She has been extremely professional & the communication has been exceptional. I ordered a 8inch single tier mermaid themed cake along with personalized themed cookies. Not only did she create the perfect desserts, they were also super delicious. Usually I am not a fan of the taste of fondant, but I definitely enjoyed it this time around. Her Strawberry Swiss Meringue Buttercream is like heaven for your tastebuds lol Very light & fluffy but is still very sweet. We literally had no more cake left over to take home lol I am horrible at taking pictures & I definitely forgot to take one of the cookies, but let me tell you, they were PERFECT !!! I wish I took a better picture of the cake before cutting it, but it was very well made and exactly what I asked for. I had a very short window of time to receive the cake because it was a surprise birthday party for my husband and Lesly delivered the cake right on time. The cake was huge and we only finished about 1/3 of it with 12ppl. Everyone was very impressed by the cake and said it was absolutely delicious! Lesly is amazing and it definitely shows in her work! She was able to make my cousins dream baby shower cake come true. This was my first time ordering from her so I wasn't sure how her cakes were going to taste, but omg it's absolutely delicious! Super moist and yummy! I definitely recommend her! I ordered a unicorn cake for my daughter's 5th birthday and Lesly was really nice and got back to me so fast . The cake was beautiful and it tasted amazing !!! I've tried a bunch of different cakes from other bakeries and sometimes the icing is way way too sweet , especially a cake with that much detail, but when I tried the cake ( the flavor I ordered was confetti and butter cream ) it not only was moist but also NOT overly sweet! everyone loved it , even people who normally don't like cake . Meet the Business Owner: Lesly S.

My name is Lesly and I am the owner and creator of Pikabu, my cake decorating business. It grew with my family since my Mom and I decided to create a baby shower dessert table for my twin's upcoming birth back in 2012. Friends and Family were thrilled about the designs and this encouraged me to go back to school and take Baking and Pastry classes in Los Angeles. One of the most amazing experiences was being part of the famous "Cupcake Wars" and "Cake Wars" on the Food Network Channel. I loved it! I met wonderful people and learned so much from them. Making cakes and desserts is my passion and I am very blessed to do what I love!

New owners, not the same service…read more This location has been my go to for year- graduations, retirements, milestone birthdays, etc. Just called today to place an order for my son's birthday, a basic cake with his name on it. No fondant, no printed image, just frosting and script. The party is this weekend and I've always ordered week of, no issue. When I called the woman who answered the phone was very rude and just kept repeating "We only take orders 3 weeks out. We only take orders 3 weeks out. We only take orders 3 weeks out." Literally over and over. I totally understand their policy may have recently changed- but say that to me instead of repeating yourself over and over while I'm trying to speak. Again, I totally understand that policies change but at least acknowledge that it's changed. I've ordered week of many times. A simple, "Oh no! We're totally booked this weekend." or "You know what, our policy has recently changed due to high demand." would've had me coming back in the future. Definitely will not spend my money here again due to the customer service I received. Lots of fantastic bakeries in San Diego! Blessed!

We got the Iced 24 or 20 oz, I believe. I asked for the biggest they had. The chocolate tasted very light (reminiscent of a milk chocolate) and thin. I was able to taste the orange notes. The espresso was definitely lost in the drink. I wish the balance had been better, I do like the price of this drink though-- I thought it was quite fair! The girls working were kind and soft spoken. They got the drinks out in a timely manner as well. I'll come back, maybe to try a different flavor since there's multiple on the menu!

I like this place because it's off the busy streets near this industrial part of town. The coffee grinds could not be any fresher, the roasting is done behind the counter. Almost a long-time customer here!…read more So I actually stumbled upon this place by accident some years ago, but it turned out to be a VERY HAPPY accident. This small and inconspicuous warehouse factory makes the best baklava I've ever had -- so much so that it ruined other baklavas for me. I can tell that so much love, thought, and care goes into making them; the delicate layers of each piece are fresh, perfectly balanced, and not cloyingly sweet. The owners here are so sweet and they always provide a free piece with my order. They sell their baklavas in boxes only, but you get to choose from 3 different sizes. You also get to choose from different flavors (pistachio, walnut, chocolate walnut, cinnamon walnut, almond-pecan, hazelnut) and sizes (they have triangular pieces and rolled pieces), but honestly I would recommend getting all of the flavors because they are all fantastic! Overall -- for immaculate baklava in San Diego, look no further than Baklava King! Their boxes make great gifts, too.
