My husband and I have loved this mini golf course for years. It's our go-to family hang when my brother visits. Because it's right on the Hudson, this is a great spot for hot days. Love the mini golf course here! It was fairly priced and the view of the city and the water is spectacular. The pier itself is very clean (unlike many part's of the city) and it's always populated with people playing various sports. I've also spent an afternoon at the Grand Banks, a strategically redesigned sailboat made for partying with friends and light food. Great atmosphere but very pricey. Not a spot for regular visits, for me at least. I've since left the city but if I was still there, I'd go back to the mini golf for a nice date night. read more

This pier is so lovely and contains so many fun things to do. There's a great playground for children that has sprinklers and swings and a bunch of other things for them to play on. There's also mini golf and a restaurant, among other things. I've done mini golf here twice and I've had so much fun both times. It's a small course, but with 18 holes you can go with a date or friends and still have a blast. Each hole is unique in its own way and so it is fun to make your way through, especially with views of the water on one side and freedom tower and skyline on the other side. I came here at night and had a pretty good time playing mini golf here. It's in a nice location, with great views of the city. It only cost $6 per person which was awesome. There were some snack stands and places to sit, along with some beach volleyball courts and a skatepark. Overall, a good place to spend a couple of hours. My only complaint is that the course is a bit run down and it's not one of those super fun mini golf courses with little fun courses or additions (like you might see on vacation). This might be one of the best kept secrets in Manhattan. Mini golf for $6, while watching the sunset over the New Jersey skyline? You betcha. The staff at the park is amazing, there's one older gentleman who will make your heart melt especially, and the course is cleaner than any other public park. Mini golf greatness aside, this park is great for a workout. Lole and a few other overpriced athletic apparel stores throw free workouts in the summer, just check the calendar for when those happen. One of my favorite past times is playing a leisurely game of mini golf near the pier. Love this area of TriBeCa - especially during the summer - very scenic, lots of joggers, all in front of a beautiful waterfront backdrop with boats and a skyline. Minigolf is cash only, only $6 per person for however long it takes you and your team to complete all 18 holes. A group and myself went on a Saturday in perfect weather when everyone else was also out enjoying the NYC climate, and the course was pretty busy but the wait times were not terrible in between groups. The course itself isn't perfectly maintained or manicured but does not prevent the completion of a successful game. In short, it is good enough for an hour long activity for the amount of money it costs. The employees were very friendly and lemonade was tasty. Although the course does not blatantly bar outside food and drinks, I brought my Starbucks coffee with me and had no issues. read more

The course has rapidly deteriorated. A very nice member of staff said that Hurricane Sandy had destroyed the water feature at hole 15. However, the state of the rest of the holes is inexcusable. What is the Hudson River Trust doing? NYC is the richest city in the world and yet public amenities like this one are left to decay while the Hudson River Trust focuses all efforts on building an island for the millionaire Barry Diller. I used to love to bring friends and family to this mini-golf course for the unparalleled views and setting. Now, it is an illustration on how a beautiful space can be mismanaged. I came here on a date not to long ago, and this pier is quite beautiful. The mini golf area is really fun, and it's only $6 per person and that includes the golf clubs and the golf ball. The only thing about the mini golf area is that it's shared. You have to wait for the people in front of you to finish before moving to the next hole, but that's not too bad since every person has 5 tries to get the ball in the hole. There are a total of 18 holes to end the game and all of them were fun.It's very beautiful to look at the sunset from the pier and such a beautiful romantic setting. I plan to come again. read more

Hmm, "mini golf on the Hudson River," you say? I had heard a bit here and there about the fun to be had at Pier 25 so I finally decided to stop by with a friend to check it out. As we headed over around evening time on a summer weekday, I had visions of hordes of people clogging the mini golf course and areas around, but it actually turned out to be a pleasant (and not too crowded) experience. You basically walk in, pay your $6 admission fee, grab a club and ball and off you go! The course itself is compactly designed (obviously), but some of the holes are challenging and they get credit for packing this much fun into a small area. The only downside is that it is crowded enough so that you have to wait for the parties ahead of you to finish their game before moving on to the next hole. That just gives you some time to take in the beautiful Hudson River and Lower Manhattan views while you wait (especially nice at sunset time). Overall, this is a fun spot for a quick pre-dinner or pre-happy hour game with friends, especially when the weather's nice and all you want to do is be outside. I'll be back (and hopefully I'll suck less at mini golf next time - it has been a while!). read more

I personally, really love Pier 25. It is one of my favorite places on the West Side Highway- especially during warmer weather! You can find these fun outdoorsy activities on the pier: Mini golfing, beach volley ball, skate boarding, dog parks, soccer and free kayaking on the Hudson River- all while having a view of the Freedom Tower and Statue of Liberty! I'm pretty sure that's called living the life. The pier has quite a few activities for people looking to partake in such as minigolf, beach volleyball, kids playground, and did I say minigolf? I love minigolf and feel it is a fun activity you can enjoy with anyone, any age. Because I came for that, the remainder of my review focuses on minigolf. I decided to force my girlfriend out of her lazy Sunday to spend a few bucks doing something other than watch Breaking Bad and Suits. We went during a very sunny day to tackle the course. It was only FIVE dollars per person! Much cheaper than going to see a movie for close to $15. Unfortunately, the course is a little boring with simple layouts with only one hole being interesting (the one with a narrow bridge). I thought all minigolf places had a "putt thru a spinning windmill" hole? But other than that, it was fun to do minigolffing and fun to do something different for less than what you would have to pay for snacks at a movie theater. Some other notes: "Bee" careful if you are allergic, lots of bees when I went! Gets crowded and you may have to wait on groups infront of you. read more

$5 mini golf on a quality outdoor course in NYC can't be beat. Great for dates (which you'll see a LOT of if you go on weekdays after 6:00), or just for an outing with friends. It does tend to get pretty crowded in the summer (again, mianly after work hours), but the scenery's so nice that I never seem to care if I'm stuck waiting a few minutes for the people in front of me to be done with the hole and move on to the next. Every time I go here I'm surprised it's not packed with more people! It is the PERFECT activity for a summer day (or for when you've just stumbled off the Hornblower Jazzy Brunch Cruise and need some time to chill out before you get on a subway.)! It is sO cheap, $6 but they only take cash! They also sell some snacks at the booth, candy bars and bags of chips etc. Last year it seemed like some of the water functions weren't working, but that turned out for the best because my ball fell into the "lake" area quite a few times. There are few cosmetic things that could be worked on, like a few patches on the greens that have no "grass" and are fully concrete. One of the coolest piers I've been too. Mini Golf right on the Hudson. They have all kinds of things to do here. Including a really great view of the Jersey Skyline. This is where my speedboat tour started. It's quite interesting. There are separate lanes for bikes and pedestrians, so in that sense, it had a bit of a California feel. Of course, this was during May, so that feeling was gone quite quickly. :-) However, I still loved it. There's a bit of a hipster vibe since it's in Tribeca. There's a washroom, a small playground, mini golf, volleyball courts and of course, docking areas for boats. I think if you lived in the area, it'd be a great place to be active and avoiding the crowds of Manhattan as I saw plenty of runners, bikers, walkers and kids just relaxing. In addition, you can basically take boat rides with views of Brooklyn, New Jersey, and Manhattan. Verdict: Pretty nice and also close to lots of restaurants. read more

Children are $5 and adults are $6 plus there are several inexpensive food options under $5 each: pizza, hot dogs, fries, and an assortment of beverages. Don't go on a Saturday afternoon. As a native Floridian (aka cracker) mini-golf was a way of life growing up, from drunken nights sassing tourists on the Jolly Roger back 9 to challenging my grandpa to a winner take all skins games, it's as normal as getting stuck behind a snowbird in the fast lane going 45mph with the blinker on. I love Pier 25 in the summer since it's a great place with lots to do- you can play volleyball, go jogging, play mini golf, or just take in the views of your surroundings. There's also plenty of food/drink just a few blocks away, which makes for a convenient location. I love Tribeca as it is, but I really really love this pier in the warmer weather. Pier 25 is so awesome. It is so clean. This is a place I can see myself coming for years to come. It is so beautiful over here and the cost of the putt-putt is so cheap. It's only $5 for adults and $4 for kids. I went on a wonderful Saturday afternoon and it wasn't overly crowded. This is a great place to go on a date or a family afternoon. There is also the skate park and the beach volleyball court. The kiddy park rocks as well. This is like Pier 1 in Brooklyn one of the new awesome parks for kids. My only problem is that they don't have any real bathrooms right now they only have porta-pottys so that quite literally stinks. Awesome place to go on a date on a sunny Saturday! My boyfriend and I came here to play mini-golf. It's $5 a person, which is really not bad at all, considering it's in NYC. In addition, the views are amazing as you can see the skyline (including the Freedom Tower) while you're playing. We went on a perfect Saturday (weather was absolutely gorgeous), so there was some traffic while playing as there were many groups of people ahead of us. The course itself is pretty straightforward and doesn't have any fancy windmills like in other courses, but it's still a great place to check out! read more

So all I have to say is AWESOME MINI GOLF!!! That is my favorite thing about this pier. It is a beautiful 18 hole golf course with incredible views for only $5. However, it does not stop at mini golf, there is also beach volleyball, a mini green space, and playground for the kids (the swings are quite tempting but fare warning don't do it! when it says for kids only they mean it, almost got a fine for being on the swings). Quite Possibly the Best cheapest date in the city. I went here on a double date and it was really fun. Not 9 holes but 18 holes for 5 dollars. Sure you are probably thinking the course must be old and cheap and can't possibly be fun but you will be wrong!! The course is in great condition some great holes including one where you have to hit it over a bridge and over water. Very difficult to do for everyone so expect a log jam at that hole. Other than that 5 dollars per person is unbeatable and you will be in a nice area nice scenery and usually nice people. You can't go wrong. read more

I thought free kayaking would be lame. As an avid kayaker who loves going on long ocean/ river trips, the idea of paddling in a small enclosed area seemed amateur. And, to be fair, it was-- but still so much fun especially if you're just looking for a fun short experience! There were actually ample waves, and it was fun riding in a tandem kayak so close to the Hudson. Mini Golf Review Only: $5 for an 18-hole mini golf game is a pretty sweet deal, and it's made sweeter when you get to play on the pier overlooking the Hudson and...well, Jersey. If you come on a really nice day during the weekend, which I did, you'll have to deal with a good number of other people playing. Wait times for each hole aren't too too bad though, and watching others fail miserably or score an enviable hole-in-one offers some amusement. Still, the line can move at snail-ish paces at times with little shade to hide under. The course itself takes up surprisingly less space than I'd expect it to, and several of the holes are challenging in their own right.
