Seems like they have another name on the receipt. It's actually Zapiecek. Found in Oldtown Warsaw, this is a popular tourist and local spot near the major attractions and Warsaw Barbican castle wall. Mid-priced for Warsaw, but offers the traditional food and atmosphere in Warsaw.
The Traditional Plate or pierogies is standard. Soft, boiled perogies, but the good part is you get to try the different types. It's labelled with a flag, but they kind of taste the same after a while. The Meat Croquettes (4 pieces) was extra crispy on the outside. The dish I was most worried about was the Pork Knuckle, but it was extra tender, juicy, and only a bit fatty. I also had the Beetroot Soup (cup) and Beer Punch, which was more fruity than expected. read more
