On a busy but rainy Thursday, old town was full of tour groups and kids. We needed lunch but everywhere was full. Though it's never a good sign that a restaurant is empty-ish, as this one was at the time, we stopped in to get a break from the rain and some food. We were pleasantly surprised by the high-quality food, exceptional service and cheap pricing. A young man was our server, and he spoke English and chatted with us at length about the world, Warsaw and traveling. It was a joy. We ordered a sausage appetizer which was to die for, my husband got the sour rye soup which came in a bread bowl and was AMAZING, and then we had entrees - I got potato pancakes with pork stew, and hubby got a pierogi platter. All the food was incredible. Very affordable and totally recommend. They even have a walk-up window outside for quick snacks and drinks. read more
