It was worth the wait as this was an amazing night of humor, person positivity, and great talent. So, I feel like different days may have different feel. I was there on Saturday which was the gala. To start... Beachland is an interesting building... it gave me Grease High school dance vibes. I loved that the dancers mingled throughout the crowd, in fact one helped me get noticed to get a drink. So for me (a plus size lady), I am all for body positivity. I loved that there were women dancing who "looked like me". I also love that there was representation of multiple races, gender identities, sexual orientation, ethniticies, etc.... I feel like mostly everyone (I would hate to generalize) had someone they could identify with. This is why I love burlesque as a culture..... it includes everyone. My only complaint (and I dont think that they can do anything about it) is the chairs were super uncomfortable. Also another tip is to get there early. You will want a good seat.

I honestly can't believe I haven't reviewed this before. You can always count on the OBF to be a fun time. The OBF strives to show burlesque as the classic vibrant art form that it is and they do a great job curating all types of inclusive performers. If you've never experienced modern burlesque before, this is a great place to do it, because I guarantee it will be so much different than what you expect. The festival is typically at the Beachland Ballroom and the performers are always so cool! I love all the different types of performers you get to experience here, whether they are from Cleveland or beyond. You'll laugh, have an amazing time and be mesmerized by awesome talent!

Visiting this wine fest is an annual outing for my family. I love trying wines from different Ohio…read morewineries. Of course, as with everything else, the ticket price has gone up but it's still worth the money. Some places are more generous, with the pour, than others but there are so many wines to taste that you won't mind a short pour or two in the end. There is everything from sweet to dry, reds, whites and blushes. I would definitely recommend comfortable shoes for all the walking and all the wine tasting. This event seems to gain more and more visitors each year, so the lines can get long, and especially if it's a fave. I also enjoy visiting all the vendors and grabbing something to eat.

Everything was super easy and there was no line when we showed up for our 7pm time slot. Two small negatives: 1. The price at $27 bucks is a bit steep. I've got a place fairly close to me in Allentown, PA that's been doing a driving light display like this for years which is $10 less or I could go to the one at Hershey Park which would be more lights than here but is still technically cheaper. 2. In a sort of, it's not their fault category, the day prior it snowed and several of the displays weren't fully visible due to being some version of snow covered/snow obstructed. Overall this one is nice but small and before you know it, you're done. Is it worth it? For a Grinch like me, it's a waste of money, for someone who loves their Christmas, they might see this as a good investment.

Dog friendly because the paths are paved and are wide. There are 2 playgrounds total, one of them is on the top of the hill and the other is at the bottom. There are restrooms that are not the best but work. There are a few picnic tables most of them are covered. Lots of animals and lots of horses during horse fest. The bar is quite large especially if you take into account the gaming (internet sweepstakes) back room. The bar was by no means busy but did start filling up as the night went on. It was Karaoke night after all. What I really didn't care for were the gaming stations right at the bar. I can understand why they are there but it would really cut into the happy hour festivities if all your friends were just sitting there playing 'sweepstakes'. And the monitors are HUGE. It could be because I'm just not a big supporter. Also, getting here is not exactly easy especially if you don't familiarize yourself with that are first. Nav systems will be helpful if you have them (thank you Droid). High points are that the bathrooms are clean, beer was cold, and from what I hear, the bar food is pretty good. The people that come here range from the older regulars to the Eastlake dive bar crowd to the occasional college kids. Now as I don't give out 1-2 star reviews very often, I do believe in the 3 strike rule. I will return, probably for food and beers, where I'll revisit this review and update accordingly. I'd really like to see how this place is when its busy....if ever.

I was thumbing through a magazine and saw a painting hanging in a fancy house and I fell in love!! Way out of my budget probably. So I thought to myself, how hard can that be to make myself? It's an abstract, maybe I can figure it out. Still I was frozen in self doubt! Then I remembered that advertisement I saw online and contacted the artist offering the classes. Denyse was kind, helpful and insightful. She gave me suggestions, directed me to videos of her classes that would help me and even followed up!! So much encouragement, I feel like I can do it. I can go back and rewatch the videos and send questions via email if I need to. Her online classes are interactive, too! All this from the comfort of home!
