Wow, for the past several months my lower back was in constant pain. I don't know what caused it I just knew it was hurting and I had been to another chiropractor and had several adjustments and x-rays but nothing was working for me. I stretching, good posture etc and still pain... I have been coming to see Dr. Pierce for several years now, and I can honestly say I would not be where I am physically these days without him and his massage therapist Kira! A little about me: I am 48 years old. I was in a near-fatal car collision 20 years ago. I was 175 lbs and in great shape at the time of the accident. Because of extensive orthopedic injuries, I was unable to exercise. I weighed 255 lbs when I began seeing Dr. Pierce over 3 years ago and could not run a quarter of a mile. At the start of the pandemic, his adjustments and Kira's work on my stiff and atrophied muscles made running possible again and I lost 70 lbs! Dr. Pierce got me excited to try triathlons, and I completed my first ever Olympic distance triathlon in Malibu in September 2021! I know myself and there is no way I would have been able to navigate the numerous injuries and setbacks that my body handed me during the journey if I tried getting in shape like that alone, but Dr. Pierce and Kira got me through it and I am forever grateful that they are in my corner. This review is based on my first visit. In about 5 minutes Rick fixed problems I didn't even know I had. My back was noticeably better, which was the issue I went there for, but the real "miracle" came two days later while I was running. I had been getting terrible blisters during my runs and it was becoming a big inconvenience. During this recent run (post visit), I had no pain or irritation at all. I walked 1 mile, jogged 7 miles, and walked 1 more mile without a moment of discomfort in my feet. Apparently my back problems had caused a significant posture issue that was affecting my running experience. It was a pleasant surprise to be relieved of this nagging issue. Thanks Rick! Dr. Rick is my favorite Chiropractor of all time. I had two discs jammed together when I was 17 and I've had many "back cracking/X-Ray taking Chiropractors" try to make me better over the past 20 years or so. I had lost all hope until I went to Dr. Rick after meeting him at a few Chamber events when we moved to Discovery Bay in 2006. One day I couldn't hardly walk and caved in. I called and they asked me to come right down. I did, and much to my surprise, no xrays, no comming back 600 times. He manipulated my back, and asked me to come back each day that week. I was better in four days. Woo Hoo! Now I only go a few times in a row when it gets agrivated. (totally my fault) Somehow they always get me in the same day. I love this Dr.! read more

Dr Pierce is a great chiropractor but to be honest it has been my only chiropractor. I have lower back pain, comparable to a stabbing pain sometimes miserable and sometimes it is just a nuisance, and with a couple pops he reduced the severity of the pain by a lot! I was excited to go in after watching several chiropractor videos on YouTube seeing all the gizmos and gadgets they use but Dr Pierce doesn't use any of that which was my only let down but he still does a amazing job nonetheless. He has you lay down on your stomach pushes on your back to loosen you up. Then he has you lay on your sides and I would say hits your back which pops your lower back and does this on both sides. Then he has you lay on your back pulls you up enough to slide his hands under your shoulder blades and pushes you down on top of his hands. This part by far is the worse, it hurts, but you can feel it helping. Then he grabs your neck and cracks it. Finally he cracks both of your ankles and your set. I do find myself sore sometimes after a visit, but only for a 30 minutes or so. And it's a mild soreness and not the sharp stabbing pain I go in with. Really helpful if you have back pain. His crew is also very nice. read more

I was recommended by a couple local friends to check out this establishment for my chronic back pain. I've been experiencing stiffness and a burning sensation along my spine and although I've been getting several massages at the spa, they only seemed to temporarily mask the pain. Well, I just went about 5 days ago to see Dr. Pierce. He took an X-ray of my back to rule out any concerning issues then gave me an adjustment..omgggg, it was amazing! It was my first time seeing a chiropractor but after every crack he asked how I was doing and all I could say was "I love it". I was a little sore the next day but felt great since!
