Truly an excellent experience this morning taking my teen in to test for strep. I was able to book an appointment and pre-fill my contact information first thing this morning. I got the earliest time slot with no wait. When I got there, admittedly a few minutes after my appointment, I was still greeted by a friendly face and checked in quickly. The intake nurse asked good questions about why we were there and actually listened. She clarified what we wanted--a test for virus. They took the swab, and I got results and a consultation with Dr. Moon all within 30 minutes. They were kind, attentive, caring, and didn't waste my time. They offered to fill my prescription on the spot, which could have been convenient but cost too much for me. read more

Don't waste your time making an appointment online. When we showed up for our appointment we had to wait an hour because they also take walk-ins....HOWEVER making an appointment does not save your a space in line. Not even sure what the purpose of online appointments are? We were told one person was ahead of us, waited 30min, asked again and was then told TWO people were ahead of us. Went there with cold/respiratory symptoms. Easily scheduled my appt online via their website. Was taken back for exam ontime. Nurses were professional and friendly. My attending PA listened well to me describing my symptoms and surrounding factors (i.e. wife had same illness a week ago). She asked good questions and I was treated (steriod injection) there in the office. She told me what to expect and look for within the next 48 hours, and what to do if conditions did not improve or worsened. That's all one can ask for from Urgent Care. When visiting the Johnson Ferry location to have my 5 year old daughter with a spiking fever seen, I was told she could not be seen until a prior balance tied to a bill from a visit in 2018 (for me) that was billed to my prior insurance company (Blue Cross), whom I was under at a prior employer nearly 7 years ago was taken care of. Although the front office staff member fought for me, because she too thought this was ridiculous to not see my 5 year old daughter who was in need because of a bill in 2018 (to which I know nothing about) that was filed before she was born and filed with a different insurance company, I was still forced to pay a minimum balance and set up a payment plan for her before she would be seen. Will never go back to Piedmont Urgent Care again. read more

I'm not sure why but this Marietta location completely missed my husband's diagnosis. He walked in feeling weak, with a severe headache and his resting heart rate over 100, a hard time breathing and a cough, and sweating profusely. He was obviously in distress, and told them he had been sick for a week. He was tested for Covid and flu, found negative, prescribed cough medicine and sent home. Three hours later he went back and the front desk attendant said "Oh, you're back" but he felt so bad that I decided to take him instead to the ER. He was diagnosed with pneumonia and was admitted to the hospital. read more

The staff was very courteous and professional. We were set to go on a cruise and needed to get a COVID test 3 days before getting on the ship within the next 3 days. We waited in the waiting room about 15-20 minutes after our scheduled appointment to get in to have the test which wasn't too bad. Once they knew we had to get on the road everyone moved quickly to get us out- which was nice. The only issue I had was that COVID infected or shall I say people with symptoms were walking right in front of us to ask the gal at the front desk if they had to make an appointment or wait in their car! What! Funny thing was that we were asked during the testing if we had been around anyone that had been infected and I felt like saying YES- right outside in your lobby! I think they need to make people remain outside that have or has someone in the car that has symptoms. So if I should come up with COVID in the next 7 to 10 days I sure know where I got it. read more

My brother was visiting from out of state and had a leg injury that wasnt healing properly. I haven't had good experiences with the urgent cares closer to my home in the city so I looked through reviews and decided to try this one as it was a bit further south and had good reviews. Not only did they accept his out of state insurance, but the whole process took just barely over an hour and we left with antibiotics having only paid $35 for the entire visit including medication. I would highly recommend this location! Clean waiting room with complimentary water bottles. Polite and friendly staff. Fairly simple to get to and parking is very very easy. read more

I recently went to this facility with chest pains and high blood pressure above 170. I arrived around 11:30 am. I was told I could not be seen until 4:30, and there were 20 people ahead of me. There was one person in the waiting room. This is not an urgent care facility. This is a doctor's office or a clinic. The fact that it is called an urgent care facility is dangerous. While the facility and the front office staff were compassionate and friendly, ultimately after many X-rays for a hard hard fall, I walked away with basically nothing. I have had 3 cervical and back surgeries but I'm youngish, so they gave me basically Tylenol and neosporin. Don't waste your time or money here! I had a virtual appointment with Piedmont well-street. The doctor told me to come in for an appointment and made an appointment for me at the 3120 johnson Ferry location. I get there they say they don't see my appointment and proceed to say they don't even take my insurance! So how am I able to be seen for a virtual appointment by your company and not in person????? The receptionist kept saying "sorry we are not merged with wellstreet, we are still summit". And they were so unapologetic about it! How does your website say you take Amerigroup and your business title have WELLSTREET IN IT. But you're summit and don't take Amerigroup. It doesn't make sense. Rude staff, I was on the phone while a nurse named Michelle continued to ask me to sit down while I was trying to fill out paper work and talk on the phone. I politely told her give me a second , that I am on the phone. She than continued to repeat that I needed to sit down. I again told her ma'am I'm on the phone please wait. She still acted as if she was deaf and couldn't hear that she needed to wait. I was completing the form they asked me to fill out as well as my form for school, and told her ma'am I'm on the phone a third time. She is rude, and seems extremely incompetent. I will take this as far as it needs to go, in order for her to either be re-trained or learn some respect and customer service skills. I will not be coming back here. The only reason I came to this location was because they carried the immunization shot I needed. I strongly recommend going else where for some respect and hospitality service. Summit requires a video triage call prior to a Covid test. I had a confirmed appointment for 10:52am. I go on the call 15 min early as requested. I then stayed on hold with a message to "please hang in there, someone will be with you soon. Expect your wait to be about 15 minutes." I waited until 12:20 - for one hour and 30 minutes before disconnecting. A triage nurse called me at 4:53pm to see if I wanted to take my video triage call then. I had of course made other arrangements at that point. The only reason I give 2 stars instead of 1 is that I know they are overloaded with cases. That is however no excuse for making an appointment which they had no intention to keep at scheduled time. read more

Terrible experience. I brought in my mom with acute back pain. I called ahead and booked following the phone instructions but once we arrived they told us we were booked for Covid test. And told us next available appointment is in 1.5 hours so we can sit here and wait. When I said my mom cannot sit because she has acute back pain, they said she can stand either inside or outside. Stand for 1.5 hours! Just no compassion or basic human decency. Just absolutely shameful!! read more

I have been trying all weekend to get someone on the phone and it just hangs up on me I registered online and it asked me if I wanted a virtual visit for a cauvet test. I did not think of virtual visit could be applied to an in person test so I didn't follow up on it I just stopped by the clinic. There was absolutely no one there and they would not see me same day. We had an appointment for a rapid covid test (traveling internationally for a funeral), had done the virtual visit they require and gotten written confirmation of our time slots; however, when we showed up, we were told that they didn't do testing anymore for the day. We were told to come back the next day and sit in line with everyone else; however, they said they couldn't guarantee anything. When we asked why we had been given an appointment by them if they aren't doing covid tests, we were told that they use a different company to perform the virtual visits and scheduling for them and that they don't always communicate with each other. Very frustrating experience. Went to this urgent care because reviews were high on google because it groups all piedmont urgent care's together. Came in to this "urgent care" for my son who had a fever and an eye swollen shut. Lobby was completely empty in the lobby, 2 hours to closing. They said we needed an appointment which they didn't have to next day and for us to go to Kennesaw. That they only had 1 provider. Website says walk-ins 365 and this is NOT the case. The scheduling system is not good. They need to keep walk in spots available if they advertise walk in. Very disappointed. They act put out here. Expected more from Piedmont. read more

I would select 0 stars if that was an option. The staff is not solution driven.. just there for a paycheck. In addition to that, the healthcare system doesn't have to worry about them overwriting antibiotics because you're lucky if you actually leave there with a prescription medication. The couple of times that I have been, they have told me to use OTC meds and come back if my symptoms did not resolve. Their business model is to collect your copay and get you in the door as many times as they can. Just my experience. read more

I was impressed with how quickly I was able to get an appointment, the ease of check-in, and the professionalism of the provider I saw... Until I got my bill for $340 for a simple UTI. I had a wonderful experience here. The staff is friendly and helpful and the dr I saw was knowledgeable and kind. She was thorough and gave me a clear understanding of a few things I came in for. I was given a prescription as well as follow up reading. I couldn't have asked for more. The wait time was reasonable with only one person ahead of me. They were clear about pricing as well. Stay away from this place!!! My husband, my son and I went to this Piedmont Urgent Care for a simple PCR test and nothing else! We were seen by a PA and someone else to take the samples for the test. The PA spent 5 minutes with us - she just asked us a few questions and explained the test. We got our EOBs from our insurance companies and they billed the PCR test and an office visit (level 3). First of all, they never asked us if we wanted to see a PA and be billed for it! Second, in order to bill 99203, she would have had to spend 30-40 minutes with us. She only spent 5 minutes! DO NOT GO TO THIS URGENT CARE! THEY ARE COMMITTING FRAUD!! read more
