Nice little wine shop in the middle of the Market District. We stopped in for a quick purchase. I walked around for a couple of minutes and was approached by Mike. I told him I was looking for an Aussie Sauv Blanc. I meant to say New Zealand. Well, he said he had a Great NZ Sauv Blanc walked me over to the Seresin Sauvignon Blanc. I told him I needed another bottle similar- and he led me to the Lobo Hills Sauvignon Blanc. I took them both and were outta there in just a few minutes. It is a nice shop. They have a good selection of wines. The staff provides knowledgeable information and recommendations. Being what I consider a "Boutique" wine shop the selection is, of course limited and the prices are a little higher. But all in all a good place to go.

Arrived home safely to the Bay Area! Thank you guys!!!

Kudos to the manager and staff here at Pike & Western! During my Seattle visit, I was able to check in here and pick some local wines. I specifically wanted local wines from Washington to bring back to California. Something that would compliment BBQ red meats and grilled white fish. I picked up six bottles recommended by the staff for my upcoming dinner parties. I didn't want to lug these bad boys home on the plane so I opted to have them shipped. Shipping was less than $20.00 so it was so worth the added cost. It took about two weeks for my delivery to arrive. They ensured that the wine would travel during safe temperature conditions (via UPS ground). Upon arrival, I opened up my purchases and immediately into my wine cellar. They have a supreme way of packing your bottles. I even kept the cardboard holders for the bottles. I haven't cracked them open yet but i'm excited to host my summer dinner parties. So I'll save the last remaining star for the wine tasting. I can't share the wines I bought at this time. Stay tuned. Make note that this place is pretty expensive because its in the tourist area of Pike's Place. So expect the dealers mark up. Helpful Hint: If you're having your wine shipped to you, the best way is to ship to your work address. We all know UPS will drop your precise package unattended on your door step.

Nice wine store. Friendly and helpful staff. When we're not ordering wine online delivery, we'll buy our wine here. Recommended!

Nice little wine shop in Pike's place. Great selection from all over the world, fairly competitive prices.

I have been shopping at Pike and Western for over 25 years, beginning back when Ron was the owner and Michael Teer, an early employee.

Came here the past couple Fridays to get my weekend started and closing out a work week. The…read moreambiance here is intimate and the music isn't too loud which is great while sipping some beers. There are several beers and some ciders on tap from all around and all the ipa's I've tried here have been pretty decent. from there you grab your brew and have a seat at high top tables within the tap room. Again, the setting is mid-sized good for a couple groups of four and a few two person tables. Music is at a decent volume and is lit dimly making it decent for a date spot or just a place to have conversation without raised voices. Fridges line the tap room so you can mix and match beers, ciders and wines to take out which is cool. I like Bottleworks, I want to enjoy it more, but there are some issues holding me to 3 stars. The staff are...alright. Not bad, but I feel could be a little friendlier. Also they don't allow sample pours? This is a common thing at most breweries, but maybe it's because this is a tap room, but beers run a bit higher here - $8-9 a pour so that's annoying that you can't even try a couple. Lastly, they rotate things out it seems weekly. Some of the more popular options I suppose they keep but seems like a lot of turn around on the drinks so if you like something they have on tap, don't get too attached. Perhaps on subsequent visits It will improve, and I can boost the score here, but besides the decent beers and setting, it's just OK here.

One of the best bottle shops in the country!…read more I've had many of Bottleworks' anniversary beers in the past because they always team up with stellar breweries to make them.. but before today I have never visited the famous shop. It's smaller than I imagined it to be but every beer inside, from the draft list to the cans and the bottles are carefully curated by the staff. We grabbed a quick beer (Hill Farmstead, which is the first time I've seen this brewery for sale in the since I started this trip 6 weeks ago and Ive been through 4 states) Then we shopped for some cans, we quickly had to refrain from buying too much as the refrigerator in our van only holds so much. We ended up with a six pack and then grabbed a mystery 4 pack on the way out (mystery 4 pack was stellar). While we're shopping they opened a sour from Jester King and shared it with us. I honestly wish I lived a bit closer (Las Vegas is kinda far) because I'd be here everyday... Honestly, they have a whole cooler just for barley wine! The staff are very knowledgeable about beer and are very hospitable. Thanks for a great experience!
