After standing for a few hours, I really regretted not getting a ticketed seat for myself. So in the future, I'm glad that I have that option. Once you enter The Shed, you take the escalator upstairs to get to the concert hall. At the end of the concert, the doors open and lead you out right next to The Vessel so I thought that was a nice visual perk at the end of the concert. I hope I get a chance to come back and get to walk around the place and see a little bit more of it.

Located in Hudson Yards, it's near the Vessel and other attractions unique to this developed area. Now showing--This World of Tomorrow with Tom Hanks. Theater review: seating was 3 escalator flights up where most seats were good ones. Comfortable folding style chairs with the theater exhibiting good lighting and audio. There was a mobile bar during intermission that offered wine, water and soda for purchase. I didn't see any merchandise for sale. Production review: When I learned Tom Hanks would be performing Off Broadway in "This World of Tomorrow", I was eager to get tickets. Although the production is Off Broadway, the prices were definitely Broadway and no surprise there with headliner Tom Hanks--one of my top favorite actors of all time--in the starring role. The play takes place in the year 2089 and is all about time travel with Hanks' character--Bert--traveling back to 1939 during New York's World Fair. Without giving anything away, the storyline explores themes on falling in love, technology and what makes life meaningful. We really enjoyed the production which runs through December 21. Overall, it received positive reviews. Some were mixed and in my opinion, I thought the play should have been shaved down by 20 -30 minutes (it was 2 hours + 15 min with intermission). As a Tom Hanks fan, it was truly a delightful treat on a holiday weekend.

I remember listening to the immigration stories during those sessions and crying because so many of them reminded me of my own journey, with all the hardship, loneliness, and the long road it took to start over. Walking through the Holocaust exhibits is something I will never forget. Looking at the photos and reading the captions left me completely heartbroken. The pain is something I can't fully describe. This museum honors people who endured the most unimaginable cruelty, and being there forces you to face that history with your whole heart. I've taken my niece and nephews, and we all felt the same deep sadness and respect. My nephew even had his 8th grade graduation there, which makes the place even more meaningful to me. It's a space filled with memory, grief, resilience, and reflection, and it will always hold a special place in my life. It's also helpful to know that admission is free on Wednesdays, which makes it even easier for people to experience this important and emotional museum.

‼IF YOU ARE NEURODIVERGENT READ THIS‼ I went with my husband…read moreon a Monday, and it was a lot of fun! We got the Lovers Tickets which was ~$145 for both of us together. This package included access to all of the shows and exhibits, along with a free go at each game which was actually really cool! Not to mention we each got a free cocktail and a gift bag with some sexy goodies to share. We really liked the history exhibit, and the art gallery. The games were pretty fun too! There IS a spinning stripper pole you can dance on in the bar, so if you wanna give it a go maybe wear shorts, because I wore a dress so I wasn't able to do a lot on it unfortunately but it was still fun! IT IS LOUD!! If you have sensory issues I recommend bringing ear plugs, I'm happy I had mine with me. The music is super loud and sometimes overlapping between rooms. There are also multiple exhibits with flashing lights. The Tunnel of Love is a "4D Orgy" that "nuts" on you - which is just some water mist that sprays on your face, feet and neck a few times. I personally did not like that part, but if you cover your lower face with your hands it blocks it. You don't get wet, it's just not my favorite sensory experience. The kissing game was interesting, this one has you and your partner grab some metal bars and you have to kiss for a minute straight to win a "coupon" that you get to use on each other later. FAIR WARNING - this game sends electricity between you as you kiss since you are both grabbing the bars, this doesn't hurt you and you don't feel it, but it makes your mouths taste like METAL. We were both so concerned that we had a health problem at first but thankfully my hubby is an electrician and connected the dots really quickly. Overall a super fun day! The Monday crowd was super chill and minimal. The only thing I think that would make it better is if the staff could do a better job explaining what sensory experience you might have during each game, because it was overwhelming and sometimes uncomfortable. But I think if you come prepared with ear plugs, hand sanitizer (they do have pumps but I bring my own), and shorts under your skirt/dress, then it will be a fantastic time! Be very open minded and enjoy!

Salom! If you are…read morethinking of taking Persian classes in NYC, this is the place to check out. Persian as a language is very rarely taught here and and besides going to NYU for language classes (Columbia is not teaching Persian anymore) you literally have no other options, so I was really glad that I found this online! Rates are affordable (most classes are private and flexible with timing) and the teachers are good and patient at breaking down the grammar, the alphabet as well as introduce cultural aspects of learning the language. All of that translates well into their other programs such as Persian movie night and Persian cooking classes, which are a ton of fun even if you know nothing about the language and/or culture itself. I truly hope this grows into something larger over the years, because given how diverse and multicultural NYC is, I am shocked that this is the only place that strives to provide an authentic Iranian experience to people from other cultural backgrounds such as myself. Even if you don't want to learn a new language because you find it tedious, it's NYC so get out here, make some new Iranian friends and learn something new about another side of the world. Expand your horizons!

She even weaves those into the focus for the day's lesson. Sessions are 90 minutes, which is a perfect amount of time. I feel like I can relax into the new material, but it's not so much that I'm overwhelmed. My Persian in-laws are very impressed with my progress. They think I'm a fast learner. Thanks, Solmaz!
