia this year that defied a previous clinic's antibiotic treatment and within 5 minutes when a deep gash on my palm back in 2005 that would not stop bleeding, both somewhat serious medical issues that would have me waiting in the ER for hours. I do have to say the staff is still not very good in dealing with health insurance "challenges". For example, my healthcare insurance company requires a "preauthorization form" to be filled out to get my GENERIC medicine (apparently they think this medicine has no generic form). I understand it is an absolutely ridiculous request from my insurance company but every time this happens it is like pulling teeth to get the staff to fill out the form. This is why I cannot give them 5 stars. There is still a little room for improvement on this matter.

A doctor won't see you, so you'll see a nurse who will tell you only a doctor can order bloodwork and refer you back to your PCP three days later after giving you steroids and antibiotics, in which case the doctor three days later will NOT order bloodwork since you're already on steroids, wasting time and money. Then when you go to a normal PCP he will tell you, you should have gotten bloodwork from the beginning. Ridiculous. Don't go here.

After I couldn't get an appointment at my usual family practice places, I decided to try this place…read morebecause at the very least they should be able to see me quickly. My Assumption was correct. From the time I arrived it took me less than fifteen minutes to fill out paperwork, go through the standard H&P with the staff (who is probably just working after high school), get seen by the doctor and then get a prescription and pay my flat rate for an office visit. Key things to note: it took less than fifteen minutes before i walked out with a prescription, and it was CHEAP. Unusual flag-raising kind of things: 1) I didn't see any patient charts anywhere. None. No clutter ANYWHERE. 2) no computers anywhere. These things don't equate. 3) The high school girl in scrubs basically told me what my symptoms were. That's a little odd. 4) they don't bill insurance. They essentially have two fees, one for an office visit and another for a sports physical (which was less). 5) the walkout statement had seven "standard" procedures (in addition to the two office visit codes) pre-typed on the form for the doctor to use as a template. One of the codes was for Nail Removal. (Seriously??) 6) the walkout form had a place for ICD9 codes and not for ICD10. ICD9 codes have not been actively used in medicine for office visits in two years. But I did get my prescription in under fifteen minutes.

We arrived at this facility at 11:30am there were 5 kids in front of us 3 were well and 2 were sick visits. It is now 2pm. I may as well took my baby to the emergency room. The patient rooms are pretty small. The Doctor was professional and thorough. He answered all my questions and prescribed my child with medicine. Altogether I was in and out of the urgent care facility within an hour.

I just moved from Florida and needed a few forms to register my child into the GA school system. I was able to call and easily schedule my child's appointment over the phone. They did mention to bring any medical records and immunization records to my appointment so I made sure to be prepared. The night before, they called to confirm our appointment and also to make us aware of the price to transfer immunization records ($5) and price for nutrition/dental/vision/hearing ($40). We arrived at 8:01a (opens at 8:00am) and our appointment was scheduled for 8:15am. I walked up the the window "clinical services" and checked in with a very sweet lady who was very helpful. She had me complete a form and provide the immunization records. Thankfully since they were current, she was able to use most of the information and my child only needed to perform a hearing test ($7). The wait wasn't long at all and another sweet lady, Darlene called us back and performed the hearing test. The examination room was very clean. The entire facility was very nice, clean and spacious. They even had a Disney moving playing on a huge flat screen in the waiting room. There was a security guard on duty and he was pleasant as well. They do accept debit/credit cards for payment. Overall wonderful experience and was out in less than 30 minutes.

Been going to Kennesaw Wellstar for over 10 years. 1st…read moredoctor was ok but after he diagnosed me wrong and I made a stupid remark that I need my rotator cuffs fixed after a year of pain or I would rather cut off the arm. I don't know for sure but the referral docs that went to had treated me like I was on suicide watch or something. So, he must have put something in my chart that i cannot see that probably warns other docs that I am unstable. Not the case. After that doc moved on, I seemed to like the next doc and things went well for a few years. He really pushed the covid shots hard which work made me get anyway. Problem with him was when I asked about people on TV bragging about being under 7 for their A1C why he is pushing on me to get it down to 5 when I am at 5.6 already. His answer was "everybody is different". Made me start thinking that he gets kickbacks on the drugs he prescribes. That doc moved on and no more male doctors at that location only women docs. That is new for me but not a problem. Problem is when trying to get my insurance worked out it took them over 2 weeks to call me back. Had blood work appointment at 7:45 which got me out of bed at 6:45 just to find out the only technician they have available is stuck in traffic with no ETA. I found another PCP and canceled both my appointments with Kennesaw Wellstar. Bottom line is nobody seems to care there anymore. Matter of fact when I canceled the appointments the person working actually laughed when I asked to cancel them. Laughed when losing customers should be a real eye opener for a good manager. First of all, woman at front desk who checked me in RUDE. I stood there waiting for HER DIRECTION. Didn't even really seem like she knew how much she should charge me for my copay. That alone should of indicated to me to RUN. I get called back in 5-15 minutes from arriving. The nurse on call or who assisted me. COMPLETELY insensitive, rude, didn't ask me thorough questions. I'm at a point I been SICK WITH NO APPETITE FOR 3 weeks! I shamefully started crying and this woman no sympathy or empathy, let alone did she truly even want to be at work OR HELP ME! Dr. Garcia rolls in to tell me.. OH we figured it out. You have a UTI. Um... excuse me, you figured this out in FIVE MINUTES. It takes anywhere from 12-48 hours to see WHAT TYPE OF bacteria grows in on urinalysis dipstick. I could of went to Walgreens to test my own pee and PH levels. Prescribed me an antibiotic, I THANK GOD decided not to take until I had results back from my urologist.. who knows I have IC! What PISSED ME OFF THE MOST.... I went in on a Sunday. The staff working calls me on a Wednesday to ask me how I am doing. I said oh wonderful, I'm still off work sick! That's for not helping. Whats the worst. Someone calls me back literally 10 minutes later and says... "oh ma'am, we got your test results back, you DONT have a UTI. How are the antibiotics doing?" I'm sorry but I FLIPPED OUT! What do you mean I don't have an infection but you prescribed me medication ANYWAYS! You damn marketing sign up in the front of your establishment even says something along the lines "our care team works hard not to prescribe you medication, if your not in need of it" Get the hell out of here. I will go to the ER next time I am this sick to actually get proper care. Since the nurse stated herself "we are just a little old small clinic i don't know what you expect us to do for you." WHATS THE POINT OF URGENT CARE THEN!!!!

This clinic presents itself as a place of care and professionalism, but my experience showed…read moresomething very different. I witnessed behavior toward both patients and employees that felt discriminatory, racially biased, and deeply disrespectful. Patients suffering from kidney disease deserve compassion, dignity, equal treatment, and a safe environment regardless of race. Instead, there appeared to be favoritism toward white patients and employees while others were treated unfairly, spoken about negatively, judged, ignored, or made to feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. No patient should ever feel racially profiled while receiving medical treatment. No employee should feel discriminated against or talked about because of their race. Healthcare is supposed to be built on trust, care, and humanity, and unfortunately that was not the environment reflected here. What disturbed me most is that these are people already dealing with serious health conditions and emotional stress. The last thing anyone fighting kidney disease should experience is mistreatment, unequal care, or feeling unsafe in a place that is supposed to help them heal. I hope leadership takes these concerns seriously, investigates the culture within this clinic, and makes real changes because discrimination has no place in healthcare.

Confused why it took so long as 1) The waiting room was not crowded and lot of empty patient rooms. And 2) They just gave three tests all at once that they said results would take 10 mins, did not come back until 4:30 and then gave me an additional test that was supposed to take 8mins. I think they just are extremely understaffed. Would have been more of a bearable wait of table for patient was not seated at such an awkward angle. Think I would have been okay with such a long wait time if I could have laid down flat with a pillow and napped while I waited. Hope they are able to hire more staff soon so wait time isn't as long.
