I was so disappointed in the cake. I ordered a cake from my mom's 75th birthday. I told him I didn't want a cake to look like a baby shower cake and when he bought it out, it looked just like a baby shower cake. They overcharged me $120 and whenever I asked again, what was the price for the cake they told me it was $80-$90 overall just so disappointed with this place after so many years I will never come here again. After eating lunch next door at Uncle Shwarma, I wanted a baked good. This place deserves zero stars. I opened the door and the bell rang, looked at all the baked goods for five minutes, nobody was at the counter and nobody every came to the front. Awful! We ordered a cake for a 50th anniversary party. It was supposed to be delivered at 5pm as the party started at 5:30. The cake was not delivered until 6pm. I called the store at 5:15 and they told me the driver had only left 30 minutes before. The driver should have left at 4:15 to deliver the cake. They didn't write Happy 50th anniversary to the couple on the tray like they were supposed to either. The cake tasted bland.. I used to LOVE Pierres but somewhere along the line within the last few years the quality and taste of their cakes has just been poor. Upon cutting the cake, about 1/4 of the cake had no filling. Not the same as before it was remodeled. Pierre's used to be my go to bakery in the area. I ordered an 8inch buttercream cake for a little girl and it didn't look nice , I paid extra for an edible image (LOL theme) the image was super small. And the colors they used and how the frosted was nothing special. Very plain and bland. I asked the woman about the small image and she said it was small because the letter would not have fit if it was bigger but usually they write on the cake board when that is the issue. I walked in and bought a cake that I WAS TOLD was a tiramisu cake-exactly what I was looking for. It looked like tiramisu. The lady from behind the counter even took the cake (she wasn't sure at first) to the back to "confirm" that it was tiramisu. She came back and confirmed that it was and so I bought it. If I could give it zero stars for hospitality, I would. Wanted to buy pastries since getting a muffler fixed nearby. Asked for bathroom. Told someone was in it so sat and waited. After some time I knocked the door twice with no response. Asked attendant again, Can you check for a key? She asked another attendant who haphazardly instructed where to get it. She gave me some kind of plastic thing I knew would not work in a standard lock that requires a metal key. My husband and I drove by this bakery and decided to stop by and try it. We purchased a tres leches cake which was very overpriced at $40! However, not only was the price the issue, the cake tasted absolutely horrible. By far the worst cake we have ever tasted. It was dry, and had a disgusting way of crumbling while chewing on it. I ordered a Barbie doll cake here for my niece once and asked that the Barbie be black since my niece is black. I got a call a few days later saying that they don't have black dolls, but lighter skinned dolls. Since that's not what I or my niece wanted I told them to cancel my order. Pierre Bakery's Atomic Cake was brought in our office for a birthday celebration. Their version is topped with whipped cream and glazed whole strawberries on top rather in the filling. The chocolate filling had a fluffy texture, which contrasted with the pudding like banana filling. The cake was a medium dense yellow cake with browned edges - I'm not sure whether this was purposely done or simply sat in the oven for too long. Still, everything blended together well. This cake is significantly less sweet, which I liked better, but it really comes down to personal preference. It's a nice upgrade from the bakery section at the grocery store! read more

Also bought caramel and peanut-covered green Granny Smith apples, although they couldn't slice them for me. Their mini-red velvet cupcakes weren't that good since they didn't have that strong special red velvet flavor. They have huge tres leches sheet cakes for like $40; the smaller ones you have to pre-order. Their Mexican pan dulce looks really good.
