She once charged me $120 (I lost my insurance because of the changes to healthcare) to tell me I have TMJ and the excruciating headache I was experiencing over a two week period would need to be handled by a specialist. That appointment was 2 minutes long. Hats off to Dr. Kurey for putting up with her for so long. I have been a patient for 15 years and have never had problems with him. He is gentle, kind and straight-forward. Rachel, on the other hand, is just a mega-bitch who I wouldn't touch with a ten-foot pole. She is more fitted for a position in a hospital, not a FAMILY practice where different types of people come in on the regular. The nurse greeted me at the desk by saying we don't prescribe pain meds here but I fought her and saw the doctor. Dr. Iyer was the same way - treated me like a junkie (I'm a 58-y/o grandma) and refused to prescribe anything stronger than an NSAID which we all know are bad for your liver. Gotta say, doctors need to put their own philosophies in their pockets when dealing with pain treatment - not everybody wants to party down with narcotics - sometimes ya just need them!
