Turn on you insta notifications for their page, because good items go fast! You can get some amazing deals and pick them up at the shop. One of my other favorite things they do is the "outfit bar" where they've already put together looks using their clothes that are on sale. You can look through tops and bottoms that have already been paired up. Often they put together things I wouldn't think of that look so cute! The last time I visited, I bought a skirt I LOVED for $18. They gave me the option to forgo the plastic bag, and they would donate .10 cents to a charity. I said "yes please!" and got my items wrapped up in a cute little cloth tie. Love this place!

It is like Michael's and JoAnn's thrown together. MAJOR. I always make an effort to come by HL everytime I come to visit my hometown. HL has a wide variety of artificial flowers and plants, much more than Michael's has. They also do carry a huuuuge selection of home and yard decoration, some small furniture pieces. If you need sewing accessories and maybe some fat quarters, HL has a great range of fabric. Got painting skills? They carry canvases, all types of art papers, paint, markers, water colors, etc and everything an artist needs. I am really jealous that Valdosta has a HL cause where I live now (Palm Beach County) does not!!!!!!!! The only complaint I have is sometimes the workers at the register are so enthralled with their phones, texting, and sharing photos off of their phones with other workers while there are customers waiting and waiting in line to check out! I've had to wave down a couple of them while they were "busy" looking at each other's cell phones and saying "awwww that is soooo cute"...... *attn HL manager* please have your workers NOT bring their cell phones with them into the workplace if you want your customers to be happy and if you want to make money! On 10/12 was in the Valdosta store shopping for another Body Shaper due to a recent mastectomy. I…read moreasked for assistance from Associate: 028316. I advise I was wearing a Maidenform brand and I wanted to try another brand. The young lady had very little knowledge about the products in that department but I took the information, thank her and continued to search. During the search, I stopped and stood in the department for maybe twenty minutes or so because I realized that I had not sent out an important reminder text to the group of Ladies that I meet with on Saturday nights. After I made my decision on two BodyShaper's, I left the department and walked down to the men's department to find my husband a belt. After about 20 minutes a young made came to me and made a joke, I ask could he check me out with the three items ( two shapers and one belt) he looked at the the young lady, on my right, it was the associate that advised me about the shaper, the man that worked for your company said she can help you. I looked at the associate and said are you looking for me, she said yes ( she looked to see what was in my hand). I said I have shopped at Belks for years and NEVER had I had an associate follow me from one department to look for me in another department. This made me very uncomfortable, my husband said it best, she thought I was going to steal . She was very obvious, I am asking for training for this associate. Also tell this young lady, Belks have security cameras and I am sure security, that could have watch me and not make me feel VERY uncomfortable and disrespected. I have a Belks card and I often shop on line. If you asked the young lady, I am sure she will remember me, I was pleasant and kind, even after I realized that she was operating in decent. I only Pray that she is HONEST, TRUTHFUL and FORTHCOMING and not LIE just to save her job ( smh) in regards to her actions based on her suspicious thoughts about me.
