Good enjoyable cruise around the St Petersburg part of Tampa Bay. Captain Christian, the skipper, gave informative descriptions of the bay, its wildlife including the dolphins. Sarah, an environmental studies intern, handled the docking ropes and refreshment sales. We did see several dolphins early in the cruise. The group of dolphins included a very young one. The cruise is not just about dolphins. We also got a close up look a a mangrove island that is home assorted species of water birds, including pelicans and cormorants. Onboard refreshments are available. The assortment includes a couple of beers, hard seltzer and lemonade, some non-alcoholic beverages, and bagged snacks like crisps. We enjoyed this cruise. Cpt Christian had such a good sense of humor. Had us laughing several times. We saw a baby dolphin. The captain said that is a rare occasion. He also gave us history of the homes on the water. We saw so many birds and the views were amazing. It was Father's day. So the Father's got their first drink free. They sold snacks such as chips and candy. Also sold alcohol refreshments as well as non alcohol. My advice is to use the restroom prior to boarding. The restroom was on the lower level and those steps looked treacherous. Even for me. I was glad I went beforehand. The boat did do a lot of rocking so you have to be very careful. His first mate was helpful in getting everything for everyone. This was very affordable and definitely worth the price. Parking can be a challenge so I recommend paying to park. So that you won't miss the boat. We departed at 1pm. The ride was a total of ninety minutes. Highly recommend. Hold on to your hats and get ready for a good time. read more

Captain Jeff and 1st made Elle were such great hosts. I think Captain Jeff is 1/2 dolphin because he knew exactly where there were. We even saw a dolphin go full airborne out of the water. The Sunset cruise was so beautiful seeing the St Pete Skyline at night . Snacks on the cruise were reasonable and the kids really enjoyed me not saying no, which I normally do for anything extra and overpriced. The directions were clear, try to make as much noise as possible to attract the dolphins. We saw dolphins! Do not expect jumping tricks like you do at an aquarium. However, that's not the point. These are beautiful mammals in the wild! We also got to see some mansions by the water with unique architecture. I did not use the bathroom, but it's not easily accessible for elders or someone who has mobility issues. The FAQ section clearly answers this on the website. Had a great time with Captain Christian and his first mate Ellie - who just passed her Captains License exam! Congrats Ellie! We did the 4pm 1.5 hour tour and we saw a couple dolphins but also enjoyed standing up at the front of the boat and chatting with the captain. They offered snacks and drinks (alcoholic and non alcoholic options) for $2 and $6. I also thought it was cool to learn that a portion of the profits they give to different charities! I've had a hard time with this because, as I said below, I do (did) like the dolphin cruise -- very much. BUT: the new owner just doesn't yet have the knack for getting a good run going with the dolphins. We spent a lot of money this past season and all we saw was a few tips of a few dolphin fins off in the distance. I know the owner is trying very hard, but it just is not like it was before. Also, the trip is not as interesting -- going down to the Coast Guard area, through the waterways behind the Snell Island houses -- that definitely adds to the enjoyment of the cruise. The trip is also a half hour shorter than it used to be. I certainly hope the captain gets up to speed pretty quickly. It's a nice little adventure to look forward to and there is nothing like spending some time with those dolphins! Go get 'em!!! read more

Even though we didn't leave a voicemail we still received a call back to answer any questions we had. The tour itself was incredible as well. We saw dolphin in before even getting out of the No Wake zone and then were able to get some others to ride right next to boat with some encouragement! Even though we booked the tour to see dolphin, we all really enjoyed the other aspects of the tour as well, including, narrative about the history of the area, trip around Bird Island and a tour of the big homes along the coast. I have to say that I wasn't expecting much. I assumed that this would just be a cheesy tourist attraction. I must say that I was pleasantly surprised. $22 gets you a two hour narrated boat tour of the St Pete waterfront and Schnell (sp?) island. I've visited St Pete several times and this is the first time I've seen it from the water. It is a nice perspective. I have to say that the houses are amazing. Definitely, how the other half lives! We also found a couple of dolphins who spent 10 minutes or so surfing the wake of our boat. All in all it was an informative trip and a bargain at the price. read more

My daughter & I just moved to Tampa from north Georgia- this is important because we have never seen a dolphin up close (or far away for that matter!) We were blown away but the number of dolphins we saw just a couple feet from us!! They rode in the wake of the front of the boat- almost like they were racing us! Up to 6 at a time!
