I'm really happy I booked a solo trip with SYB to Croatia! I loved the daily workouts/yoga before heading off to local adventures like hiking, biking, and kayaking. Mantas and Steph fostered a culture of fun while pushing your limits for personal growth with a group of strangers that quickly become friends from all over the world. I would definitely recommend.

I went on an adventure with surf yoga beer last month to Palawan, Philippines. I had signed up because I needed to reset and escape the hustle in New York that had me running and chasing the end of a rat race that was not for me. Diving into a journey half way across the world- Not knowing what I was getting myself into or who with is an experience you only get from solo travel. But here's the catch. I have travelled alone in the past and have had great experiences- lonely planet and trip advisor help you make sure you won't drown in the deep end. And your instinct to visit that place brings you to meet fellow jet setters / voyagers when you're there. The best part of this trip was all I had to do was sign up. I picked the destination and activities that suited my desires on SurfYogaBeer.com and I was done. Didn't need to research where I was going the SYB leaders take care of that and the company groups like-minded people to travel with or just keep you company while you take your trip. I recommend surfing their website for anyone who needs to reset or an escape from their daily world. It was an experience of a lifetime to one of the most beautiful places I've visited, loaded with the most delicious farm to table meals and unlimited beers. For 8 days I was speechless and in a blissful dream everyday- if you're spending time reading this ... surf on SurfYogaBeer.com and book your adventure!

Can anyone give me a breakdown of the different types of rooms that there are? If I am going alone, do I have to choose a single room? Thanks!

We would have our morning workouts and Mantas (a SYB leader) would give us the layout for the rest of the day.

During our whirlwind of a weekend visiting NYC, my husband and I woke up on a Saturday morning and…read moredecided we could both use a little bit of yoga to start our day... We searched Yelp for a nearby studio with a class that was appealing and we found that this new Midtown East CPY studio had a Core Power Yoga 2 class that morning... we weren't sure we'd make it, and we walked in just a few minutes before the class started, but the ladies at the front desk worked with us to get us registered and into the class and we were so appreciative. Kelsea W was our teacher and she was fabulous... she had some unique sequences that allowed my mind to focus on the present moment and just move / enjoy the class. Needless to say, it was exactly what I needed! The studio itself is spacious, offers lockers, bathrooms, water refills, a bit of a retail store, mats, towels, and more... So yes, CPY is a chain, but it's consistent and if you find the right teacher / class, you'll get just what you need in that moment. Thanks again, Kelsea!

We've had the chance to take classes both in the mornings and evenings, and have likely practiced with most of their instructors at least once. The class schedule is great, and with our membership, booking spots for the high-demand classes isn't a hassle. We've had no trouble getting off the waitlist for early morning sessions either. All of the instructors have been friendly and excellent to work with, creating a welcoming atmosphere. Even when classes are full, the space doesn't feel too cramped, which makes for a comfortable and enjoyable experience. We highly recommend this location!

It's a very spiritual focused studio but they also care deeply about the biomechanics and functional movement. I started going here for the Bikram and loved it every time because every week I would learn something new to improve my form and connect more deeply. Lately I've been more into the Meridian and Vinyasa classes which are not heated and less hot but challenge me in a different way with more inversions, some pressure points, and some new positions. The instructors are amazing and so down to earth. Highly recommend for a grounding and welcoming experience!

Also, and it is just my personal experience, the other practitioners seem to follow the same vibe as the people that work there; friendliness is a top down phenomenon. I've learned helpful things from each and every one of them. I also took the 26&2 fall training last year and if you want to learn how to teach, it's a great experience.
